This restaurant is very popular and heard mixed reviews so we decided to dine in here as early celebration of Father's Day. I booked a reservation and the process has been smooth. We arrived on time at 10:30 am and the place is quite crowded already with a queue and we are glad that we were able to secure the reservation knowing it's a holiday. Staff are very organized and accommodated us right away. We were seated indoors which I prefer since weather has been rainy lately. The ambience is cozy. We ordered their Fried chicken basket, Binagoongang Bagnet, Lengua, Mushroom chicharon and coffee (Biscoff Latte, Caramel Macchiato, Spanish Latte, White chocolate mocha). Food is really good and contrary on what I read online, serving size is just right. Love their Fried chicken and Binagoongang Bagnet the most. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Their coffee is a bit on the expensive side but otherwise delicious. The view outside is nice, a good overlooking view of Talim island and Laguna de Bay. Since it is surrounded by nature, expect flies (but not so much indoors unlike what many people in Google reviews said) and smell of farm animals nearby. I think it's worth the hype and drive. I have tried many overlooking new restaurants around Rizal and this one is definitely included in the list of the good ones. Coffee is also great which is honestly rare in the area haha. Price point is expensive though most overlooking aesthetic restaurants around Rizal have pretty similar range. I commend the staff for being very professional yet warm and accommodating.

We were given a table even before our reservation time. They missed out serving one of our orders, instead of 2 chicken baskets, they only served one. We followed up 3 times to 3 different staffs but no feedback was given. They served the chicken basket when everyone was done eating. Thanks, anyway. At least we have something to bring home.

Outdoor view was the best, service was excellent, most of the food we ordered was quite good. Tips: We found the Maya maya fish dish which was nothing spectacular in taste was utterly overpriced at P1350! The Beef ribs pinatisan sa kamatis which we ordered for take out was the worst. They gave us 3 pcs of short ribs swimming in gravy that looked and tasted like a concoction of mushroom soup, beef cube and knorr seasoning. It was clearly rushed and looked nothing like the picture on Lanai’s FB acct. I brought this up and PMd the resto and I received an apology that sounded like a form letter. No attempt at properly addressing my complaints.
