I would definitely be back but service was not what it should have been . Hopefully we will will get a different server next time
Great food and service! Nice decor and overall ambiance! Would recommend for anyone
Excellent ambience. Incredible staff, very attentive and accommodating.
Food was very good, just very limited choices, but everyone found something they liked.
Food was amazing ! Server was nice . Prices are reasonable. We sat outside so it was a little noisy. But the inside is stunning. They have a whole lounge while you wait for a table . 10/10
Hice una reservación por mi cumpleaños. La velada fue muy ruidosa y calurosa. Además la comida no fue nada del otro mundo, escasa y demasiada cara.
Great staff great food especially liked octopus and perky toe crab. Pastas were delish. Tartufo with peanut butter for dessert wonderful
Requested outdoor seating and hostess seated us immediately in a street side shed which had little ambiance. No candles on the table, etc and it was dark already.
Waiters brought us menus and wine sommelier was pleasant and helpful and brought our wine right away. We had to ask several times for our cocktails and waiters were difficult to locate.
Service was extremely slow. Waiters never checked on our table and it took forever to get our appetizers. Yellowtail, grilled octopus & prosciutto were good. Tuna crude completely missed the mark with a weird yogurt sauce that was so strongly flavored it overwhelmed the fish. Dinner went downhill from there. Our waiters completely disappeared and after an hour and a half we still didn’t have dinner. When our main courses finally arrived they were nothing special. Pizza which listed several cheeses with mushrooms barely tasted of cheese and crust was soggy. Pasta with clams ordinary and roasted chicken passable.
We skipped dessert since we had been sitting for too long and had had enough.
Outdoors is interesting to say the least. The food is delicious and service both efficient and friendly.
Definitely not a restaurant it used to be. They let you book the restaurant for 8:30, but they serve food till 9:00 and ask you to leave at 9:30.
The food was average. Skirt steak which used to be amazing was simply awful!
Pizza, meatballs are just outstanding. Food is consistently good
Almost every aspect of our experience at L'Amico was negative. The waiter could not answer basic questions about the menu and misinformed us in a few cases when we asked about food allergens. Both of our starters had to be returned - one included rock-hard, totally unripe peaches and the watermelon salad came out with no watermelon. The replacements were minimally better. Two of three entrees came out cold (I'm guessing no time adjustment was made to account for the delay due to the bad starters and the entrees just sat). The cauliflower side was beyond "charred." Overall, the service was poor - no water, left sitting 20 minutes with the dessert menus, etc. The meal had a fitting end when one person in the party went to use the bathroom and found all the stalls in the ladies' room so disgusting they could not be used. Really unfortunate that the management of this restaurant is so bad.
Everything is delicious which makes it really difficult to narrow down what to order!
Nuestra cena fue afuera en la acera y vimos varias cucarachas. Deberían mejorar el nivel de limpieza en el exterior.
Flavor of all orders was exceptional. Unfortunately the value was not at the same level.
Outdoor dining that is actually great.
Food was delicious. We ordered (1) peekytoe crab toast, (2) prosciutto platter, (3) Long Island corn, and (4) cheese raviolini. The crab and the prosciutto were standouts.
Service was incredibly slow.
Food was really quite good. Service a little harried but probably due to a pre-MSG concert rush.
Branzino was moist and tasty - beautifully plated.
Relaxed but sophisticated. Unique and excellently prepared dishes. Service is perfect. The wine and liqueur lists are interesting, and the maitre d’ knows both. Definitely recommend.
great food, service took a little long
LOVE this place. Such good food, beautiful restaurant & outdoor space and the nicest staff and management. Highly recommend!!!!
Belated birthday celebration.
Always Love the food! Pizza , pastas, and gelato are always delicious!! One of our favorite restaurants in nyc!
Happy too see them busy like pre Covid days.
Food was quite good, was just a little surprised how much char they allowed on my pizza.
Another great meal at L'Amico. I feel the service was great but a bit much. They were on top of our table the whole night.
Pancake was overcooked
Consistently great food, wine and service!
Food was great! The sever was lovely and overall a great evening with our friends who were visiting.
Definitely would recommend!
I loved this place - but like all my other favorites; it suffered after the pandemic. They reconfigured a couple of things on the menu (octopus SALAD was on whole tentacle as opposed to A salad) - my friend ordered ravioli & ravioli was the size of quarters accompanied by tiny cherry tomatoes on his plate - the drinking glasses also had smelled like old standing water/moldy -
While I DON’T mind paying for great food this place has suffered & not worth the heft price . I visited 2 other Italian places during my visit & found them to be more on point.
My friend and I sat outside. The new waitress who was being trained assisted us and she was lovely. Fish was very good and portions were a nice size. The only issue was our outside table was noisy and was where people walked by a lot. But it’s NYC and one has to expect that. Lovely evening overall.
Came here to celebrate our anniversary and was paired with John who was amazing. We also was served by the manager also named John and he was also amazing. The food was perfect and so were the drinks. We will be coming back!
Great place for dinner! The pizzas are AMAZING, especially the mushroom pizza.
Great selection of wines and cocktails and a beautiful ambiance
Just overall felt it was touristy and a chain like restaurant feel. Flavors were odd on every dish. Uses various spices that don’t blend well together. Bread was chewy and olive oil seemed old. One positive was s the pasta was cooked perfectly. I order the veal bolognese and the chicken.
Now having dined there several times (and am perfectly happy about that) I can confirm that it is a VERY noisy restaurant. Table-mates must shout at each other when the place is on full-tilt. I had to ask to hear a description of the nightly specials twice and even then I only got the broad strokes so I had to use my imagination. I can't remember from my dining experiences pre-COVID, but, the menu on July 28 struck me as somewhat limited - although what I ordered was absolutely excellent. No room for dessert, that's how good it was. My two tablemates could not finish their entrees as they found them "too spicy" which strikes me as something that should be made clear in the menu, no? My martini glass looked more like a champagne glass which is somewhat of a disappointment for the real martini lover. It was a lovely dinner. I have no problem recommending the place, as long as everyone is aware of the aforementioned caveats. There are clearly occasions where these conditions would not be appropriate.
Waiters always take plates before everyone is finished eating. They rush you out.
After having delicious brunch meals at L’Amico twice before, this time I ordered from the lunch menu. The two of us shared two of their pizzas,,,and they were delicious!
For anyone who can’t decide between brunch and lunch on the weekend, try their pizza with smoked salmon. The crust is thin,,,crispy,,,on the well done side (which I personally like). All the toppings, including generous amount of a mild smoked salmon, worked beautifully together!
On the other hand,,,if you’re interested in brunch,,,L’Amico serves the best pancakes in the city!!
The food was delicious and we received our meals fast. I will definitely be visiting again.
L’amico NYC was amazing! Beautiful outdoor atmosphere, service was exceptional and food was outstanding. Look forward to coming back the next time I visit the city !
The food is simply too expensive for what it is. It’s overpriced compared to other restaurants. The alcohol and wine is especially wildly over marked
Great food! Great service
