A more upscale barbecue experience than many others in Austin, and at a more upscale price. Brisket was great. So were the pork ribs. The house oak aged Old Fashioned was outstanding and is worth a visit alone. Service was outstanding. It's nice having great barbecue in a table service setting for a change.
Love Lamberts! First time for lunch. The Chicken Fried Oysters rocked and the Beef Brisket was brilliant as usual!
Disappointed this trip to Lambert’s. Their wild boar short ribs were fantastic but everything thing else was sub-par. The brisket was flavorful but served Luke warm to cold, the ribeye was okay but not worth $47, it was too fatty and chewy, not melt in your mouth tender like the waiter described and the brussel sprouts were not cooked nearly enough.
Great restaurant with great service. We had twelve people and never had wait for a drink. Food was outstanding.
Enjoyed the brunch buffet on a Sunday. The spread was diverse and everything tasted great. It was also cool that they had a long list of small plates also included as part of the brunch. Highly recommend.
The ambiance and service was great, but the food was lacking, especially for the price. The pulled pork was cold and dry, and the mac n' cheese was made with this weird mushy cheese... we were disappointed.
Nice casual vibe. Our waitress was quite attentive. Food was good and we will be back.
Very nice BBQ, delicious beers and nice staffs!
And I could make friends!
Very good all round, excellent in areas. We would expect at least one GF dessert, rather than just vanilla ice cream. However, the salad, foie gras and mains (BBQ) were all spot on.
way too much food...
good drinks...friendly service...1 side to share with 2 people is plenty
Great hostess !! We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than our scheduled reservation and the hostess was extremely pleasant and helpful. She accommodated is with a smile.
Staff was fabulous and friendly, but the bbq was disappointing. We ordered the 3 meat plate and two of the three meats were dry. Pork rib was great but the brisket was dry and the chicken was bland and dry. Restaurant is in a beautiful historic building and service was wonderful.
Delicious food with excellent service in a very creative reuse of space.
Great except too cold in restaurant!
We absolutely loved Lambert’s!
Food was so delicious and our server was so attentive and friendly ( everyone there was!)
We loved dining outside under the misters..thank you for a great Evening!
Delicious BBQ. Service was quick and attentive to all our needs. Outstanding Sides. Will return soon!
Awesome for a romantic night out or a business dinner. Highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I went here for a quick lunch before bar hopping in downtown Austin. We were visiting from Los Angeles and everything was perfect - from the portions of meat and delectable side dishes to the appetizer of a full bowl of queso before we dug into our ribs & beef brisket. Highly recommend!!!
Great food, large portions
Our server Jacob was phenomenal and very attentive. We had the lamb ribs as an app, and my girlfriend and I both opted for the brisket with macaroni and cheese and brussel sprouts. The food was truly phenomenal. Next time we’re in Austin, we’ll be stopping back!
Slightly above average bbq. A bit over priced.
flavor of meat was good, sauce was very tangy. Would prefer leaner brisket (asked for extra lean, but there was fat on it).
It might have just been one of those days but while the pork rib was very good, the brisket was a little tough and did not have much taste.
We were excited to visit for our second time, after having a great experience a year and a half ago. The fried oysters were delicious and the sides we ordered, waffle fries and brussel sprouts, were also very good. Our server was attentive and quick. However, we will not be returning because it seems they changed their BBQ recipe from when we were last there. The brisket was SO dry and the pork ribs were dry and not moist at all. We were so disappointed.
Great location- close to Austin City limits! Bbq pork was good but homemade bread and butter pickles to to spicy!
Food was very good, but in the dining room there was an overwhelming smell of smoke....I smelled like a brisket the whole afternoon.
GET. THE. BRISKET! Interesting modern spin on BBQ classics. The Bourbon menu could be better, but food was great. I would like to see them have a multiple-meat combo plate, but just my preference.
Great food and service
Went for my birthday, was fun surprise to see there was a live band upstairs. Food was absolutely outstanding per usual.
The restaurant was packed that night. Very lively ambiance especially with a band playing that night. We started our dinner with wild boar ribs and it was fantastic! Everything was good but I am convinced to go back just for the ribs.
Amazing lunch. Fantastic service. Took my open table request and we had a booth where we could sit next to each other. Amazing. 5 stars all around.
This was my first time at Lambert. I was watching TV show and they mentioned the restaurant's name. We were 4 of us. As soon as we arrived the waiter brought us mini biscuits with jam and butter. We ordered food breakfast platter and sandwich breakfast. He got mixed up. Came back and got the order fixed. Our friend asked for another set of biscuits.
The food arrived. It looked nice and tasted good. We asked for the check. The waiter got confused again. He had to redo the checks. We were surprised when he said the biscuits were not courtesy of the house. He should have mentioned that . That's why they 4 stars and not 5
I love that the bartenders always remember how to make a south side!
I would go back! Outstanding bbq is a thing of mythology; it sets a high bar. Get the deviled eggs - delicious!
I would have loved some live music. But it was perfect for Sunday brunch.
One of the best BBQ places in town. We went to the place with high expectations and Lambert's lived up to our expectations. No waiting inline with OpenTable. We were seated right away and the server explained the simple menu. Since there was no live music on Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was relatively quiet. Will definitely return in the future.
The food was overpriced and pretentious. The Mac and cheese was horrible. There was a disgusting cheese within the Mac and cheese; very off putting. The chicken was okay. The portions were very small. Probably the best thing on the menu are the waffle fries. Overrated at best!
Booked in advance so we could get a table to see the band, however on arriving found restaurant is split over 2 floors with the band playing on the top floor. the lower floor where we were seated could not see or barely hear the band. This needs to be made clear when booking as we would not have booked had we known that we could not see the band.
