L'Andana Ratings and Reviews
Never thought I would spend that much on an 8oz Filet. Although very tasty.
I guess just price wise it would not be a place I would dine at on a regular basis.
Two people, 2 steaks and an app, no drinks or dessert, $150 w/tip.
Nice place for a special occasion.
The staff at L'Andana was great. They were all very attentive. When we got there, we spent some time at the bar for a drink and to catch up. Then we moved over to our 6PM table reservation around 6:20PM. Food was amazing. I left a note that we were both celebrating November birthdays because they asked as part of the reservation process. The staff surprised us with a chocolate lava type cake after our meals. It was amazing.
I used to go to this restaurant quite often when it first opened. It was amazing back then so I decided to return to a favorite spot for a special occasion celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. Service was top notch. Attentive, patient and kind. I'll get right to the food. The calamari appetizer was over powered with lemon sauce (floating in it) and large slices of white onions over the top. It was cut into small bites and the portion was very small. The arrangement didn't make sense. The sausage & fig portion was tiny (two small pieces of sausage) and I managed to find sporadic tiny bits of what I assumed was fig inside the sausage. The sauce did not match with the dish. I'm not quite sure what it was. Possibly a red pepper reduction? My guest and I really couldn't figure it out. A sauce to bring out the fig would have been more appropriate since it was so scarce in the sausage itself. Would have helped bring it out. So basically it tasted like a regular sausage.
The main meal was the special for the evening (fish)and a steak. I cannot say much about my guest's meal other than the fish was about 3 inches big and vegetables were very scarce. She wasn't very impressed "it's ok". My steak was a fantastic quality and I enjoyed the meat. The pepper crust however needed a little more attention. There were too many large pieces of peppercorn making it uncomfortable to eat and overpowered the delicious steak. My biggest disappointment was the vegetable. I was served a SMEAR of sweet potato. I would have expected this in an appetizer for flavor or on a dessert dish for decoration but not on the main dinner plate. Would it have killed them to serve a portion of sweet potato? Something to actually eat and not use as a garnish?
Dessert was fabulous in portion, presentation, variety on the plate and delicious.
Overall our meal was not the experience I was anticipating and unfortunately will not be returning.
The food was excellent. The extra waitstaff was as attentive as they could be. Our waitress, however, rarely checked in on our table and we were constantly looking for her. Whether or not this is because it was too crowded on a Friday night or because we were sitting in the back room, i am not sure.
The service was excellent - attentive but not obtrusive. The food, as always, was very tasty and presented well. The three of us lingered long after the meal was done, talking. We were not rushed out the door. This is one of our favorite restaurants west of Boston, and we'll be back, again and again.
I have been here before, but it’s been awhile and I have to say my experience was phenomenal. First our server Edison was great! He paced things perfectly and made the dining experience a pure pleasure! Had the featured drink which was a grape cosmo, which was a terrific twist on the traditional cosmo. Started with the fried calamari which was delish, lightly fried and not at all greasy. Then the salmon which was cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go back.
Had a reservation at 8pm, but still waited 20 more minutes for seating. Crowded bar area with fairly large menu.
Excellent cocktails (Pear sangria & Aztec Manhattan) and quick service, once we finally ordered. Large portion of the appetizer-size pasta and great, simple chocolate lava-style cake with excellent sorbet. Very fresh ingredients
Dined at L’Andana for my wife’s birthday. It was an incredible evening. Started with and ended with fantastic valet service. Once inside, we were kindly greeted and they offered birthday wishes to my wife. The food and drinks were awesome. The staff and our server, Edvaldo, were professional, courteous, and attentive. Outstanding evening. Thank you.
We are regulars here and was surprised at the extremely slow service for a relative slow Monday evening when we arrived at 5:30. There were few tables occupied but we waited quite a long time for drinks and bread basket. As the tables filled up the service became even slower. Maybe they are understaffed?
Enjoyed a great meal here to celebrate a Birthday. Everyone was very welcoming upon entering and we were seated quickly. Started with some great appetizers including delicious mussels, salads, carpaccio, and pasta. All were excellent. Entrees were equally as delicious. Dining room was much quieter than previous visits here, so whatever they did to adjust the noise level was a great improvement as it did stop us previously from dining there more frequently. Glad to know it’s better now and we can enjoy going there once again. Prices were reasonable, but would’ve enjoyed a small side on the entrees, instead of everything being a la Cart. Even 2-3 small roasted potatoes or 3 spears of asparagus to break up the dish a little while eating. Sever was gracious and attentive and gave good suggestions as to what to order.
Once again, a FABULOUS experience! The food was exceptional, especially the appetizer special -- smoked steak tartare! It should be put on the regular menu. Service was exceptional, we were not rushed, cocktails were superb. We have been going to L'Andana since it first opened many years ago. It fast became our favorite restaurant -- and it still is! Don't hesitate.
If you want excellent food, go to L'Andana. The menu is well-crafted and delivers consistently over-the-top flavors. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I love the Tuscan steak, the swordfish with peppers, the game hen is the best comfort food ever, the tuna tartare is a treat. The baby iceberg lettuce with porkbelly with have you licking the bowl and it would seem appropriate!
If you want excellent service, go to L'Andana. The waitstaff bar none is the best from parking your car to delivering service with efficient and friendly aplomb.
If you are celebrating, go to L'andana. It will make the celebration that much more menmorable. If you just want a great experience, go to L'Andana!
Just go to L'Andana...or any of the Columbus Group restaurants. They all deliver excellence!
Very cool restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Had the bone in filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked. My wife had the boneless filet and that was cooked perfectly as well. The flavors of the meat and sides did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
L'Andana has been a go to of mine for a number of years... dating and special occasions just that much more special and memorable here. Truly hospitality and attention to detail defined. It's the perfect blend of mouth watering Tuscan cuisine, ambiance and outstanding service to compliment any special occasion or romantic evening. Love the dining experience and exemplary service that L'Andana loves to deliver...
