L'Albatros

My husband and I went on our honeymoon! The wait staff was so kind and even brought us champagne (and ginger ale for my husband since he doesn’t drink). It was such a special way to kick off our marriage, and the food was incredible.

We consistently have wonderful experiences at L'Albatros - we used to reserve it for special occasions, but now we come just for drinks and snacks as well. We brought our parents while they were in town, and they were thrilled with everything from the beautiful patio to the escargots (SO delicious) to the outstanding service. We truly appreciate all the extra care and precautions during the pandemic.

Stumbled upon Cleveland’s cultural hub while dining at this wonderful French Bar and Brasserie. We ate out on the patio and really enjoyed the ambiance. Great food and our waiter Tyler was awesome.

Outstanding and Covid safe! We entered with masks, temperature was taken and menu uploaded to phone. We sat outside, bread brought out in darling brown bag and masked waiter was timely and efficient. We ordered, food piping hot, (no heat lamps here !),and everything perfect. Tables very far apart. I checked out inside tables and spacing is outstanding. Bravo to Zak Bruell and staff for making us feel safe while still being able to serve the perfect patio dining. The manager( I think) stopped by to check several times and the food runner was polite and I was able to see smiling eyes, although masked. We will be back sooner then later!! Thank you!.

Everyone did a great job go ensure customers were comfortable with new covid regulations. It was a stress free experience!

Our server was delightful—friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and fun. The cheese server helped us pick great cheeses for us, and our food was terrific. We had the trout and the pasta special—vegetables in a perfect Parmesan broth. Also, the restaurant was very well equipped for social distancing and masks, which we appreciated. We can’t wait to visit Cleveland again for another fine dinner here.

L"Albatros is consistently excellent. The food. The ambience. The service. and they have partnered with the Cleveland clinic to provide a safe and healthful dining experience. This matters to us, and we felt very comfortable dining there. We highly recommend l'Albatros.

Everything was perfect. Especially the touch less menus. Zach sure knows how to do it!!

It was wonderful to be back, twice in the last two weeks. The patio was relaxing and the whole experience was safe. They have taken a lot of trouble and spent a lot of thinking on making the restaurant safe. One of the worst features of the "stay at home" order (or way of life) is that we could not go there every week as we have for the last five years.

We ate at the bar, bartender (Jackson) was terrific, responsive, knowledgeable and attentive. Food and drinks were excellent, enjoyed the outdoor dining experience. One of our favorite dinner spots.

Our waiter was fantastic and went above and beyond our expectations given our dietary restrictions. Also enabled us to switch seats when the lighting bugs had it for us at our table. 😅 We will be returning the next time we are in Cleveland again.

Excellent restaurant in all respect. We had the cod and trout entrees. Great flavors. Julian helped us select a perfect wine and provided great conversation. Five stars in all respects!

They did a great job addressing COVID concerns (using qr for mobile menus, taking temps, requiring masks until you sat to dine, etc). The atmosphere in the courtyard seating area couldn’t be beat. The food was amazing. My companion is a precessions chef and was amazed by the meal. Very complimentary. You never disappoint.

I hadn’t been to a restaurant since March, but we recently went to L’Albatross for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. I wanted to support them, because through social media I could tell they’re taking things seriously. We had to wear a mask to enter until we sat down. The hostess was so nice and appropriate explaining she would take our temperature and how to use the touchless menus. All staff was masked. They sat us outside as requested. We were far enough apart from other guests. The food was delicious (smoked salmon appetizer was 🤯). I appreciated the experience so much and would 10/10 recommend during these strange times.

One of my favorites. Never had a bad experience at any Bruell restaurant but L'Albatross is definitely the best. Food was excellent. Ambiance was excellent. Patio was beautiful. The servers were all CoVid conscious and everything was done right. Have been many times. Would go back tomorrow. Thank you for a wonderful night out especially in these trying times.

As always, the cuisine and cocktails were excellent. Greg, Kate, and company did a fantastic job with service. In this crazy world we all now live in, L’Albatros is a very comforting and enjoyable place to be.

As always the food was amazing, the atmosphere extremely pleasant, and the service outstanding! We had a great experience!!!

The staff did an excellent job creating a safe and comfortable dining experience. All patrons were wearing masks before being seated and temperatures were taken when we arrived which made us all feel safety was being taken seriously. Tables on the patio were very far apart and staff wore masks always. Touch-less menus, which you access via a QRC code on your smartphone, were great (and probably should be the norm even without a pandemic). Wonderful food and service as always. Thank you!!!

L’Albatros have done a great job making appropriate changes to care for their staff and guests during this difficult time of pandemic precautions. Sitting out on the patio was wonderful with tables socially distanced and the menu on our phone app. The ambience was lovely with lights and soft music. Our server was excellent and as always, the food delicious. Well done, L’Albatros !

Recently dined here while in Cleveland. Do not miss out on this restaurant! The food is outstanding and unique. Definitely try the cheese board... fantastic presentation! Relaxed atmosphere and exceptional service. We will be back!

First time out after COVID19 stay home mandate!

You are doing a great job. I have been there 5 times in the last few weeks and all of the guests who have come with me have also been very happy. Your terrace is GREAT!

The perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We sat outside, well separated from other diners. The food was all thoughtfully prepared and presented, and the pacing perfect. Besides the spacing of tables, other COVID precautions included masked servers, a choice of a no touch menu (called up on your mobile phone) or single use paper one. The only thing that seemed odd (but was not a problem) was that the bread came in a paper bag instead of a basket.

The patio was great and the staff worked well to make guests feel comfortable.

22nd anniversary...wonderful dinner on the patio

Very pleasant afternoon to sit on the patio with good friends. Great food and service. Roasted cod and scallops with linguini appetizers mushroom French toast and crispy cauliflower. Sparkling rose.

Food and service were excellent and we would return in a heartbeat. My fiancée chose L’albatros to celebrate our engagement earlier that day. Unfortunately we were seated next to an extremely obnoxious party who were clearly oblivious to the fact that there were other people in the restaurant. Servers were very proactive in moving us as soon as a table opened up and did so without us even asking which was much appreciated. We have nothing but positive feedback for the restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone. We both agreed it was some of the best French food we have had outside of France.

Best patio in the city! Great job protective people with masks and distancing. The food and service are ALWAYS phenomenal!
