Chef Laurent Tourondel's newest restaurant, L’Amico, offers an American menu with Italian influences. Seasonal offerings include: crostinis, pizzas, housemade pastas, and gelatos.
The first floor restaurant fuses New York City’s historic Italian culture with the contemporary, featuring two large copper-clad wood fire ovens. An intimate bar allows single diners to enjoy a pleasant meal, while the dining room accommodates parties of all sizes.

The outdoor seating was ample, even for my larger party of 5 and they've made an effort to make tables spread out and as nice as possible in terms of outdoor ambiance. It's still quite loud though between a bustling bike lane and heavy traffic on the ave. Multiple sirens and horns at times made it hard to even talk, especially in the build out section of outdoor seating which is sandwiched between bike lane and street. They do have heat lamps in their built out outdoor seating which is nice, although it's good to note that they're not very strong or effective. The effort there is appreciated there though!
Our server was nice but got a couple different parts of our order mixed up. The crowd feels a little touristy. The food was pretty good across the board. Strengths were meatballs, pizza and skirt steak. The pastas were less inviting and very little on the plate for the price point. Tiramisu and panna cotta were a disappointing way to end the meal.
Overall it's a decent outdoor option for a younger crowd that doesn't mind noise and needs a 5-6 person outdoor table!
Outstanding brunch. The pancakes were amazing and fluffy!
Great Experience with my significant otger
Great service we closed the place down. Food was outstanding as usual
A restaurant that has been on my list for quite some time and completely exceeded my expectations! Cannot wait to return
L'Amico built outdoor seating along 6th Avenue and along 30th Street to accomodate diners during the pandemic; though not elegant, they are quite functional, and provide a barrier between diners and traffic. The food and service were exceptional. I highly recommend L'Amico.
Food was blah and time for food was long considering it was only outdoor dining...
L’Amico was great! Food was delicious and service was friendly. Will definitely be going back.
Pizza was delicious, everything else was very average and over priced for what it was
$20 glass of wine is way off market, and the pricing in general is elevated relative to comparable places
Everything was great. The burrata and fig appetizer was so fresh! Pizzas super tasty.
The new cabana outdoor seating made the dining experience super enjoyable. Service was also good.
Delicious I think wood burning pizza drinks are good and I wish I could sit inside it was so cute
Dinner for my 41st birthday with my partner and closest friend. I loved the intimacy of the outdoor setting with integrated drapery and lighting and the waiter/sommelier was very helpful and personable. I enjoyed the skirt steak, medium rare, with the Valpolicella he recommended. It was easy to forget that we were in the middle of 6th Avenue. I will look forward to dining at L’Amico again
Our waiter Carl was AMAZING! Very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Not to mention the food was amazing as well. I will definitely be back.
Server was very professional and courteous. Cocktail was delicious. Pizza was good but it was Neopolitan style- crispy/charred on outside, soggy/undercooked in the middle. I personally don’t love this style of pizza, but it was still good. Liked the ambience here. I would go back!
Delicious food! Amazing service. Love this place so much!
Overly expensive for B+ food. The meatballs were flavorless. The cappellacci was good but the size of an appetizer, it was literally half the size of the malfadine alla Vongole. Definitely not worth $32 for 13 bites of pasta. It looked like the waiter spilled half of the dish on the way out. It comes in a large bowl when it could fit on a bread plate. If the menu or waiter stated that this was a small dish, we would have made a better choice. The mushroom pizza came completely burned. Disappointed all around. But, the manager offered us a free plate of corn...not kidding.
Great, beautiful outdoor seating. They really made it feel quaint and have the same vibe as the inside. Great high-quality wood fired pizza and service was on top of their game!
Food was average at best. Service was a bit slow. Overall too pricey for what it delivers.
We LOVED our brunch here. Every single dish was so delicious and innovative. Their Covid set-up was also awesome - they transformed a busy street into a gorgeous deck with floating curtains and plants. It felt very luxurious. The only downside is there were a number of interruptions from the outside - a woman stole dishes from a nearby table and walked away, amongst other events.
Delicious and the outdoor dining was great with heaters by the tables!
The food was delicious and the servers were really kind
I didn't like the summer menu, I was used to the old one, which was way better for my taste!
Absolutely amazing food and great service! Highly recommend
The service was amazing.
During pandemic, Poor food ,good service Good location but surroundings leave a lot to be desired.
The mushroom arancini were delicious and more were craved after sharing the five of them. The pizzas were really tasty though they took longer to make than expected. The outdoor setup is beautifully done and well socially distanced. The tiramisu was quite flavorful and sizable. The music can be loud at times if you're sitting om the sidewalk side.
SERVICE WAS GREAT. FOOD AMAZING AND THE DRINKS AS EXPECTED. OVERALL HAD A FANTASTIC TIME
Great time for a birthday dinner
Overall 3.5 starts because of the service. Food is 5 stars. We had the farmer’s pizza and it was delicious! Service felt rushed (I had a feeling they could’ve added a couple more waiters on staff to keep the waiters feeling less pressure). My waiter wasn’t rude but wasn’t friendly, he was okay. I’m thinking it’s his personality... also, I made this reservation saying we were celebrating our anniversary & they didn’t even say happy anniversary or anything like that. I probably won’t come back here, but that was my personal experience!
Outdoor area is amazing!
Their meatball is the best!!! I always order this and is excellent every time. Must try for this restaurant. Service is great but everyone is so busy to take care of you. I say that because the price you pay at this place is not cheap.
So excited to have L'Amico open again. Food is super tasty and the drinks are always good.
Great atmosphere, delicious drinks and food. The outdoor seating set up was very nice and did not feel like you were on the sidewalk of NYC.
I love this place , we love Laurant and the food is amazing !
Love it and would go back In a heart beat
Hats off to the team there giving great food and good service despite all the challenges.
The food was great and the service fantastic! The quality of the food was just as good as it had always been (pre COVID) and the wait staff was so appreciative of us being there. We couldn't decide what wine to get and the waiter brought us two to taste. We really enjoyed our time eating outside (minus a few mosquito bites that the restaurant had no control over) and will definitely be back very soon!
Pipe rigate pizza & white mushroom truffle pizza are great. Drinks are delicious. Service is quick. Happy that we made a reservation and were able to grab an ideal spot for outdoor seating
Very delicious food and comfortable seating. Spacious patio.
