Server was great and food and drinks were amazing!
They were out of brisket, the ribs had to much pepper, and the macaroni and cheese had a kick to it. Would not recommend this restaurant.
The food and service was excellent!! This is a must place to visit while visiting Austin!
Had a wonderful and super tasty 19th anniversary dinner. The fried green tomato and lump crab salad is a MUST.
The food here was excellent and the staff was professional and knowledgeable. They had a very expansive whiskey list and the ambiance was warm, almost romantic. I was only visiting Austin but would love to come back next time I'm in town.
We made reservations for New Year’s Eve. They accommodated us even after we were a bit late. The staff was extremely friendly and professional.
The food however was the winner of the night, most specifically the brisket. I will go there again. In fact anybody that comes to visit me in Austin and wants to try BBQ, I’m bringing them to Lamberts!
Great food. Great atmosphere
Lambert’s was fantastic. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful dinner!
Live music can be a bit too loud for downstairs dining. But the most disappointing aspect of the evening was the discontinuation of the banana pudding dessert. When I learned it was gone, I asked for check and went to get dessert somewhere else. Don’t get me wrong, your plates BBQ is probably the best downtown, but dumping the banana pudding was a let down. I bring family and many business there for that banana pudding. Outside of that there are other places I can go to show them Austin. Coconut cream pie and chocolate ganache in a BBQ place is not a substitute for banana pudding. Of note your staff even says that everyone complains or is shocked by its discontinuation.
Such a great dinner and atmosphere! Will come back every time we visit Austin.
Lambert's is always a great experience and meal. It's definitely a go-to for me and anytime I have out of town guests and want to give them a great Austin experience. The Beef Short Rib is always a must, along with the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer. The Ribeye is absolutely delicious and cocktails are always spot on. Definitely an Austin landmark and one to enjoy whenever possible!
Great food and great service as always!
Wonderful experience as always. Absolutely loved the ceviche
Always a great meal!
In town for a few nights, perfect choice!
Great little place downtown.
I had:
ANGUS BEEF HANGER STEAK* 34
CHOLULA BUTTER, AVOCADO SALSA VERDE
BROILED JALAPEÑO & CHEDDAR RELLENO
And it was awesome!
Great ambience and atmosphere! Food was delicious!!
Great Birthday Dinner with Friends and Family. Food has incredible tastes and flavors and staff was friendly moment we walked in through the door.
Great experience, as always. Indoor seating was well arranged.
Enjoyed the diverse menu. Lovely ambiance. We enjoyed it.
Never disappointed. Boar ribs are the best!! Also, the smoked clams were unbelievable.
Best ribeye we’ve ever had and such a fun waiter!
Lambert’s is hands down best restaurant downtown. Food is amazing, drinks are delicious and service is excellent. Live music upstairs is always great too.
Reduced menu. My old favorites missing. Food was just OK
Pricey as all oddowntownAustin is, but delicious. Cool historic building & great patio. Queso with brisket as an app is a must!
Wagging brisket was incredible!
Service was great. We were able to sit outside in the shade with good social distancing. Their brisket frito pie is amazing and we get it every time we come to Austin. Cocktails were tasty as well. We will be back.
Spicy. Everything was spicy, I guess that’s Texas BBQ, but not #MyBBQ. Service was great and food was overall great and I love all the whiskey cocktails.
Lambert’s had a cool vibe but the food was a bit too spicy for me. The broccoli came with jalapeños on top and the ribs were yummy but too peppery/spicy and even my friend who enjoys that kind of food said it was too much for her.
Amazing food, amazing service. Our server Bryan was the super friendly and recommended great food and drink options.
The food was just average and expensive for what we got. Also, the music was so loud we couldn't hear the waiter nor could we have a conversation at our table. We asked twice that they turn down the volume and the manager told us it was (in a very irritated voice) but it never seemed softer to us. Certainly not so we could easily speak to each other. Overall not a very satisfying experience.
Since Covid there menu and food quality have been reduced. The waiter seemed really unfamiliar with the menu offering or how to describe them.
excellent place for BBQ in downtown, totally recommend the wild boar ribs!
Solid, solid barbeque.
Sunday Frito-pie will cure what ails you! Superbe service.
music a bit too loud for dinner. speakers blaring over top of table
Very sweet vibes. The lightening set the mood.
We love this place, and will come every chance we get. Every item on the menu was sublime. We can for brunch but will be back for MLB night on Thursdays.
The hanger steak eggs Benedict was excellent with a delicious sauce and the steak cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly.
There are some really innovative drinks and even excellent desserts, I recommended a banana cream pudding and the strawberry fried pie.
Food was just ok, nothing special
This is a great place to eat. With fantastic service. Please give it a try!
P.S. It will be on the expensive side.
This was a great place to both have a business meeting and the catch up with old friends. The food was great, but the service was amazing. Thank you for making the evening special.
