Superb ambiance, food and service. Kudos to our waiter Noam, who made it a great experience!
This is an upscale establishment. Expect to pay around $80 - 100 per person for an appetizer, entree, dessert and wine. The quality is excellent.
My fiancé and I went here on Valentine’s Day and had a true candle light dinner! Food was great.
Extremely disappointed. When a place is described as being jacket or collared shirt required for men, one would expect a fabulous place. The food quality was very poor and Highly overpriced for what we received. Our server was friendly but lacked knowledge of the menu. This restaurant needs an overhaul in food and service.
Beautiful ambience, great server, excellent food and dessert. The bake Alaska one of the best i ever had.
We made an Opentable reservation weeks before and it as confirmed. I had read reviews that others did not get reservation honoured. We received a call the day of reservation to advise they were really busy and could not honour our original 7:00 reservation? Hmmm...I say... They wanted it changed until 8:00.. We had no choice but to go for 8:00 .. We were asked by other guests if we had the package we did not.So my thoughts are if you are on a hotel package you get in at the time requested if you are not staying at hotel you are pushed aside u til a slot becomes available.. As we were..Not happy.. Our food was okay. It was not alot for what we paid in Canadian dollars. I had 2 tiny peices of half cut bread upon arrival , no appetizer, husband had Shrimp..etiquette is always 5 ..nope you got 3 medium shrimp that was a ripoff! Dinner was a porckchop ,rice and a half corn on the cob burnt.. Banana Foster for dessert which was not made as I expected just bananas and ice cream flambed..Each had one glass of wine... $250 cdn ...Would not return as just too expensive. Waiter was nice but boy oh boy did we feel rushed ..Everything he did was in a hurry. The view was the nicest part of our dinner. It was supposed to be candlight but due to being in a hurry he never lit our table candle.. Live and Learn.. FYI..they dont prioritize Opentable reservations.
All four of us had Filet Mignon and shrimp cocktails. The steaks were very good; no waste and done correctly. They were very tender. The shrimp cocktail was three very jumbo shrimp and plenty of cocktail sauce.
The service was excellent. Our waitress (Sam) was excellent. She was friendly, efficient, but not over bearing.
There was a live harp player playing during dinner; a very nice touch.
My only complaint is the very high prices. I know you have to pay for quality, but I still think it was a tad high priced.
We had a delightful experience at Geneva on the Lake Lancelloti restaurant.
Service was delightful and food exceptional
The only negative was that we ordered Baked Alaska, and waited over 30 mins at which point we had to cancel in order to make our prebooked show.
The food as usual was wonderful. The filets were cooked to perfection...even the medium one! The waitress was great. This is one of our favorite places to eat when we are in the area...it never disappoints us.
Wonderful evening with beautiful piano music as well as food and service.
Had wonderful meal. Great wine selection.
Great place for Mother’s Day dinner. Waitress was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Beautiful setting in historic room with views of the Lake. Service excellent. Candlelight and live harp music extremely romantic. Many local purveyors. Enjoyed the duck very much. Large selection of Finger Lakes wines.
It's a unique intimate setting with live dinner music and good food.
Very cozy and beautiful. The view of the lake was wonderful. The food was delicious. I also met the owner during my visit! He was very amiable, and explained some interesting facts about the estate. He was even gracious enough to take a photo with me at my request! Excellent experience! Would definitely recommend Lancelotti dining room at Geneva on the Lake to others!
I took my boyfriend here as a birthday surprise and we absolutely loved it. The food was outstanding. I had the Filet it was cooked to complete perfection. He had the duck and it was just right too. What a wonderful experience. They even played happy birthday on the piano and brought him out a crème brulee. Our server was so sweet and kind. He has not stopped raving about how much he enjoyed it. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful evening.
Loved this restaurant! Great food, portions just right, and delicious! Highly recommend.
So romantic and special! Thanks for a memorable night!
Beautiful live piano music for a romantic dinner.
Everything was perfect. Noah was amazing. He went above and beyond in every way possible. The food was incredible, grounds and building are gorgeous and the harp music just added to the overall perfection of the night
Wonderful experience - great location, ambience, food and service. We had the filet and the halibut special. Both were exceptional. Menu is limited. Our server Alexa was terrific. Would recommend to anyone, particularly for a special occasion as the prices are high. We did not know that the filet came with a starch (the menu mentioned just the vegetable of the day). Both entrees came with an appetizer salad also not mentioned on the menu.
Our server Ethan saved the day. It seened a little disorganized when we first went in - no one to meet us and the harp player (not piano) was the first person we saw and never looked up. That being said Ethan quickly approached and was terrific. This young man (20 yrs old) had the maturity and perfect demeanor to handle both dining rooms totally by himself! He is a natural and it is specifically because of him that our special birthday dinner was a success. Thank you Ethan!!
beautiful setting with live music and very fresh food
Delightful evening....a little delay getting check...
Everything was perfect. The food was amazing and the service was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The ambiance and service was excellent. The food was ok, nothing special. They had a trio playing the night we were there, and they were outstanding.
What an incredible dinner we had! We stayed at Geneva on the Lake and dined here for dinner and WOW! Just outstanding! The pineapple-lime-ginger soup was amazing as was the shrimp cocktakl. We all got the special of the day: surf and turf. I’ve been dreaming of it since! Dessert was a blueberry-peach-apricot fruit crisp which finished off the meal perfectly. All this paired own delicious wine, gorgeous view and enjoyable piano music. Definitely a meal to remember!
One anecdote encapsulates the tenor of our fabulous meal — the general manager of the hotel told us he stops at a farm stand “across the lake” early every morning for tomatoes for the dining room — and they, along with the rack of lamb, were the best I have ever eaten. The attention to locally sourced food and to every detail, a culture of service that seems second nature for all staff, and culinary tradition that is outstanding and clearly a matter of pride distinguish this lovely restaurant. The dining room is candle-lit and intimate with a piano player.
They Did not honor our reservation on open table, cited overbooking and turned us away
Service was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and efficient. The grounds were beautiful and nicely manicured. Ask for a table by the window to see the lake.
My husband is a serious carnivore and his food was amazing. He had the shrimp cocktail and filet mignon. There were a handful of other meat selections.
I am a vegetarian and the choices for my evening were limited and not very creative. Heirloom tomatoes with burrata was great. Pre dinner salad was boring and plain. Polenta entre was ok, but not memorable.
Wine choices were good.
For the price I would not recommend for a veggie or vegan. But it is meat eaters paradise. Worth doing.
Tremendous location and views of the lake. Ambience, second to none. My only complaint was the appetizers...a scallop and my other half had a crepe. Both were good, but served cold. I suspect kitchen space is constrained but microwaving those 2 would have added significantly to the quality of the dish. At least the menu should have said 'served cold.' Other than that entree's were wonderful and dessert, baked Alaska, was amazing!
In the top 10% of restaurants, expertly prepared food, amazing ambiance, a place to dine in a fine way. Above excellent service.
Very nice experience, intimate dining. The only problem was the loud live music. Pleasant, but too loud, even for piano music.
Birthday celebration.
I drove 20 miles from my hotel to go to this restaurant. I made a reservation through OpenTable a day before and received a confirmation of my reservation. When I got the the restaurant it was closed. Someone came out of the office and said there were not any reservations on the computer so they closed. I never had or heard of anyone making a reservation on OpenTable before and having the restaurant be closed. I recommend making the reservation on the phone to confirm the restaurant is open.
What a wonderful experience! Brian the chef, and Alexa the hostess were phenomenal!!! They made my wife's birthday a very memoriable event. I can't say enough great things about Lancellotti's atmosphere. Talk about romantic! They even made a special requested birthday New York style cheesecake for my wife's birthday and did many other great things for us! I will definitely be coming back and bring the love of my life with me!
The Lancellotti dinning room at Geneva on the Lake truly serves a great cuisine with an alluring and romantic atmosphere with it's live instrument music playing until 9pm. The reservation through OpenTable was quick and easy to process. I am very pleased with the speed at which the process took place. Would recommend to friends and family if they need to reserve any location for a dinner cuisine or any event.
Fine ambience for Valentine's Day dinner date. Service was superior - Alexa was very attentive and professional. Live piano added to the ambience of the former mansion. I enjoyed the dinner special of salmon, and my wife enjoyed the lamb shank. Her salad and my appetizer were also very good. We shared a flourless chocolate cake for dessert, and were also presented with heart-shaped cookies with the bill. An ideal spot for a formal dinner date.
We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Food and service are excellent. Piano player is a nice touch.
Amazing harp player, great ambience & service!
