   Mushroom soup was cold. Pasta with shrimp and cream sauce was missing sauce. Pretty bland. Burgers were good - better than average. Service was excellent regardless of the food and people were very friendly. Would love to see them improve their food and succeed.

   We were excited that the Lake House reopened and had been wanting to make the trip there for awhile but our experience was disappointing. Their menu is quite limited and yet they still seem to be having problems planning. We had reservations at 7:15pm on a Friday night and they were already out of 2 of the 3 potato choices, the tarter sauce and the soup of the day. The bar still has a lot of character and the gift shop is super cute but the dining room now has LED lighting and a TV and lacks the cozy feeling of the prior place. For what the drinks and food cost, the whole experience lacked a personal touch expected at a supper club. Sometimes it is the little things like having water offered, crackers with the soup, lemon with the fish or at least not running out of what is already a limited selection. I hope that with some adjustments they can improve their patrons experience.

   Keep up the good work. Susan and Steve will try to see you at four every Friday. Your staff is dedicated and is clearly like a family. The bar is staffed by people who are experienced and the drinks are well made. We love the servers. Susan and I like the fish fry and enjoy talking to you when we arrive. We think the local people like to eat at around seven on Fridays so opening early probably won't bring in more than the expense of keeping open. We always eat early. The limited menu is a good idea. Over time I will try everything. The kitchen is excellent with an experienced staff. You are lucky to have them. I think the locals will continue to come in groves.

   The new owner has done a good job of keeping the ambiance, The bar is well stoked and the bartenders are knowledgeable, The menu is limited. We have had the Friday fish and the battered cod is quite good. The röti potatoes can vary from very authentic to meh.

    The service was great, the food was wonderful, lots of good flavors. I had the baked cod and it had a delicious seasoning on it. The drinks are always fun!
