Lala’s made my birthday extra special! Sophie was a great server, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The meal started with delicious bread and Anthe’s bean salad! My mussels and clams over angel hair pasta was amazing! My brother in law had shrimp cocktail and a half salad with chicken. It was a very generous half! Did I mention the complimentary champagne toast? Sophie lit a tall birthday candle, and she and another server sang to me. Then I was served my all time favorite dessert, crème brûlée with berries! What a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. Lala’s is the best!

We really love LaLa’s. Service and food are always great. Charcuterie board is not to be missed. I usually get the special of the night, which this time was blackened scallops, and they were amazing. Wife always gets the filet and enjoys it. Also, the white French dressing is great. It is pricey, especially with drinks, but for the food and ambiance I think it’s worth it to treat yourself from time to time.

Wish we would have known about Lala’s sooner. Everything about our evening was excellent from the appetizers/entrees to the service and ambiance. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone near the Portage Lakes area!

Serveuse très agréable (Lynn). Starter servi en même temps que le main course. Saumon quelconque!! Bien meilleurs dans beaucoup d’endroit. Risotto de base. Bouteille de vin ouverte à son arrivée , alors qu elle devrait être ouverte devant le client!! Pas du tout “upscale” comme mentionné sur internet!!!

Had reservations that were nicely accommodated. Beautiful table setting. Server was slow. Got us ice water and asked if we wanted a cocktail. When we said no she walked off and didn’t wait to see if we wanted some other beverage. Waited 10 minutes before she came back and her the soup of the day. She wasn’t sure but instead of finding out she was just trying to awkwardly remember. I asked if they had their French onion soup. They were out. I wanted the quail. They were out. This the second time we have left this restaurant without eating. The last time we were there for over an hour and a half and had not received our appetizers and we were never offered refills on our drinks. That night we were drinking cocktails. We left after talking to the manager.

We love Lala’s and therefore hard to give any poor feedback, generally speaking. But just a quick call out for this particular visit… the music was overwhelmingly loud this time (even waitress complained about volume level… didn’t turn down too much…. But the music was great)…. service was a little slower than usual (I got my appetizer (mussels and claims) during my main course delivery… and the app I ordered was actually the dinner portion with pasta, so I felt it didn’t have enough clams / mussels in it, drinks were slow), then they didn’t have most of the apps on the menu available (no crab legs, no escargot… so I settled on mussels / clams)…. Otherwise great as always!

Some of the best rack of lamb I've ever had. Escargot was great. My lady had the red snapper special and loved it. Creme Brulé and Cannolli were very good as well. I'm a former chef and dine all over. Lala's is now in my top five for the Akron area. This was our first time there, can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

Everything was superb, the steaks melt in your mouth, server was fantastic as was the piano player. Best part is you can have a nice leisurely dinner with no one rushing you. We love LaLa’s.

$58 for scallops: Really! five scallops, totally black on top. Drinks $14. $7 for a small dinner salad. Food wasn't that ok. Prices are too high for what you receive.

LaLa’s is an absolutely beautiful place to dine. A casual place to eat with sophisticated decor. Caleb was an excellent waiter - attentive, responsive and personable. The food was very good for the most part but my MonkFish was rubbery and had what seemed to be gristle fibers in it. I could not even cut it with a sharp knife as it felt like there was a rubber bouncy ball in the middle of both pieces. I should have complained but since these are new friends, that felt awkward. My husband’s walleye was okay but nothing worthy of getting again if we go for another dinner there. The pork chop one friend had looked delicious and he said it was. We also like the throwback bean salad that was on item on the menu when the restaurant had a different owner and different name.

Amazing dinner! We had a little date night for 2 and it almost looked like they set up a little 2 person table just for our reservation. The food never disappoints at Lalas & it was a 10/10. I love the 16oz strip. Thanks again!

Just an all around bad experience. They were under staffed, so it was 40 minutes before we got our drinks ordered. The room was loud, so the only think we could really hear was the complaining from the tables around us about the service. The food was okay, but terribly over priced for what you got

Service by Danielle was excellent! Food service was a little slow but the drinks were fantastic and they kept them coming. Make sure to ask the price if you're considering the specials so you aren't caught off guard when you get the bill. We will definitely be going back!
