My sister’s 80th birthday. The staff was great and so nice to sing happy birthday for her.
Service was exceptionally poor this evening. We waited approximately 15 minutes for someone to come take our drink order and that was only because we got up to complain. A couple came in 20 minutes after we ordered and got each course prior to ours including drinks, appetizers, dinner etc. We are not even offered dessert. The hostess had to wait on us so we felt a little bad because we assumed they were just busy. To our surprise when we walked outside that was not the case. All the wait staff were in a like to have body art drawn on them for the evening. I expected way better service for a dinner meal with a price tag of $125! Not once did management come by and apologize so that leads me to believe they are part of the problems as well. We have had great experiences in the past but I am not sure we will return.

Celebrating our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The band and music was awesome. Food was excellent. Service could be a little faster but the view made up for it.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. I had the hardest time getting a reservation, just an answering machine and no one called me back until 2 days before my reservation. When we got there no one seemed to know what they were doing. They seemed very disorganized. They didn’t seem to have our reservations. It was 100 degrees and they insisted on putting us outside in the sun! We were at a table way off to the side and the waiters kept coming out a door and dumping water and stuff next to us. They set a fan at our feet to help but it was so hot it just blew hot air and was very loud. We literally felt like we were being ‘punked’. We ordered an appetizer. One was ok at best the other was non edible, and we are not picky eaters. We couldn’t stand the heat beating down on us anymore and decided to pay our bill and leave. There seemed to be other people unhappy also. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful place in a lake and we wanted to hear the band play. When we went inside to leave, there were plenty of empty tables. If we ever go back, it will be in the fall or spring.
We went on a Sunday Evening and because the crowd was very light, we had our selection of tables. We had a very nice server, the food was very good with excellent presentation - Salmon on a small cedar plank with lime-flavored rice and green beans and Jalapeno meat loaf with mashed potatoes and slices of squash. The Salmon had a nice Raspberry glaze and meat loaf had what I think was a plum sauce that was wonderful. The Spring roll appetizer was good, but a bit expensive, I thought. It was a great 35th anniversary dinner and afterwards we sat out on the deck when the sun went down and enjoyed the view of the lake. Great place for dinner! We'd like to come back when it's cooler and eat outside with the lake view.
Me and my boyfriend went for the brunch Buffet and it was on a Sunday 12-2pm . Well we got there at 1:00 pm . Sadly we must have gotten there late because we were basically eating left overs. In a business perspective there should’ve been fresh food. The only thing i enjoyed was the bottomless mimosas . I will say the server was very apologetic and Only charged us for one buffet (my boyfriend did eat because he felt like well since we gone be charged for it my as well eat it ) . I would recommend to get there maybe early ! The place has potential but I was just disappointed in the brunch !
We were the only patrons at the restaurant on a Sunday evening. We wouldn't have known it was open if it wasn't for the fact that we had made reservations for our anniversary dinner. There was no one to greet us when we first arrived. When we were seated, it was in an out of the way area. The menu was very limited. I had asked to substitute seasonal vegetables for the green beans that accompanied the meal. When my meal arrived, it had green beans. Our waitress did offer to take it back, but it wasn't worth the time and effort to me. She did comp our ice tea and our coke. I felt that the food was a little overpriced for what we received. Our waitress was very sweet, but I felt that she should have been more capable of getting our order correct, especially since we were her only customers. After we paid our bill, we remained a few more minutes to finish our drinks. When we did leave, no one was around to acknowledge our patronage. It was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

Consistently lousy service every time we come here-really the worst service I’ve had at any restaurant ever. They don’t really take reservations even though they say they do. We only go to see Tuxedo Cats.
First, they forgot to make our food....we were their for an hour before they told us. Then when the food arrived, it wasn't even cooked all the way. The rice was still hard. None of it was even warm. And the enchiladas were baked in American cheese....which was just disgusting and very cheap. Not to mention the enchiladas were the thickness of two pencils....or maybe a womens finger at best. The food was a disappointment all around. The cheese "queso" was just melted cheese...nothing else in it. And we asked for salsa and were told you dont make it anymore. The waiter was great. But the only other nice thing was the view. But would it have killed you to turn on one of the twenty fans on the patio? Not impressed at all.
We were very excited to enjoy the outdoor seating at this restaurant however we were unable too as there was very loud tejano music being played. It was loud enough that even sitting as far away as possible we were unable to carry on a conversation.
We were then seated inside which was much waiter however the indoor space left something to be desired and the food was only mediocre

From the tables to the bathrooms, this place is dirty. Appetizers took about an hour. Table to get the old dried food off of it took about 15 minutes after seated. This is with a reservation. Silverware ran out so they gave us forms in a cup
One of the Tyler area's most beautiful settings. If they can figure out how to provide good service, this place would be one of the area's best restaurants.
This was our first visit to Lago del Pino, for our anniversary, and I had heard wonderful things about it. I
made a reservation several days in advance and had requested a table with a view, expecting we'd be overlooking the beautiful lake and trees, but instead we had a view of the parking lot. I knew it was going downhill when we waited 15 minutes for a menu, another 5 for a drink menu. Finally placed our order for drinks and appetizer and they came within a few minutes, however we had no utensils or napkins. Ate the appetizer, having to lick our fingers clean. Asked for a napkin. Waited....Asked again for a napkin. Waited..... Asked a 3rd time and after waiting for another 10 minutes we had had enough. (Our waitress told us they had only 4 servers for 120 people that evening, and apologized for the wait, and bless her heart she did run her tail off) Fifty minutes after sitting down, having no dinner, no utensils, and no napkins, we got up to leave. We went to the hostess to request our check to pay for drinks and our appetizer and explained that the service had been horrific. It was NOT busy, in fact I took pictures from our table showing all the empty tables around us. I don't mind waiting for service if a restaurant is jam packed, in fact I expect to wait, but when there are hardly any other customers, except for some prom kids, and your service is poor, there is no excuse other than poor management. We asked to speak to the manager, and he was gracious and apologetic as we described our experience . I was also bothered that there seemed to be no dress code for employees. It was jeans and tee shirts, etc. Couldn't tell employees from customers! My experience in an upscale restaurant is very different. Uniforms, aprons, button down shirts, slacks, hell even a nametag would have helped. The manager was apologetic, and offered to buy our dinner elsewhere and called later to check on us, which I appreciated. Changes need to be made!
Horrible hostesses and servers. It was pretty empty yet it took two hours for our food to arrive. There were chunks of other food that did not belong in our food order. The hostesses were rude & uncooperative. They refused to seat us inside despite it being empty inside & we had a reservation in advance. The food was not good. There was little flavor, rock hard tortillas, chewy meat & it was barely warm.
We waited an hour and a half and never got our food. I brought my future in-laws here and was so embarrassed by the service. Unfortunately I will not be coming back here
We waited 15 mins before my husband finally went and asked for a server. When someone finally came to our table, we were brought old tea. We Asked for the chips and queso appetizer.. the chips were stale and they were out of salsa. The cheese was super thick and cold. We decided to leave. The host and our server saw us leaving and didn’t even bother to ask what the issue was. It was a Friday and night and they were super slow. Being how expensive their food is, and how nice of an ambience, we assumed we would’ve gotten better service. Very disappointed that our date night to Lago del Pino, was a bust. Oh well Kawas got our business that night.

This is my second time I thought I would give you a try I came for New Year’s and that was a disaster ran out of food the bartender was not very attentive I waited in line for drinks forever so this time I thought I’d give you a try and the buffet was like the leftovers that you had that week it was a hodgepodge of food that didn’t even match the danish rolls were hard Has cement Never got any service the macaroni and cheese was like glue and nothing on the buffet matched anything you had out it was like you had leftovers I will never come back
The food was amazing. I loved it. The service was terrible. We had to wait 15 minutes before anyone saw us. We had to ask for refills on our water and plates with our appetizer. I still would go back and give it another chance because the food was so good.
Awful food , weird atmosphere .. bad service . Definitely not going back note recommending this place .
It's a pretty place for the area. On the water. Clean. Good food. Took far too long for our waitress to greet us. Had to go to the bar to get drinks. The music started in the middle of the dinner hour and was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. Nice new building structure. Surprised they didnt put a little more decor on walls.
It was our anniversary and we had a very enjoyable time. Food and service were great.

Great restaurant. We went to see a band and had dinner first which was very good. Dessert wasn't the best bread pudding I'd ever had but we will definitely go back.
Steak and Pork Chop were really well made, very happy. Vegetables were lacking in tast and presentation. We went at 4pm and were the only table for awhile, no ice tea was made, ordered a second drink from bar waitress took my first one away half full.

My husband and I ate there for Sunday brunch as we received a gift card to this restaurant. The building is beautiful, however the food and the service is not worth the visit. There were four servers standing at the omelette/waffle station. When I ordered an omelette, they said that none of them could make them and I would have to wait for the omelette guy to show up. He did... ten minutes later, in sweat pants and a t-shirt. The first omelette I watched him make for the first customer was black - completely burned. I stood there and watched him make mine, it turned out ok. I'm from the Southwest and my husband ordered chilaquiles, a staple where I am from. Whenever he received his dish, I started laughing as it was definitely not chilaquiles. The waitress only appeared to give us our waters, which took over 10 minutes to serve, and the check. Fortunately, there was no place to tip on the receipt after we paid with the card so we didn't leave one. We still have some money left on our gift card, but decided it would only be worth it to go there and order a bottle of wine. The restaurant is seriously overstaffed and undertrained.
Everything we ordered was very good, although I do not recommend the zucchini appetizer. We got 4 (yes, only 4) very thin slices for $8. Everything else seemed sized appropriately, so maybe that was a mistake?
We were looking forward to being able to partake of the advertised view of the lake, but our table was inside away from windows so we weren’t able to see much.
Service was so slow even though the restaurant was not completely full.
Because of the food, I would try it again though.
First, they lost our reservations. My DIL ordered a drink but it wasn’t made with Malibu that she requested. Got another drink but wasn’t any better. I ordered enchiladas but the sauce on top tasted and looked like cold Cheese Whiz. I later got sick. My husband ordered fish tacos and got two very tiny pieces of fish stuck in a tortilla. Nothing else. Won’t be going back.
This location and view were amazing. The fact that there was a 100+ wedding booked that night made it uncomfortable for everyone else. No bar service, since the wedding party took over the bar. The food was nothing special. Kind of disappointing. If a place books a large party, like a wedding event, close the restaurant, don't make others suffer so you can make a few dollars more.
Great venue for almost anything. Highly recommend.
For a Sunday family dinner, this location is not recommended. This is a bar environment bar was loud. The service and food were very undesirable.
My husband and I ate at Lago del Pino for the first time Friday evening. The location was very nice with a beautiful view of Lost Pine Lake. I ordered the Tilapia Ragout with sautéed spinach and green beans. Both the Tilapia and the spinach were very salty (I like salt on my food, but it was extremely salty). My husband had the Le Pork Chop with green beans and barracho beans. He said the pork chop was not very tender and the menu said it was a 12oz, but it didn’t appear to be a 12oz. We might come back one more time and order something different next time.
Wife’s birthday. The food was good, but the lake view and outside area is spectacular.
Highly recommend the place.
Beautiful and a great place for a special occasion. I had reserved a table for 9pm and we were seated right away but it took over an hour to get our food.

I made my reservation in open table. The hostess said they do not accept reservations from open table. I received a confirmation so I really don't understand. The food look nothing like the photos. At the breakfast buffet we never got scrambled eggs..we waited 15 minutes and gave up. There were no pastries nor was there any bread. Very poor
Our table was dirty, and there was food and stuff on the floor around and under our table. We were there to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday the day before Mother's Day and both my mom and mother-n-law ordered off the menu instead of having the buffet. It took over an hour before they got their food. They told us that there was a party of 20+ that ordered off the menu before our order. With an order that large I think they should have worked our 2 menu items in while continuing to work on their large order, so my mom and mother-n-law wouldn't have had to wait over an hour for their food. Everything on the buffet was was cold and dried out. There was no fruit in the pan it was to be in and it took what seemed forever before more was put out. The only part that was good was the made to order omelet and the bacon. The manager could tell that we were agitated and said he would not charge us for the 2 meals off the menu, but when we got our bill they were listed. We just paid and left. It was not a very good Mother's Day brunch experience!
We sat at the bar waiting for our table and were literally ignored. They waited on a guy who just walked up before they ever even looked at us. I was finally able to order a glass of wine but never got it. I had to finally leave the bar because it was taking too long and our table was ready. The girl up at the bar did come over and apologize and brought me a glass of wine. We sat at a table outside but the band was so loud we couldn't even talk so we moved outside. The music should be quieter during dinner hours. We finally got our food and it was very good but overall it was a disappointing experience. Sad too because this could be really cool place. Not sure that I'll go back again.
