Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails is Mills area’s newest dining and nightlife concept. Playfully yet eloquently named, Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails got its inspiration from the idea to ‘hangout and throw some shade in conversation’ while paying homage to the history of its building, previously The Lamp Shade Fair, well-known by locals for over 50 years.

The Asian-influenced tapas style menu showcases seasonal and local provisions of the Orlando community in innovative dishes that Executive Chef for Thriving Hospitality, Ryan Stewart, has meticulously developed.

Lamp & Shade's comprehensive beverage program features riffs on tiki classics tying back to the influential Asian roots of cocktails, pairing nicely with Chef’s selection of Asian inspired faire.

What a great Father’s Day experience. We came at the latter end of brunch. We moved three times from the bar to the middle to a table on the side. They were very accommodating and super sweet. We only moved because we had a third-party join us that had a baby. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend. We stayed until after four so that we could get the Caesar salad bites, which are unbelievably good. You just have to go and try them.

What a surprise! Service was stellar (started slow but when Teddy showed up he made everything perfect). Food was wonderful, tasty and creative. They accommodated my wife’s severe dairy/egg allergy with a smile and extra touch of care, really appreciated that. Cocktails were exceptional, strong even, and Teddy walked the ladies through the wine menu with samples. Decor was vibrant and fun…..we can’t wait to return and share Lamp & Shade with more friends!

Lamp & Shade is such a VIBE, great date night place in an adult atmosphere with creative dishes and drinks. We drive an hour to visit and thoroughly enjoy every time.

Way too expensive for the type of food we ate. We paid 700$ for 5 adults and one child. We were still hungry when we left.

This place is a GEM! Gorgeous atmosphere. Attentive service and recommendations that did NOT disappoint (#Abri). We went on a Tuesday “shuck” night. That grilled lemon with the oysters. Ah. Perfection. Caesar bites, curry mussels are out of this world in flavor! A true MUST! And the Risotto… heavily. Great dish to share. All around a MUST. Can’t wait to go back!

This is the best food I’ve had in years, definitely some of the best food I’ve eaten. We booked for a large party of 10 earlier this week and barely had a conversation because everyone was too busy marveling over the food and encouraging each other to “try this,” “no try this,” “this is incredible” etc etc. It’s so good we’re going back. Don’t miss this one.

What a wonderful surprise. Recently, we have been to a number of places that while they looked gorgeous, the food and/or beverages were lacking. Not here. The cocktails were some of the finest we have enjoyed and the food, beautiful and delicious. We will be back. Definitely our new fave for brunch in Orlando. Try the skirt steak, deviled eggs and the crab and grits. Fabulous!
