Fun restaurant. Food was unique and tasty.
Delicious fusion of flavors!
Even with a reservation they tried to seat us beside the front door in a half as# table. Had to request a move so they sat us next to the restroom. Lights were flickering, was kind of like a crack house. Food was good though....
Delicious and unique entrees, including a good gluten-free selection but not a good dessert selection.
Food was good. However the service and dinning experience was lacking. We were greeted at the door with “How’s it hanging?”. There was only one waitress for the entire dinning room and we had very little attention. The dinning room was a little dirty and a couple employees were “wrestling” and making a lot of noise. It was disappointing because the food was good. Not going back.
It was delicious, as always!
Excellent food! If you want to eat something different and local this is the right place.
Great food, great service and fun meal. Restaurant is a little loud with the music but meal was great and will definitely be back.
First visit. Great food.
The food was delicious! It was very busy and even with a reservation we were told it would be a 45min wait for a table. They were able to find something and keep our reservation but this was the only complaint I have.
Unfortunately, I'm hesitant to say I would recommend. The food was great. Unfortunately, we were pretty much pushed out of the restaurant by our server. I wouldn't solely blame her b/c it was busy and she was probably instructed to flip the table as quickly as possible - I get it, it was a Saturday night. But it didn't feel good when we felt forced to order - we asked to browse and she said it would probably be better to order now, when one of my friends asked for another drink her first it was swiped off the table when it was only halfway finished, we never got our two orders of rice and beans with our tacos and then to top it off, we were ready to order more drinks, but our check was brought to our table inquiring that they would like us to be done and pay. Empathetic to wanting you all to get as many customers as in as possible, but please understand that put quite a damper on our experience, to the point where I don't know if I will be returning.
Great food. Would go again.
My husband and I love Lalo!! They were very busy so the wait was a little longer than usual, but the service was great.
Server was very nice and Accommodating to a couple small requests (checking in on “no onion” option and reheating cheese dip). Was right on top of keeping drinks refilled and getting table cleared quickly. Food was good, came out a little slow but the server was aware and addressed it which was nice. Second time I’ve been in, plan to return again.
Great place to stop and eat. Service was excellent, food was bountiful and very good, and we could easily talk to each other as the noise level was low.
Amazing food and atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend
Food was great. We planned our family dinner at Christmas Eve and it worked out perfectly
There is a challenge with the odor in the restaurant from either a damp issue or cleaning solutions or both. All 4 people in our group were overwhelmed by this, and it almost caused us to leave the immediately. Once the food comes this helps overcome the issue. The food is excellent.
We had the burrito and it was not hot. Should have sent it back for nuking.
a little messy....we followed the lunch crowd and would have preferred cleaner floor
Good was good. Service was slower than our first visit. Had to rush eating as we had tickets to a show. Was seated near front door which was propped open causing a large cold draft.
Soup was great. The door was partially open so it was a little cool near the front windows.
Not what I expected. We waited a bit before anyone acknowledged us, when we were seated, it too some time just to get water. The food looked good on the menu, however, they were out of several of the items we wanted. Our apps weren't very good and our drinks weren't worth the cost. Sadly we won't return. Great concept but poor execution.
They were very gracious, even though we were 15 minutes late. The food was delicious and brought together twists to authentic cultures.
Food is always over the top!!!
Food was great as usual.
Great food! Excellent service.
This is one of my favorite downtown restaurants. $2 for taco’s during taco week and they were delicious.
We had previously had a great meal at LaLo, but on this occasion, we were there for nearly 2 hours before we got our food. It was highly disappointing, several of the meals came wrong, and we were only given a small amount off of our check with no incentive to return.
Family oriented, delicious food, quick service and great atmosphere
I always love the food when I go to Lalo!! This time, the food was still really good, however, the service was beyond slow. It took almost 50 minutes to get our order and some of the food was cold. Our server was very friendly. They may have just been super backed up.. I’ll still go back!
LOVED this spot. Been meaning to try it for awhile. The tacos were outstanding -- especially the drunken brisket, chicken curry, and al pastor! The service was a bit off the night I went, it seemed to be unexpectedly busy due to concert at the Arinoff. However, the staff was apologetic and as accommodating as possible. Will definitely be returning!
They were under-staffed and overwhelmed. Two servers and one bartender. Food is great.
The service was fine, we had a reservation and were seated immediately. The food was awful. The chips were greasy, the salsa was salty but had no other flavor. This made them inedible for us. The tacos I got were soupy and flavorless. The dish my partner got was full of fat and gristle despite costing $19. My margarita tasted like straight sour mix. Overall extremely disappointing.
Truly great local place. The fusion combinations are well thought out and very good. We will be back Very Soon.
This was my third time in Lalo Chino-Latino. The food always is delicious and service good. No complains.
We got to the restaurant and they had put up a sign they were closed for emergency renovations, but never told us. So we ended up standing in the rain trying to find another location for our business dinner with no notice.
I like this place. My favorite dish is empanadas. It's not the fanciest place in town, but the food is excellent and the service is very welcoming.
Been wanting to try this place for a couple months. Went on a Saturday night with my wife and 3 boys (8, 11, and 11). Ordered 2 salsas, guacamole, queso fundido with chorizo to start. Salsas awesome, guac awesome, queso fundido was a little bland. Fresh made chips were amazing. We had a mix of tacos, burrito, and Mexi pad thai. Food was tremendous, strongly recommend carnita, brisket n fish tacos as well as pad thai. Our waitress, Sierra, guided us through the options and did a womdeful job. Next time Im trying a bowl. The place looks great inside and much better than you might guess from the outside. Fun casual night, good for friends, dates and even families. Will be back.
