Lagniappe - Amelia Island
Flat iron steak, port wine demi-glace, Bacon's farm-fresh greens, house-cut fries
Broiled and served with remoulade and lemon
Our food was unique and delicious with huge portions at a reasonable price considering both the quality and quantity. Our server (Natalia) was wonderful, with remarkably knowledge of the menu and preparation of the dishes. And the Manager upon learning it was our 25th wedding anniversary treated us to a wonderful dessert on the house. Overall, definitely one of the best dining experiences we've had in quite some time... highly recommended!
We loved this place! The food was amazing. Our first time in Amelia Island. We are long time Palm Beach county residents who have a ton of restaurants to choose from and this place was great.
The food we received was quite good; however one entree came out wrong, and a replacement never came out. We also never received side dishes that we ordered. It took one hour to get our appetizer and 1 1/2 hours to get the entrees. Our waiter tried to be attentive but it was clear that the restaurant was grossly understaffed. We spoke to the manager who was quite defensive. She blamed the problem on a large party. This is a management staffing issue that should be addressed.
Very noisy. Didn’t realize that there was going to be party of 28 and a party of eight. It was very noisy. To sit a couple in the same room with that many party goers was not good. I know we asked for that room because it is a nice dining room but if they warned us about the two parties we would have opted for the main room. My meal of the steak frites was very good and I substituted the frites for Brussel sprouts which were wonderful
Everything was great
Always a great place to grab a great meal and drinks...
Excellent ambiance. The bar is outstanding with excellent selections and knowledgeable bar tenders. Our meal was great as well. If the fried green tomatoes are offered, don’t pass them up. We had a filet and pork chop and both were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Our waiter, Bob, was great. He took
excellent care of us. This restaurant has become an island favorite of ours and I highly recommend it.
Food was excellent. Drink pours have gotten much better. Friday night close to a Baxter’s pour. Bartenders keep up the good work
Service also excellent with a large crowd at 7:00
Family in town. Wanted some place we could catch up. Becky our waitress was fantastic. Good came out just at the right pace and all was steaming hot. Perfect!
The mussels are one of my favorites. If I'm not mistaken they used to be PEI which I prefer to the big ones served the last time.(just my preference) I do wish the grilled bread service w mussels was more consistent. Seafood jambalaya was really good but I would not call it jambalaya. Stations are either too big for individual servers or someone did not show up because our server was one we know and like but he was pulled in too many directions. Big difference between lacking service because of poor training vs someone given more than any should handle. Not disgruntled, just want to help establishment w the things I saw.
My 12year old daughter and I went for an early dinner at 5 (when they open for dinner). I had the clover club cocktail and the special catch of the day, which was flounder. My daughter had the double cheeseburger, added fries. We also shared the brownie ala mode. All the food was delicious! Our server Shantel was very attentive and knowledgeable in the menu. Can’t wait to come back!
Great food. Social atmosphere. Restaurant ran well even without the owners, Brian and Melanie, who apparently take Thursdays off.
Menu a problem if you can’t eat garlic. It’s everywhere. The shrimp grits were fair; tails left on so messy to get off. Sauce too spicy for me but perhaps not for others. “Caesar” salad very good but too large, as all portions appeared to be. Typically south. Steak was excellent as were fries. Cooked just right.
Service outstanding. When she found out I can’t eat garlic, went way beyond call of duty to sort out with chef. Very attentive and pleasant. Big tip!
Always great! Wait stuff is super friendly and the food is genuinely delicious.
We want to like Lagniappe. But after three mediocre experiences we are giving up. Our server was nice but she was probably working too many tables and so it was very slow. She neglected to tell us about the specials that we heard about when she told an adjacent table. My meal was a simple spinach salad to which I added salmon. It was overcooked. We declined to even consider dessert because of the wait.
This place never disappoints. We have at least one meal here every visit to the island.
We tried Lagniappe for the first time during the Amelia Island Concours week. We were pleased to get a table at a reasonable hour for 8 people and when we arrived the table was ready after only a 5 minute wait. Our group had a great time. We really enjoyed the food and ambiance of this restaurant. As a former resident of New Orleans, I find that efforts to do really authentic Cajun and Creole cooking often miss the mark. This was certainly not the case with Lagniappe. It is definitely on my list for our next trip to Amelia Island.
As always we were greeted warmly and taken to our table. Our server was helpful and friendly and if course the food was amazing. It was Car Show weekend so the place was packed yet all went well!
Good meal overall. We were seated right next to the restrooms, not good ambiance.
Food and service was excellent!
it was a great atmosphere
Our new go to dining! We have eaten here twice in the last week and it was outstanding both time! The first experience we were served by Natalie. The evening appeared extremely busy and maybe a little short staffed and Natalie handled everything beautifully.
We ordered two of the specials and one from the menu. All three were outstanding. During out second visit everything was just as good! Heather served us and the service was again top notch!
We will definitely be back!
Good food and friendly service. Nice decor. Love this restaurant!
My wife loves the shrimp and grits. The jambalaya was meh! Too much sauce, couldn't taste the seafood The caesar salad was tasteless. The noise level off the charts for this acoustically challenged room on a Wednesday night, and our waitress was very very challenged on her learning curve. I would not go back except to please my wife.
Wonderful place to take the dogs and enjoy their beautiful outdoor patio with a large fire pit. It is always the first restaurant we go to when we come to the beach
Lagniappe was excellent. The crabmeat salad is beautiful and excellent. Servings were ample. Fried green tomatoes were great!
Food was fantastic. One of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Calamari was delicious. Service was equally great.
Loved the restaurant! My salmon
was cooked to perfection and delicious.
Our server, Betsy, was extremely helpful. The appetizers and entrees were absolutely delicious! Presentations were on point! Prices were great for the experience... we will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful evening, Betsy!
One of our favorite restaurants!
It is probably our favorite restaurant on Amelia Island right now!
We had a great time at this restaurant. We ate at the bar and the staff was friendly and engaging. The food was delicious!
We had a 7:30 pm reservation and when we got there, we were told there were no tables - we would have to wait. We weren’t seated until about 8:15 pm. No one offered us a free drink or appetizer - we’re so sorry - nothing. The food is good and we’ve had really good experiences in the past but this is not a good way to treat customers
6 of us enjoyed a delicious lunch with attentive service that didn’t rush us as we discussed the book we had read. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choice for lunch.
Great food, service and atmosphere! A must!!
Restaurant suggested by a local. We were not disappointed. Meal was exceptional.
First night was excellent. The second night they were out of most of the featured items; oysters, mussels, brazed meat and the selections that we ordered were not nearly as good as the previous night. Both times the waitresses were good although incredibly busy. The hostesses on both nights were not very inviting and obviously seemed stressed.
Just the best place in town! Great food, great staff.
No complaints... it was 'fine'. Not over the top, but not bad at all. Service was slow, not nice at first, but she got better, nicer.
The whole experience was great! The food was perfect and service too.
Wonderful place but shrimp and grits made my wife sick. Tasted good but quite rich. My steak was a good cut but underdone and broccoli was barely cooked.
