Excellent Barbecue with great service! You guys rock!
Great food and service! Good wine too!
Very good meal ……………………………………………….
We went for brunch and were not impressed with the brunch menu. My chiliquilles came with one egg, and about 50 chips. More substance to the dish would have been appropriate- just one more egg, or an add on of chopped brisket, something! The salads that our daughters ordered were relatively small, more like a side salad or appetizer course. The burger my husband ordered was delicious though! The bloody Mary’s were appropriately spicy. I wish there was some live music to add to the atmosphere. I used to love the brunch buffet, but without that option we won’t go back for brunch again.
We had a reservation for a birthday. We were seated promptly, but the table was kind of a active spot by the bar & entrance. It’s not a quite eating spot. Food was delicious & served quickly. Staff did their best, it’s definitely crazy times.
Super disappointed in our selection of restaurants after a college football game. How is a bbq place in Texas not ready to serve brisket at 5:30 and the excuse is it's not ready to turn over - what does that even mean? I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs and the amount of pepper was overwhelming.
Just not a good experience!
Food was delicious and absolutely worth the price. This is definitely a place I’d make sure to visit on my next trip to Austin.
Great upscale barbecue! Loved the pork rib appetizer.
Great service! Matt and Stephanie were wonderful. Hearing the live music from upstairs on the outdoor patio was an amazing plus! We love Lamberts!!
Our waitress completely ignored us. It was unusual.
Place was packed and the nice servers were a little overwhelmed but managed as well as possible! Food was very good, brisket was a little bit fatty, however that’s what makes it tasty…
This place is pricey but worth it. Great location, Texan-approved brisket, trio of homemade sauces and excellent bar + service. My wife and I visit here every time we are in Downtown Austin.
great food & the service was good. the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk. we asked them to turn it down 3 times before they finally did. that was a little frustrating. then people filled the room and it got loud again because of that. there’s nothing in there to absorb sounds. it’s gonna be loud when it’s crowded. i get that. but the music was ridiculous. i’ll go back but not for lunch with family.
The brisket was dried out and the sauce not flavorful. Strongly recommend Stubbs or Franklin’s. I’ll never go back. When I told the waiter the brisket was bad he laughed and did nothing. Neither me or my customer could eat it.
Excellent bbq! Great service
Dined on outside patio. Cornbread muffins were delectable free starter. I order the chopped salad with smoked chicken. The lemon vinaigrette was very sour and overpowering which is the reason I did not give the food rating 5*. Everything was was delicious with special touches. All in all, wonderful ambience and good service.
I am normally really impressed with the food at Lambert’s and take out of towners here often. However, I was underwhelmed with the food this time … queso got hard quickly, the sausage was not as tasty, and only three desserts to choose from (where is the banana pudding or chocolate cream pie). The service was outstanding and I will come back … just thinking it was an off day.
I'm still full. As always, a classic and delicious dining experience.
Good food but the entrees and drink prices were overpriced.
Had a nice dinner, both the appetizer and entrees were very good! Had to wait for a table despite reservation because we decided a table outside was preferred. The bartender was helpful and served me an excellent drink. Only problem was that a “leisurely” dinner look less than an hour. As we are from out of town we expected to relax over dinner far longer. The entrees arrived very shortly after the appetizer. Because we ate in a rushed manner there was no room for dessert/coffee. We didn’t understand the rush because there wasn’t a crowd waiting. However I would probably eat here again beyond the quality of the food!
The noise level in the lower floor makes it impossible to interact with anyone. From the other reviews I understand it is worse upstairs. I guess The reason is too many people in there. I can imagine that they might have been hurt during the pandemic. But packing people like cattle is not the way to recover from it. A real disappointed for a place this good (and for such very high price).
Delicious and fresh
Gorgeous spot with an endlessly delicious menu. Will be back!
Pour service. Long time to take our order of meal after sitting. Again server didn’t come to take our desert order and we gave up. I regret I picked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner. Out Server had a beautiful long hair but she should tie her hair. Food was salty.
The ambiance is incredible, it’s warm and inviting. The cocktails are delicious, but the food is outstanding! I recommend the quest with burnt ends appetizer. The Bar upstairs is something out of a movie.
Mac and cheese and short ribs. WOW!!
Order was messed up multiple times.
To be honest. The food was decent but plain. The boar ribs and broccoli stood out. The clams barbecued were absolute rubber if not for the VERY delicious broth and two thick pieces of the finest Texas toast ever that really was the only thing that blew me away. My fiancée left for ten minutes to use the bathroom, and suddenly the server became so attentive it was beyond belief. We wanted to order more drinks and food, he was nowhere to be found in a very slow restaurant. She left and he was on me every two minutes about checks and boxes and plates and etc. this place has great bbq sauce and some fabulous cornbread. But alienating and inattentive service
Great service, band playing, drinks were delicious! We had boar ribs, 3 meat plate with extra brisket (so we can share) that came with sausage, brisket, and ribs. All of the meat selections were so good, moist, full of flavor! For side we had greens and mac, the greens were delicious and tasted very fresh not at all soggy and full of flavor, the Mac was perfection. We have raspberry vodka drink and an old fashion... Both made perfectly and yummy! Several seating options, indoor, outdoor, upstairs... Overall we enjoyed the space, the food and drinks, and great attentive service!
Lambert's is in a well restored historical building, food is solid/consistent and ambiance traditional. Celebrated son's 18th birthday seated in the upstairs area of restaurant (for quieter space; noise level is on the moderate to high end given the concrete brick, wood interior). Good restaurant to take a colleague from out of town.
Great food, service and live music. Everyone was friendly.
Sasha was the best server ever! So sweet and kind!
Delicious meal with my family! Would definitely return… food was yummy, patio was spacious & comfortable and staff was very helpful & friendly.
best brisket and mac n cheese We ever had. Server was super nice.
Everything was delicious, great ambiance highly recommend.
Great food and great service.
Great food and service (as usual), this is always a staple as it is walking distance to everything downtown.
The food was incredible. Ambiance superb. Such a great vibe. Amazing and authentic TX BBQ in an elevated and classy setting. Perfect for entertaining out-of-town guests.
Great food and service, but if you want to talk during the meal, it is a bit loud. And tables are close together.
