The Feast of Seven Fishes is a tradition that originated in Southern Italy, where it is known as "The Vigil" and commemorates the wait for the midnight birth of the baby Jesus. Roman Catholics have a long tradition of eating seafood on Christmas Eve. The meal consists of seven different seafood dishes . . . each of which we're keeping a secret until the big day! The event begins at 6 pm, and the cost per person is $100.

The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant are strange. Black interior with strange modern light fixtures - too dark. The food is fair and they rush the dinner. We had three courses and done in 40 minutes.

Our friends and my wife and I had an excellent visit with Lagniappe. Our server, Natalie, was perfect and very pleasant. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. Ever since it opened, Lagniappe has been on our dining itinerary when we come to Amelia Island.

Everything we had here was stunning. The pulled pork egg rolls had a delicious BBQ sauce on a bed of sweet (but not too sweet) cole slaw and the fried green tomatoes were some of the best I've ever had. They had such a nice crunch even after sitting on the pimento cheese, which paired perfectly with the pepper jelly. I had the pork chop for my entree and it was perfectly tender and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was delicious and the blackberry ginger preserves added just the right amount of sweetness to the dish. Very nice wine selection and my companions fully enjoyed their cocktails, especially the Les Bon Temp which was very elegantly presented in a coupe glass. The service was also excellent. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and although they were clearly busy they were able to seat us right away (although we would have been perfectly happy waiting). Our waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable. Very interesting decor, dim atmospheric lighting without being so dark you can't see your food. A bit pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for here and I will definitely be going back soon.

We had a wonderful meal! The reviews don’t lie when they say it’s loud, but we had no problem with it. It’s vibrant and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We certainly did! Lanny was our server and he took incredible care of us. He recommended a fabulous wine to complement both of our meals (crab cakes and fish special- both delicious) we also split the tomato and burrata served over sourdough (which was fabulous). We will definitely be back!

We had a birthday celebration. Drew was our server. He was great. Something new we learned was that there is an option to tip the cooks in the kitchen if you liked your meal. It’s listed on the menu. The chocolate mouse was amazing and the scallops were great. Really wanted to try the fried lobster tails. Next time. We will be back. Ty

Went to Lagniappe with my mother for Mother’s Day and had a wonderful experience all the way through. We booked our res through OpenTable and we were promptly seated after arriving. Our waiter, Chris, was engaging and had thorough knowledge of the menu. He offered recommendations and described the food in such a way that made me excited for the meal to come. Chris was attentive without disrupting our experience. The chef’s special with seared sea scallops and pork belly was flavorful and cooked perfectly, but the shrimp and grits was phenomenal. I usually try to get something different every time I visit a restaurant but would 100% order the shrimp and grits again. We both ordered old fashioneds with Basil Hayden bourbon (their whisky selection is extensive, by the way), both were crafted perfectly. Overall a great experience.

Calamari appetizer was great but things went downhill from there. Pork Belly and Scallop special was so, so. Pork Belly was overcooked, scallops were luckily cooked the right amount but were only seared on one side. Accompanying vegetables were terrible.

We had four for dinner, champagne chicken for my wife was excellent. Shrimp and grits for my sister was excellent. Fried shrimp basket, doesn’t sound sexy but the do a great job with it. I had one of the dinner specials, pork shank, just okay, not very flavorful, not recommended.

The ambiance is great. The shrimp Po boy was not. It had no flavor. I even asked for extra sauce on the side. I also added a lobster tail. It was not a full tail. It was a skinny lobster served on a skewer. I have never had a lobster tail. Served on a stick.
