In 2007, Chef Jamie Mammano took his experience and talents to the suburbs of Boston with the opening of L’Andana. Inspired by its namesake trattoria nestled in the olive groves of the foothills of Tuscany, Chef Jamie Mammano offers the simplicity and freshness that defines Wood-Grilled Tuscan cuisine.

The room and service is excellent. We were treated extremely nice and all employees worked extremely hard to make a memorable night. Everyone was smiling and very helpful. We loved the pasta and would highly recommend it to any pasta lover. Our recommendation to management would be to work on the steak. The quality of meat (we had rib eye) for $47 was poor. With steakhouses nearby, the rib eye needs to be improved. Besides that, we highly recommend this place.
I hadn’t been to L’Andana in at least a year and boy, have I been missing out!!! We ordered a bunch of different items to sample and everything was so delicious. The burrata and grilled peaches was to die for, as was the corn risotto. The meatballs have always been amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked and panna cotta was the perfect ending. Highly recommend!!! Can’t wait for our next meal at L’Andana!!!
Highly recommended. The food and service were impeccable. The manager and waitress/ staff were highly attentive but not obtrusive. Great atmosphere.
Pricey but good wine and date restaurant. I wouldn't suggest as a restaurant to frequent, just for special occasions.
Great service, great food !
Excellent food and restaurant!! I will be going again very soon :)
One of our favorites.
Jen, the trainee waitress was outstanding. She is full of personality and very courteous. She will make a great waitress for you. I wanted to make sure to single her out because she would make me want to go back.
I think the prices are pretty steep. You can get the same dishes for about $10 cheaper a plate at many other upscale restaurants. Don't get me wrong, everything was great but I just think why be so pricey when we can go other places and get the same caliber food?
Exceptional value. Great wine and great food. Service was commensurate.
Food was excellent. The server, James was really fantastic. Always discreet and polite he was very professional, with a bit of respectful and subtil humour.
This restaurant always delivers. My veal chop done to perfection with a delicious topping. My husband's tuna tartare he says is the best he's had in a long time, again very flavorful. Pricey, but lives up to its price.
We have not been disappointed by L'Andana yet. We commented that while it is certainly a fine dining experience, with stellar service and customer attention, it maintains a relaxed and fun setting.
Absolutely fantastic time. It was my first time going there, and I can gladly say I’ll be visiting again. Great food, great atmosphere
The service and food were excellent, we look forward to our next visit.
Had a wonderful evening celebrating husbands birthday with the kids! Delicious Filet Mignon asparagus and yummy mashed potatoes. Server heard of the Birthday celebration and graciously delivered a sweet treat as celebration for my husband. We have been ofter and will continue to do so. Love each time we dine here!!
It’s was my wife’s birthday and everything went well
Truly exceptional food in a lovely environment. Staff is highly professional and polished yet friendly and hospitable.
The healthy food was tasty too.
One exception is the grilled Salmon two of us had, the over burnt surface of the fish (inside it was perfect), is not so healthy (probably equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarets. We've cut of the burnt surface).
Overall excellent experience an office celebration for a long term staff member
L’Andana provides a lovely setting, and a very nice selection from the menu, with a very attentive wait staff. However, we found that the food did not measure up to the price tag based on multiple experiences. That said, there is one incredibly exceptional reason to go, for their Panna Cotta di Caramello dessert. It is truly amazing. You could easily go for a glass of wine and this dessert and call it a night. With that, you could have an amazing experience.
Disappointed this time
Always a great experience. I have been here many times and have never been disappointed.
Anniversary dinner with the bride. Started with the Tequila cocktail that was great. We split a beet salad, nice presentation and good taste, they split the order for us. Wife ordered the Filet and I ordered the 14 oz Prime Ribeye and a bottle of Il Feuduccio, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Her Filet was prepared as ordered but my Prime Ribeye came and it was an 8 oz Sirloin. I cut into it to take a bite and confirm it was not a Ribeye and it was indeed a sirloin. When I asked the waitress, she said she would confirm with the kitchen and confirmed it was not a ribeye and asked if I would prefer the ribeye instead of the sirloin. Ah, yes that is what I ordered! They left the sirloin (I did not eat) and returned in 5 mins with the correct order. Wine was good, we elected to skip dessert but they brought a panacotta for our Anniversary. Food was "OK" service was very good, not outstanding. Most of the tables for 2 are very close together so if you leave to visit the restroom you need to be careful getting back to your seat that you don't know something over on the table next to you. For the prices here, and the tight seating arrangement you will have a better meal and ambiance @ Capital Grill or Bancroft.
Good and service are impeccable- parking lot gets a bit crazed on the weekends.
L'Andana in Burlington has always been on my list of favorite restaurants on the North Shore. But, that is no longer the case. My Husband and I and another couple dined there this past Saturday evening. Dirty plates left on the table for an extended period of time was one complaint I had, but not the only one. The biggest complaint of the night was my Husband's entrée came out approximately five minutes after. Not only was this not removed off the bill, but the portion was extremely small and my Husband was disappointed. Comments were made on the portion size by our other friends and at $38.00 for an entrée size, my husband was extremely disappointed. For one of my go-to restaurants in the past, new management has impacted a change for regular diners and personally, I will no longer be dining at this restaurant anytime soon.
A genuinely refined dining experience in an increasingly unrefined world. No cell phones on tables; no TVs in view; just an environment that promoted good conversation over an excellent meal. Our server, Andrea, was an experienced professional who timed our meal perfectly. We had plenty of time to enjoy cocktails -- an Aztecan Manhattan in my case -- while we looked over the menu. Our table was evenly split between seafood pastas and steaks; I had the gnocchi with lobster as a special birthday treat. I still salivate when I think about it 3 days later! We are so glad that we finally tried L'Andana and can only wonder why it took us so long!
We have been to L'Andana several times before for special occasions (it's a bit pricey), and we fans, but our last outing a year ago was disappointing, mostly due to poor wait service and a general lack of attention and apparent understaffing, and the food was not as excellent as usual, so we decided not to go for a while, as it is a bit pricey. That said, we wanted to take some good friends out for a special meal somewhere quiet, so we gave it another chance, and were glad we did. Everything was outstanding, from meal, appetizers, main courses, desserts, portions ..., to drinks to service. It made for a memorable night, and was worth the extra expense. We will be back!
Food was delicious, service almost perfect, delightful wait staff. Excellent wine.
I highly recommend the beet salad!
Celebrating our 6 month engagement anniversary
Excellent service and food
Great experience but we didn’t like our waiter, he was hard to understand with his heavy foreign accent, he spoke too fast, did not listen or want to understand and rushed us through the ordering process. If I wasn’t with others I would have dismissed him.
Hard to leave review when food so bad. Usually we love Landana. Veal chop tough. Both entrees ( one swordfish) heavily coated with balsamic. They redid both meals but evening spoiled. Must ask manager not shake hands when diners about to eat. Disappointing
Seating is not comfortable
Waitress was rude
No veal Parmesan at Italian restaurant
Unable to accommodate chicken Caesar salad with chicken (only have breaded chicken)
service was outstanding!! food was excellent.. I was pleased with the whole experience and will definately go back.
As usual - excellent all the way around. Management always stays involved ready, willing and able to solve even the smallest of issues.
Excellent food and service. Always have a great meal here.
Well done. Service food. All good
Excellent place for special occasion celebrations. Great service, nice cocktails, great desserts (I highly recommend zeppole and panna cotta). Solid appetizers: assorted salumi, meatballs with polenta, cheese fonduta (roasted garlic was a nice touch). Excellent bread with sun-dried tomato pesto. Two pasta dishes (Bolognese and the one with lamb sausage and smoked paprika) were not memorable. Tuscan steak with arugula was good, but at $40 nothing special to justify the price. The best dish of the evening was French fries with truffle oil and parmesan. It proved to be a good combination, thanks to the good-quality truffle oil. The service was really great: helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We even got a special birthday dessert (scoop of ice cream with a cookie and a candle).
Our server, Kevin, was genuine, knowledgeable and warm. He interacted with my 7 year old son in a way that made him feel important and included in the dining experience and decisions. All staff seemed seasoned and no clumsiness. I started with the PO cocktail, a pear based libation. I've had something similar in CA but with a salted rim and requested mine as such. It was delicious. Definitely ask for the salted rim if you get this. The only thing I would change next time is to not drizzle my glass with honey before the pour, as it makes it a tad sweet for me. Kevin recommended the flatiron steak special with chimichurri sauce and fresh garbanzo beans as I mentioned most steaks are too large for me and I don't like filet mignon. It was so wonderful. So much flavor with the sauce and herb garnish. I cleaned my plate. My son had the meatballs and they added pasta for him. He is a vanilla and whipped cream fanatic so Kevin accommodated his request for a scoop of ice cream with a dollop of whipped cream. I opted for the panna cotta which was highly recommended. I usually avoid this dish as I have had bland, gelatinous blobs in the past. This was one of the best desserts I've ever put in my mouth. It was creamy, dense enough, silky and had a slight caramel flavor from a light sauce on top. It was sprinkled with roasted and pralined nuts here and there and had a caramel lace tuile nestled on top for the ultimate contrast in textures and taste that work so perfectly. It is like the sugar glass on a creme brulee but so much better. I was stuffed and happy and was here to reserve a table for when my husband is back and had to share with my OP friends. We recently moved here from the North Jersey/NYC area and we were so disappointed with the food in Boston and some other towns close to Boston. We are now in the know that the burbs is where it's at.
