Came here to celebrate our anniversary and was paired with John who was amazing. We also was served by the manager also named John and he was also amazing. The food was perfect and so were the drinks. We will be coming back!
Great place for dinner! The pizzas are AMAZING, especially the mushroom pizza.
Great selection of wines and cocktails and a beautiful ambiance
Just overall felt it was touristy and a chain like restaurant feel. Flavors were odd on every dish. Uses various spices that don’t blend well together. Bread was chewy and olive oil seemed old. One positive was s the pasta was cooked perfectly. I order the veal bolognese and the chicken.
Now having dined there several times (and am perfectly happy about that) I can confirm that it is a VERY noisy restaurant. Table-mates must shout at each other when the place is on full-tilt. I had to ask to hear a description of the nightly specials twice and even then I only got the broad strokes so I had to use my imagination. I can't remember from my dining experiences pre-COVID, but, the menu on July 28 struck me as somewhat limited - although what I ordered was absolutely excellent. No room for dessert, that's how good it was. My two tablemates could not finish their entrees as they found them "too spicy" which strikes me as something that should be made clear in the menu, no? My martini glass looked more like a champagne glass which is somewhat of a disappointment for the real martini lover. It was a lovely dinner. I have no problem recommending the place, as long as everyone is aware of the aforementioned caveats. There are clearly occasions where these conditions would not be appropriate.
Waiters always take plates before everyone is finished eating. They rush you out.
After having delicious brunch meals at L’Amico twice before, this time I ordered from the lunch menu. The two of us shared two of their pizzas,,,and they were delicious!
For anyone who can’t decide between brunch and lunch on the weekend, try their pizza with smoked salmon. The crust is thin,,,crispy,,,on the well done side (which I personally like). All the toppings, including generous amount of a mild smoked salmon, worked beautifully together!
On the other hand,,,if you’re interested in brunch,,,L’Amico serves the best pancakes in the city!!
The food was delicious and we received our meals fast. I will definitely be visiting again.
L’amico NYC was amazing! Beautiful outdoor atmosphere, service was exceptional and food was outstanding. Look forward to coming back the next time I visit the city !
Great food! Great service
Brunch was creative, food was definitely above average and good, Some pleasant surprise, attention to details, The the filled frangipani bread, is highly recommended. The brunch is high priced, but then most places in New York City are, a Basic glass of wine at $ 16.00 is steep. Brunch for 2 was $ 140.00 Pizza and egg Picante in addition to the bread Including tip and tax. Nice setting and atmosphere.
Scrumptious! The bread (for the table) was delicious! The French Toast not too sweet, soft and crunchy, absolutley delicious. All the egg dishes we tried were wonderful and we all had different favorites. Eat here now!
I had the Seafood Agnolotti -- it was excellent! My husband had the raosted chicken and it was very good as well. I would say the restaurant was about a 3 Start restaurant -- solid Italian. Limited menu, which currently is to be expected. Service was good.
Sidewalk seats undesirable, servers distant and slow, menu limited
Beautiful setting and even more enjoyable fare. If you want an intimate and romantic place to wow a date, this is the spot.
Great food and service, bad drinks. The Bloody Mary was poorly mixed, spicy and the garnish was sad - a wilted sweet pickle and olive, definitely NOT what you’d expect at a place like this. But their French Toast…. it’s a must. Highly recommend.
Good restaurant. Will go back
the food, and drink was excellent well prepared excellent ambiance, the servers were professional, corteous
Great service. Good food and menu
We had brunch and it was overall an excellent experience. Even though we live in Manhattan we had never been to L'Amico, but we will return. It was a quiet restaurant with lovely decor, excellent service, and above all excellent food.
Consistently great brunch food. I love the ricotta pancakes and all of the egg dishes. The pizzas are great as well. This is my go-to spot when I need a good place to eat and drink near Penn Station. Food, service, and ambience are always on-point!
We were here for brunch. Best pancakes we ever had. Excellent attentive service. Nearby street is quite noisy
Good food , great service.. I’m always satisfied when I visit. 👍
It was good but not worth the price. I live in San Francisco and I’m used to expensive but delicious meals. We shared to kale salad, burrata, and cauliflower (meh) and we ordered the veal pasta and mushroom pizza. It was all fine but nothing special. Would not spend the money again. Also, the server didn’t tell us there were any specials and I only learned there were some after we were enjoying our salads and he was telling the patrons at the next table.
Food was good but service bad. Despite having a reservation, parties that arrived after us were seated ahead of us at better tables and they tried to seat us in the bar after a lengthy wait. Overall, disappointing.
Perfect for brunch. Great flavors for a limited menu. Presentation great and not a bad table in the place.
Happy to be back after a year plus, awesome food, good service, will be back!
Overly priced for quality of food. Juice options weren’t even fresh.
Amazing as usual, but disappointed it was my dad birthday and we didn’t get any celebration
A great experience. Super management
Just don’t sit near entrance.. could not get rid of the flies,
Mesmerizing evening here…
I had to wait a bit for my table (not an issue) and the Manager was super nice and apologetic, he even bought us drinks (great gesture).
The food? Crazy good, all the plates were Chef designed and perfectly seasoned.
I highly recommend, probably that is why it’s always full… Good For You!!!
My experience on 6/15 was so relaxing and delicious. I had booked indoor dining, but asked upon arrival if there was any availability last minute, outside. There wasn't, but the hostess and manager were both SO nice about double checking (and honestly, the floor to ceiling window doors made the whole interior feel outside anyway!). The pizza we ordered was delayed due to a MASSIVE order of pizza, but our server came over to explain (which we of course understood!) and let us know we were next up.
Communication all around was fantastic and above and beyond, and my friend and I were made to feel taken care of. Thank you L'Amico!
Have always enjoyed my meals at L’Amico but this time not so much. Pasta was bland and steak luke warm. Service wasn’t great and was served warm wine. Everybody has an off night so will still go back.
We had a wonderful brunch! The waitress was attentive, we felt safe and comfortable, and food was delicious!
Nice atmosphere, good food and quality service. lots of food, take the pancakes home. good for two people
AC was too cold, you have to wear something on. Food was very good
Dishonest service. we asked for tap water with meal. Charged $16 for bottled water when we clearly didn’t ask for it nor receive it. Sneaky excuse to try and charge us extra. I was with someone so didn’t make a scene, but it was dishonest and clearly intentional.
I did not have a pleasant experience at l’amico. My friends and I made reservations there to celebrate a 41st birthday. The hostess told me that indoor dining was not available when it was indeed available. I checked on opentable to see if she was being honest. Unfortunately I found out that the hostess lied and then when I called her out on it, she said that there was an issue with the tablet that displayed the available tables. I’ve come to the conclusion that she didn’t want me sitting inside the restaurant because my friends and I are black and brown men.
Food was absolutely fantastic. We’ve dined here about 10 times before, but this was our 1st post-pandemic visit. & we were super impressed by the quality. Service by our waiter was great. But we had 2pm reservations & by 3pm they were calling ‘last call’ without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. Our original server’s shift was over so that’s not his fault - just a faulty handover. BUT what happened when we left was really awful. Paid our tab, husband walked outside to wait for me while I visited the restroom. On my way out the door the manager (who checked us in & was now sitting at the bar) jumped up & literally accosted me saying ‘the restaurant is CLOSED! ‘. I was only trying to leave. How was I supposed to know that the door we entered through was not the PREFERRED door to leave? He was so unnecessarily aggressive & he startled me & it was embarrassing.
