In 2007, Chef Jamie Mammano took his experience and talents to the suburbs of Boston with the opening of L’Andana. Went her with my girlfriend for her birthday. The food was better than expected. We ordered the beet salad, filet and lobster gnocchi. The presentation on the beets were great. Filet was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious, though I felt the balsamic and garlic topping was underwhelming. The lobster gnocchi feature way more lobster than I would have expected. The ambience is definitely more suburban than what you would find in Boston, but parking was easily available. Decor is French country.
Service and food as well as expected. Suggestion were excellent.
Fantastic place. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive.
I've eaten there a number of times and never had a bad meal or experience. The service is impeccable.
I’ve requested flowers for my anniversary but they failed providing it and blaming OpenTable for not communicating with them.
Also, they apparently ran out of sword fish, this is unacceptable, for this type of restaurant they should have everything available since their dinner many isn’t that large...
Overall, they didn’t meet my expectations....
Outstanding. Reservation on time..not rushed. Waitstaff impeccable and attentive. Food scrumptious. Even the valet was great. I give everything a 10...
Despite having a reservation, was placed in the bar area, on a too-small hightop table, next to a large party having a reception and crowded us. Manager didn’t care when we complained.
Incredible Service! We went out to celebrate 3 separate family occasions which L'Andana recognized all 3 individually. My wife's Birthday, Mother's Day, and in-laws 40th wedding anniversary. Food was fantastic and the above and beyond efforts truly made for a memorable experience.
Amazing as always. L’Andana has been our “go to” spot for special nights. It did not disappoint!
Food was excellent as was the service. Experience was even better since we were being treated as it is not a cheap meal.
Great atmosphere and friendly service. The drinks and appetizers started out great but the service was extremely slow and we sat forever with empty drinks. The steaks were very good but the side was not and my husband's salmon was very fishy. We wanted to try dessert but were afraid we would be sitting another hour and had waited long enough. I had read previous reviews regarding the service being poor but thought we would give it a try, wouldn't go back, overall it was just not worth the price.
It has been two years since we last ate at L'Andana, due to moving out of the area. It was a favorite then, so we recommended as a nice to place to catch up with friends we hadn't seen in a while. Service was very nice -- a good balance of formal and familiar, and neither too fast nor too slow. However, the food didn't have the sparkle that we remembered. It was fine, but nothing we would rush back to. Is there new management, or a new chef? Best course was the dessert, a strawberry-rhubarb crostata.
Excellent from start to finish. James was fantastic. The service is outstanding & the food from the main course to how perfectly the vegetables are done are exceptional. My favorite place to dine.
We recently went to celebrate our anniversary and we were very happy with the evening. We were wished Happy Anniversary by the hostess and servers. This is a great restaurant to celebrate s special occasion.
Honestly, quite possibly one of my favorite dinning experiences - ever! Every course was superb. My family and I frequent higher end steakhouses from time to time and L'Andana will likely be our "go to" from now on. The cuisine was excellent and such a great value for what you pay. There are times when going to a high end restaurant that the food is not worth the price you pay but that was NOT the case at L'Andana. I'm raving about this experience to all my friends and colleagues because I think this place is a bit of a hidden gem. The Lobster Gnocchi was unlike any lobster pasta dish I have ever had before. My boyfriend and I shared the aged Prime Rib and it was phenomenal. Even our iceberg salad with panchetta and oven roasted tomatoes was excellent - and that was just an iceberg salad! For your next special occasion dinner, go to L'Andana. We definitely will!
Great food, great service!
So nice, really enjoyed the atmosphere and dishes!
Great experience from booking on Open Table to the complimentary Anniversary desert. Well done all around
Great restaurant! We found on opentable and was very nice. Really high ceiling keeps the noise down when the restaurant is full. We all had really good meals and extremely pleasant waiter. I recommend this restaurant.
Our favorite restaurant by far- top notch service, food, drinks and atmosphere. We are getting married here in October and cannot wait to celebrate our marriage here. Thank you L'Andana for always being wonderful to us!
My wife and I split the $64 bone-in aged steak Saturday night. You load it too much with oils, butter and flavoring to the point you cannot taste the beef. It was gamey tasting as well. We realized something was wrong the steak the next morning when we both had upset stomachs and intestinal issues. Our waitress Olivia was very nice but wish we didn't have to wait so long for service. I believe the wait was due to both the number of large tables she serviced and the distance between our table near the gas fireplace and the bar. I also suspect having one bartender slows the process as well. Pam is a wonderful person and mixes great drinks but wish she had help. It's impossible to strike up a conversation with her when she is literally running from one end of the bar to the other. I suggest setting up a 2nd bar station in the back dining room to shorten the drink service to the tables. Years ago we visited L'Andana more frequently but have not been in a year because the menu never changes. Don't get me started on the hard wooden bar stools with short wooden backs that screech when being moved. Not comfortable at all.
Mike was our server and was outstanding !!!! Very knowledgeable about the wine list and menu. We had a fantastic evening for our anniversary celebration.
The food is excellent. However we went on Easter day when there were limited choices.
Food was superb and the waiter was exceptional.
My family just enjoyed the most delicious Easter Sunday dinner. The staff was gracious and service superb. This is my next choice to host a business dinner.
Wonderful restaurant! Service and food are exceptional. It is a bit pricey but the portions are a good size and the quality of the food is outstanding. Highly recommend!! Great place for a family event or date night.
Very comfortable and excellent service. All the dishes were fantastic
we frequent this restaurant often, the Food is the best around and always consistant. our server on Saturday night was very unattentive and would leave dirty dishes as well as menus at the table. it took him 20 min to even acknowledge the table.
The server was very knowledgable and helpful. The food was excellent. Food allergies were accommodated without sacrificing the presentation, composition or flavor. Great wine list. Overall, this is a fabulous dining experience.
My favorite steak anywhere around Boston - Great place.
This restaurant group knows how to make your dining experience a memorable one.
A great eating experience.
Michael was a great server. Food was delicious. Nice ambiance.
It was a flawless meal. There wasn't a single aspect, whether it was the main dish, side dish, appetizer, salad, that wasn't excellent.
L'Andana is a special place and for the past several years it has been our 'go to' spot for special celebrations like Confirmations and wedding anniversaries.
The food never disappoints and the Pana Cotta is always scrumptious.
Service is always impeccable and this is indeed a high end restaurant experience.
The pricing will reflect that and as long as you are prepared, there will be no surprises.
Great food. We had several pasta dishes and they were spot on. Also had a wonderful 1/2 bottle of a barolo. Waiter was excellent. Very knowledgeable and had the right level of attentiveness. Definitely will be back.
It's our favorite place for a reason. Last minute Sunday night date plans without any kids. Perfect evening.
Celebrating a birthday. Great evening. Attentive service.
A wonderful place to celebrate a special event. Thank you again for making it so special.
