Fancy barbecue is a polarizing concept, but Lamberts pulls it off very well.
Disappointing. Some of the pork ribs were inedible. Pulled pork had hunks of slimy fat! Service was bad. Were we interrupting their day?
Terrific charcuterie appetizer!
Brisket was very good. Short rib and pulled pork was not as good as I expect, but not bad.
Loved it! Outstanding
Waited 20 minutes for our table that we had reservation for (with young kids). If restaurants who take reservations are not comfortable telling patrons that they need a table by x time for a reservation then they shouldn't accept reservations in first place. Very very frustrating experience to stand with two young kids while previous table stood chatting around a table and hostess watched without asking for table back.
Food average, expensive for what it was.
Amazing place to eat
Food was so yummy-ordered beef rib, sausage, brisket, brussel sprouts, potatoes, boar ribs. All were spectacular! Beef rib was like butter! Even potato dish was fantastically tasty! Server was outstanding! The noise level was so loud I found myself shouting across table-lol! I will definitely go back next time I’m in town! Thank you Lambert’s!!!!
I loved taking my husband for his birthday to Lamberts. It was such a great experience we will be coming back more often for sure. Everyone was great and accommodating!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We had a wonderful time. The food was great as was the service. Really appreciated the restaurant’s atmosphere.
Following dinner, we went upstairs to listen to the live music.
We had a lot of fun. Great place to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
Outstanding experience, great servers and excellent BBQ! The brisket is amazing, both kinds. Will definitely return!
Everything was delicious. My favorite musts we're Mac & Cheese and queso. Live music makes visit very special
Not worth it at all.
Brisket was very dry. Pulled pork was no big deal. Disappointed.
This was our last day of a long weekend visit to Austin. We were seated at the bar as we waited for a table on the patio. The bartender was very helpful and made a great Bloody Mary. Nice and spicy like she likes it. The lunch of pulled pork was the best I ever had and I am a pulled pork snob. Absolutely would go back when we are back in town.
I had the cold smoked qual. It was a unique dish and did not disappoint. I would recommend it to someone looking for something besides the typical BBQ fare found in so many Austin restaurants.
The place looks nice. I was able to get a 5pm reservation on a Saturday 3 hours before during SXSW weekend. Staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was not great. I ordered baby back ribs special and they tasted like Chili's. Also portions were small. Only got 6 small ribs. My fried pickle side was more than the ribs. Also ordered the creamed corn. Very disappointing since all I could taste was onion. However very impressive that Lamberts made corn taste exactly like onion. I'm hoping other things would taste fine here. If you want bbq, go elsewhere.
We went to Lambert’s for my dad’s 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time. We ordered the ribeye and it was worth every penny. Was so tender and melted in your mouth. We also loved the crispy boar ribs.
Very nice experience!! We loved the food!! Graet service!
Great food and the perfect ending to our week in Austin.
Take a friend and split an entree as the portions are generous. My husband and I split the crab & fried green tomoato salad, the short rib, Brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese. We couldn’t finish what we ordered but I’m happy we chose the selection we did because it was SO SO good.
Thanks Brie for your friendly service. You made our evening all the more special!
Lambert’s will be our first stop the next time we’re back in Austin!
The Boar's ribs are absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the trip and we will be going back again! We also got the Cuban sandwich with Mac n cheese which were really good.
Overrated. Make the drive out to Driftwood for Salt Lick for some awesome BBQ! Man and cheese has goose cheese in it. Not good.
Great food and music
The food didn't wow us like we thought it would. Servings are small and pricey. Table service was extremely slow. Our food arrived before bar drinks.
Someone in the kitchen is over salting all the dishes. From the sides to the meat to the deviled eggs. All over salted by a heavy hand in the back of house.
Brisket was dry. Food took 35 minutes at lunch time. Definitely are better alternatives in the area.
Absolutely terrible/horrible service for Saturday brunch. Took 2 hours to get our food after ordering. Waitress was also very inattentive throughout the ENTIRE experience. Coffee was cold... took 20 minutes to get a hot refill. Future refills of coffee took 30 minutes in between each refill. Lambert’s might have the worst service in Austin. We will not be back.
Excellent gourmet BBQ - Yum! Texas BBQ taken to a fancier level!
Great waitress and food is out of this world
Loved it-exactly what we were looking for in Texas BBQ.
One of the best meals ever!
Amazing food consistently!!! Must go for visitors or locals!
Had a reservation on Sunday. I am from out of town and found this place from reading reviews online. Came for the barbecue which was ok. It's like upscale if you call it. Regular barbecue on a square plate which is overpriced. I recommend the brisket. My mix sour drink was blah. If you don't like spicy food don't get the devil eggs or the mac n' cheese. They seated us upstairs in a little two seat table by the stage. Another two seat table was right next to us which made it uncomfortable like no privacy. Another couple got seated there after we got seated and ended up leaving not ordering anything. I didn't think they were comfortable also. I really wanted to love it but I don't think I will be returning next time I am in town.
Tasty bbq place. Boar’s Ribs appetizer was great! Good cocktail menu, too.
Visiting from out of town brisket was good, lean and not dry. The waitress upsold my husband on recommending the 2 most expensive dishes on the menu. He had beef short ribs-wished he had the brisket. There are plenty of other BBQ places in Austin
The smoked trout was tasteless and the jalapeno tomato sauce that accompanied it was overpowering, as were in the olives in the quinoa. Best to stick with the brisket!
Excellent meal and service. Would definitely visit again.
Seems to be good but closed right when we got there. I think is worth to try
The flavors are amazing!
Farm to table foodie BBQ. We had the brisket and pork ribs and these meats were first rate and perfectly prepared. Exceptional. Great sides and salads too - the heirloom carrots and also the fried green tomato dishes were especially good.
Great beer list too.
It’s not cheap but a truly great dining experience. New school but a respectful and inventive refinement on the best Texas meat traditions.
