Have always enjoyed my meals at L’Amico but this time not so much. Pasta was bland and steak luke warm. Service wasn’t great and was served warm wine. Everybody has an off night so will still go back.
We had a wonderful brunch! The waitress was attentive, we felt safe and comfortable, and food was delicious!
Nice atmosphere, good food and quality service. lots of food, take the pancakes home. good for two people
AC was too cold, you have to wear something on. Food was very good
Dishonest service. we asked for tap water with meal. Charged $16 for bottled water when we clearly didn’t ask for it nor receive it. Sneaky excuse to try and charge us extra. I was with someone so didn’t make a scene, but it was dishonest and clearly intentional.
I did not have a pleasant experience at l’amico. My friends and I made reservations there to celebrate a 41st birthday. The hostess told me that indoor dining was not available when it was indeed available. I checked on opentable to see if she was being honest. Unfortunately I found out that the hostess lied and then when I called her out on it, she said that there was an issue with the tablet that displayed the available tables. I’ve come to the conclusion that she didn’t want me sitting inside the restaurant because my friends and I are black and brown men.
Food was absolutely fantastic. We’ve dined here about 10 times before, but this was our 1st post-pandemic visit. & we were super impressed by the quality. Service by our waiter was great. But we had 2pm reservations & by 3pm they were calling ‘last call’ without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. Our original server’s shift was over so that’s not his fault - just a faulty handover. BUT what happened when we left was really awful. Paid our tab, husband walked outside to wait for me while I visited the restroom. On my way out the door the manager (who checked us in & was now sitting at the bar) jumped up & literally accosted me saying ‘the restaurant is CLOSED! ‘. I was only trying to leave. How was I supposed to know that the door we entered through was not the PREFERRED door to leave? He was so unnecessarily aggressive & he startled me & it was embarrassing.
This is hands down my favorite restaurant in NYC... from brunch to dinner, the food is top notch. Ingredients are always fresh, service is always delightful, and the ambiance is pleasant too. Would take my parents, best friends, everyone to L’Amico. Also Alex, the bartender, is awesome!!! Here are some photos from brunch :)
Perfect experience, good food , very different from a usual American brunch , service was great , the hostess even accommodated our request and moved us indoor as my friend was pregnant and she couldn’t tolerate the heat outdoors .
Overall we had a great experience.
Always love it here. It felt like before the pandemic. I’ve missed this place. Brunch was delicious. It was great to see friends that we haven’t seen in over a year. This was the perfect place to meet
My waiters name was Christian last night! He recommended an amazing white wine from Italy and the special! He had long hair and was very sweet! Thank you Christian!
The branzino was AMAZING! So happy this restaurant survived.
What a bright spot on a dreary afternoon!!! Some friends and I decided to run out for brunch in the rain. The meal was incredible- as were the drinks. We feasted on endive salad, whipped ricotta and warm bread, branzino, pizza, and lemon ricotta pancakes! Our waiter was spectacular- and the whole experience remarkable! I highly recommend!
It’s a great experience! Pizza is absolutely amazing!
When traveling to NY
this is a must stop in to enjoy the wonderful staff from the very start. From the host to the wait staff. The food flavorful & the pizza Mushroom truffle - out of this world, seafood Angottle sauce to protection. My husband & I was seated outside - great atmosphere!! Must visit!!
Excellent as always! Great food, great service, and great ambiance.
We went on a Sunday, midday for brunch. The food was very good and well-presented. The service was a bit slow and at times, we could not find our waitstaff. The noise level was low and very conducive for conversation.
Food was amazing!
The waitstaff were all very nice and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere too! Highly recommend the yellowtail crudo and the mushroom truffle pizza.
Food is excellent but drinks are exceptionally small for the money.
Sat outside which has a great setup but due to no fault of their own was an extremely warm evening and we could have used fans.
Will definitely be back.
You cant go wrong with the wood oven baked eggs for brunch. This is a place with great coffee and decadent pancakes. A must try
great service, could pay attention to details like serving platters/cutlery
great food, flavors, could use vegetarian options
Everything was excellent
This was my first time dining at L'Amico, but it definitely won't be my last. Everything was outstanding--the food, the service, the ambiance. I had been told the roast chicken was not to be missed (and it wasn't), but the same could have been said of everything our group ordered, from appetizers through desserts.
Mushroom truffle pizza is a MUST. All choices were delicious and well prepared.
Very kind staff, lovely food, an awesome patio area
A trifecta: great food, great setting, great service..special thanks to Carl-he was delightful and helpful and accommodating..
Great octopus and yellowtail starters. Good service and atmosphere.
Love the new covid friendly look outside. Our food and service was amazing. Will definitely return
Scrumptious food and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
We seated pretty quickly and our server was very attentive. The food came out fasted than we expected but the taste was out of this world. I thought the portions were generous but it was a bit pricey. I would definitely return though.
excellent!!!! Was very good and the food presentation and taste was super!
Place is also beautiful
Food with amazing flavor. Wish there were more fish choices for entrees. Brazino is so yesterday.
The food was incredible!
I had an indoor reservation and the hostess tried to sit me half outside on a cold, windy night and then inside, the service wasn’t very good and the pizza we ordered wasn’t great either
I was surprised, because my only other time at this place was a very positive experience and that’s why I returned
Food was very average. My fresh pressed juice was from a pre-packaged bottle. The service was also very slow.
We hosted our friend’s 50th birthday dinner and the food was divine. The drinks were flowing, the server Carl was awesome and funny. We ordered several items and every single one was delicious!
Amazing food with excellent attention to our needs. Will be going back again in the near future!!!!
Very good food in flavor, but little portions.
Delicious food and nice space. Neighborhood is a little weird though
