   I had I had high hopes for this place. The outside looks unassuming but the inside is transformed to an upscale restaurant. The cocktails were fabulous and I highly recommend you try some. I ordered the bathtub gin- served cleverly in a mini bathtub- complete with miniature rubber ducky swimming in your gin. The food , unfortunately, was not tasty. The salad I ordered was basic, nothing special about it therefore overpriced. The French onion soup would have been good except I couldn’t eat it due to the over flavored crouton toast that was layered under the cheese. We didn’t order a main entrée because the soup and salad were subpar. We ended up going to a different restaurant.  I feel that if they were to hire a different chef with better quality food and better menu, this place could do very well.

   Excellent service and ambiance. Food was very good as well. I was initially unsure by the location and exterior but was blown away when entering. Had the pleasure of being seated in one of the VIP tables which provided an extra layer of exclusivity and privacy. I would dine here again. Very accommodating and professional staff.

   We heard about this place and came to check it out but it was not what we expected for the price they charge which included gratitude. The fish had smell the steak was not done properly. Ordered Pistachio desert they were out of it on Friday. Passion fruit drink was out. As a restaurant they should be prepared for Fridays and the staff should know what is available, after selling the food than they go and find it is out that is not Customer Service. The server should also have knowledge of the food they are serving and to give recommendations. Not saying that they don’t know or they don’t like this or that. Any way bad experience food wise but the ambience was good and it was a nice clean place Thanks:)

   The social thinks it’s a big deal - but it’s not. Steaks were well done when we ordered them medium. Out server was very nice but was clearly not trained on any of the menu items. She had no idea about anything on the menu and had no knowledge of the bar capabilities . This is a management training fail. Do better. For the price you charge on central florida we should expect top notch kitchen and pro staff. This felt more like a bad Benigan’s experience for 4 times the price. You have an elevated dress code, which I think is cool, but I better not see the kitchen staff in shorts smoking right next to the front door. Not cool. My large group agreed, we tried it - but we won’t try it again.

   We had eaten there before but tonight was way off. Their menu was nothing like what was posted online and we were the only two people in the restaurant. The menu choices were extremely limited and the food was just ok. We both had salmon, which was fine, but the whipped mashed potatoes had a very strange texture. On a better note, the server was fantastic, even though she was wearing many hats. Overall very disappointing.

   A complete disappointment. Our reservation was at 7pm on a Saturday night, we were 1 of 2 tables all evening. The website lists a fine dining experience with a “dress code” this was not enforced, there were patrons wearing shorts. The chicken Parmesan was supposed to be served with bucatini, it was spaghetti. We also specifically asked the waitress if the chicken Parmesan was thinly pounded here response was “not too thin but definitely not overly thick” this was probably one of the thickest pieces of a cutlet we had ever seen.! Overall, HUGE disappointment! I don’t understand why this restaurant was so over hyped via social media. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

   Started with the frozen store bought meatball for $16. We were going to order prime ribs for my wife and I but waiter said no there thin cut and not so good. So we ordered steak 8oz filet mignon. Our order came out with 2 prime ribs. We ordered our steaks medium rare. The prime ribs came out RAW. We told the waiter that we didn’t order prime ribs but they are raw. He said I’ll get your steaks, 25 mins later they brought us Aldi’s sirloin steaks (again RAW). They were not filet mignon they were the lowest cut sirloin. The table next to us had the Halibut. It was RAW the gentleman sent it back and again RAW. So both tables left very unhappy and hungry. STAY AWAY DONT NOT WATSE YOUR MONEY. HORRIBLE

   The atmosphere was great but that is about the only thing good about this place. It took over an hour to get our food, the meatballs were very bland and not very hot, the pasta was way overcooked and our plates came out about 5 minutes apart. My girlfriend’s food was brought out cold. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but I would definitely not recommend this place. The food was not worth the price. How does it take over an hour for the food to come out when there is 5 entre options on the menu and one of them is $150. Do not waste your time and money.

   Lake Mary Social is an interesting restaurant. It is located in a strip mall and has a frontage that you would easily pass by, never realizing that a high quality restaurant was even there. It is so understated, in fact, that we had to look carefully to find the entrance. Once inside, everything changes. Nice lighting and decor, and tables nicely spaced. Even though it was Valentine's Day, it was clear that extra tables had not been squeezed in (as some up-scale restaurants often do). I noticed that some on-line reviews have criticized the wait time for food and drinks. We had no such issues. My only real disappointment was that the menu was limited (for Valentine's Day) compared to that published on-line. Nevertheless, there were sufficient options to choose from. The shared Charcuterie board was excellent - and could well have been enough for 3 or 4 people. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and tender, and was deliciously paired with the Truffle Potato Millie-Feuille. The latter are incredible, by the way, but are not listed (sadly) as a regular side dish on the published menu. They appear in the "Social Plates" section for a rather pricy $14. Presumably it is meant to share. My wife had the prime rib and she was a little disappointed with it - especially considering its $50+ price tag. Finally, be warned that the restaurant automatically applies a 20% gratuity. I don't know if that was another Valentine's Day 'special', but it's worth checking before you slap on whatever tip you might normally do. The restaurant helpfully provides a space for "additional gratuity" on the check. While certainly not a cheap experience; our meal, with drinks, was a substantial $256 - it is certainly on a par with similar places in the Orlando area. Overall, we enjoyed the experience will definitely dine here again - preferably when the full, normal menu is available.

    We LOVE Lake Mary Social and everyone who works there! The food is incredible! I highly suggest this restaurant!
