Lagniappe - Amelia Island
remoulade, tomato, lettuce, on brioche bun
Bang Island Mussels
blue cheese, Benton's bacon, toasted bread
Lagniappe is wonderful. Great food in a very upscale setting. A little pricey, but worth it! Delicious crab cakes could have used an extra spoonful of aioli/sauce. My friend had the trout special and loved it! Scallops were perfect. Only reason I gave 4 stars for service was because the waitress was new and it took awhile to get my bill.
The fried chicken is excellent
Food was delicious and arrived relatively quickly considering the place was packed. Service was on point! We will definitely be back.
The food was really good, however, the service was not so great. Our waiter seemed to be very inexperienced, which would have been fine if the mistakes that were made with our order were corrected, but they weren't. This would not prevent me from going again though as the food was spot on!
Great atmosphere, great food. Will be back for sure!
We enjoyed our dinner. Food was good and served in a timely manner. Waitress
kept checking on us to see if we needed anything.
Excellent meal with excellent service. The Short rib and Red fish are second to bone!
We were a large group which can sometimes be awkward for servers -- ours handled us with great finesse. The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambience was delightful, too. We could kick ourselves for waiting so long to try this superb restaurant.
Was looking for a decent steak house on the island for a special occasion. Heard mixed reviews about other well know places and decided to try Lagniappe out and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were outstanding, best Sazerac I've had outside New Orleans. Steak was perfect and the price did not break the bank. Went for dessert and my party tried one of everything on the menu. Not a single dessert was bad and not a scrap of leftovers was left behind it was so good. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
Had lunch here with 3 girlfriends and it was a lovely dining experience. We sat inside in a booth for 6 so we had plenty of room. It was noon and only moderately busy for a weekday. Our server was attentive and wore a mask. The crab cake appetizer and the crab cake sandwich were very tasty and presentation was beautiful. My group also tried salads, and soups and all were very good. The ambiance was upscale, dimly lit, private and cozy. We all said we would definitely go back. Bon Appetite.
My meal was quite cool. The other guests were fine. On the way out one guest tried to compliment the chef on the mussels and he was disinterested.
Had friends in from out of town! Loved it! Soft shell crab special was devine!
Excellent food and ambiance. It’s very close to where we live so it’s really convenient!
Food was excellent like usual. We shared the calamari app and it was a huge portion; more than enough to share! As a table, we had scallops, fried chicken, artisan salad w/shrimp, and crab cakes. Each of us enjoyed our meal. Service was great.
Great food and atmosphere
We dined here during our first trip to Amelia Island. The restaurant was located about one mile from our condo, in a shopping center. There were plenty of parking spaces close to the restaurant. We were seated at our reserved time. We loved the ambiance and decor. Our waitress greeted us promptly and within five minutes, we placed our order. The food arrived about ten minutes later. I had shrimp and grits, the grits were in the form of a cake, which I liked. My husband had a seafood pasta. We both enjoyed our meals. We asked for a dessert to go. We then didn’t see our waitress again for about 20 minutes. The dessert was brought to the table, and we still hadn’t gotten our bill. Our server got overwhelmed with multiple tables that were seated at about the same time. Overall, we enjoyed eating out inside a restaurant once again.
As good as it gets. The “three amigos” travel together....a lot. Liked Lagniappe so much we went back the next day for lunch. Fabulous food, great service. We’re going back to Amelia Island in a few months and Lagniappe will be the first place we go. BTW, run away from The Boathouse.
Always a great meal and service was exemplary--lovely decor as well.
My flounder was raw and crawfish were chewy. It was VERY loud. Music wasn’t necessary key lime pie had no flavor
The smoked salmon starter was fatty. The lemon roasted chicken was tasteless, no seasoning. I had to ask for steak sauce for flavor. The food could have been hotter (I.e. mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables).
Best restaurant we visited on Amelia Island! Great experience and good. Close to Omni and Ritz!
WOW.. Absolutely love the redfish with the chicken fried oysters on top (Menu staple)! We also had the Special Flounder and it too was outstanding. BTW: the oysters were the bomb and next time i am getting an order of them! You can count on these guys for delicious dining!
Great place for a dinner with friends and/or family!
Truly a great experience at Lagniappe. Our waiter was prompt and overall pleasant enough. The food was over the top. Will be going out of way to get back there asap.
I understand it's Spring break so the level of noise and children should have been expected. We still had a great meal and enjoyed the evening.
Excellent choice for a luncheon gathering for old friends. We enjoyed a private corner table and excellent server responded to everyone’s needs.
As usual it was awesome!
Regrettably, the food was fair and the service was poor. Low country boil so spicy hot that my husband who is from New Orleans could hardly eat it and for sure did not enjoy. Our waitress was great but it took a very long time to receive our food and they were inattentive. Weird ambiance and decor- very dark. Sorry to leave this review but want others to know so they can spend their dollars elsewhere on vacation.
Great food,atmosphere & experience!
Outstanding meal with family on patio
Everything about this evening was excellent. Our food and service were both exceptional!
We were seated on time and we waited for server attention 10-15 min then it was 30 min Until we had a drink then no service for a second drink. Food was good but not special Very disappointing
Waited an hour or more for entrees. Short rib was fatty as hell and even tough to cut. Crab cakes were packed with Mayo. Pork chop cold. Flounder special not much even. Worst experience in a restaurant in a long time.
Food was bland and service was terrible.
Waited 20 minutes for a server to greet us food was soggy and bland
We recommended to our guests that they get the salmon entree that we have gotten repeatedly because we love the lentil side. It came with plain white rice instead and the Brussels sprouts were dry.
This will certainly not keep us from returning as we love your restaurant and am writing to just share our experience.
Very good crabcakes, satisfying salads and my son couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the burger was!
Delicious food; wine choice excellent! great atmosphere! Reservations are a good idea as this is a popular restaurant!
Our server- a young fellow, was very good with our group of 8 this past Sunday.
