Since 1875, Lakeside Table & Tearoom, previously known as Hotel Lakeside Dining Room, has been serving Lakeside families and guests.     Excellent experience. Food was delicious, good assortment and generous, with real tea. Seating overlooking the lake was a plus. Out-of-town friends said this was best tea they’ve had.

    Been going here for years. Ownership keeps changing and it keeps getting worse. Server was dreadful. Food not good and uninspired. Manager only person who I think is trying but overall just not worth it. Breakfast buffet is dreadful as is dinners. Way over priced for what they are serving. This is the last time my family and I will go there.

    Historic 1905 hotel kept in its original glory. The flowers on the grounds are stunning. The view of beautiful Lake Erie is unbelievable. French onion soup and lobster bisque were excellent.

    We would have liked thinner bread on sandwiches. We also felt each person only needs 1 portion of each type of sandwich. Maybe offer two sizes for adults. Also we felt there were too many desserts and mousse not necessary. For us one adult tea would have been more than enough food for the 2 of us.

    This is the third time we’ve eaten at the Lakeside Hotel dining room this week. Once again, everything was delicious … lobster Mac and cheese for my husband, a flat bread for me, walleye for my sister-in-law, and ravioli for my brother-in-law. We will definitely eat here again next time we’re in Lakeside.

    This Sunday brunch was so worth the cost - food was amazing (included a prime rib carving station and salmon when we were there plus lots of other choices). There was also a salad bar and a choice of desserts beautifully displayed. Olive (our server) did a great job checking on us and refilling our water and ice tea glasses. We will definitely plan on reserving for the brunch next time we’re in Lakeside on a Sunday.

    What a great historic place to enjoy a meal and that view! If you want to go back in time with a spectacular lake view and just slow down and enjoy this is a great way to do just that.

    We had a delicious dinner (walleye for my husband, pretzel chicken for me). We also had the candied brussel sprouts and bread with olive oil and butter. Anna, our attentive and sweet server, took excellent care of us. We’re already planning to eat there again later this week.

    The food was good, not exceptional. My walleye tasted ok, but was dry. The waiter highly recommended it, so I was disappointed. My view is it’s a very nice place with ok food which makes it seem a little overpriced to me. Seven people with no drinks or dessert and with the tip spent just under $300. Great service and friendly service.

    We really love the ambience of this charming restaurant at Lakeside, having visited the previous summer for lunch. We decided to return for dinner this past week, and were pleased to be seated with a great view of the lake. However, the noise level was quite high, which made conversations at our table very challenging. Perhaps some soft music would help. Also, while others at my table enjoyed their perch dinners, my scallops were somewhat disappointing. They could have been seared a bit more, and the blueberry sauce seemed superfluous.

    We enjoyed a family dinner for the 4th of July and were very pleased. Our server Reagan was wonderful and met our every need. The bread was delicious as well as the prosciutto/asparagus flatbread. My walleye very tasty but my husband's scallops were amazing! I will definitely order this exceptionally tasty dish which featured corn risotto, and a blueberry jam sauce which truly was delicious. I worked as a server at this hotel dining room over 40 years ago and what a delightful experience this was, good to have excellent food here again.

    The food was spectacular and the view is great as well. The dining room was freezing and that is my only complaint. Most people had sweaters or long sleeve shirts.

    The food was delicious and well priced for the overall experience you are receiving. The view inside the dining room overlooking the lake was magical and the perfect backdrop for our occasion. The only “ding” I would have is parking is pretty tricky and I do not blame the restaurant for that. But it’s not easy to figure out the parking situation if it’s your first time there so make sure you leave some extra time in your plans at your arrival. But I would recommend anyone to try this restaurant my overall impression including the parking challenge is very positive!

    I was told if I reserved early enough we would be given a table by the window. There were two tables set up by the window but ours was far from the window. I reserved the very night I had spoken with someone there, thinking I would be given a window table. Price for the experience was a bit high but it was a unique experience and I would do it again for any special occasion. In this case it was a reunion with my first cousins who had fond memroies of Lakeside from their youth . . . Both live far out of state currently (Arizona and North Carolina). It was a delightful time and the food was wonderful. Thank you.

    Our afternoon tea was wonderful. The beautiful Lakeside historic dining room, the lake view, the ambiance and the attentive server all added to this unique experience. The variety of desserts and sandwiches and teas was delicious! I highly recommend this memorable experience!

    Good buffet food. Ribs, chicken, prime rib (with au jus and horseradish) beef brisket, salmon, chicken, Italian pasta, seafood pasta, along with traditional buffet sides and small salad bar. It also had scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, and biscuits and gravy. Mini corn dogs for the kids. Dessert bar was good but just ok although beautifully presented. Service was excellent. Highly recommend and we will be back.
