Lagniappe - Amelia Island
remoulade, tomato, lettuce, on brioche bun
Bang Island Mussels
blue cheese, Benton's bacon, toasted bread
One of our favorite restaurants and always inviting and friendly. The food is always on point and delicious.
Melanie us always welcoming and accommodating.
We were pleasantly surprised by Lagniappe. We thought it was a little strip mall place but it is a stand-alone very nice restaurant. Nicely decorated, excellent service, very good food. Great find.
Great food and ambiance! Reservations highly recommended.
We ordered the famous chicken fried oysters, which we’ve had twice before.
Got plain fried oysters. Disappointed.
We had an excellent anniversary dinner. Our waitress was the best and our steaks were some of the best I’ve had! The anniversary dessert was a nice touch! Thank you!
The ambiance and decor was great! The was a good variety of food. We ordered steaks and neither were cooked to the correct temp and weren’t well seasoned. The wait staff and atmosphere were nice but the food was slightly disappointing
One of our dinners didn't come until all others were already done eating. Kitchen mistake, I believe. Our desserts were "comped" as an apology. Food was excellent.
We'll be back!
All good except for large family with adorable, but very loud baby, seating very close to us. Difficult to hear and understand our conversation.
EVERYTHING ELSE WAS LOVELY!
Staff were wearing masks and tables were socially distant. Our server was very good; attentive and informative. We shared a smoked salmon and salmon mousse appetizer and were told that the kitchen was stacked up so there would likely be a delay with our main courses. We appreciated being told in advance. Our mains were steak frites; steak was perfect but the my fries were lukewarm and dry..I think they had been out a while..H had the pork chop which was fine. We had no room for dessert except always room for ice cream. The restaurant has several rooms so is quite large and there is an echo..it was a bit noisy as a result but all in all, good.
Nice wine list, fantastic Sazarac, well-prepareed, and fresh, scallops & shrimp
Not so positive:
It was sad that during our meal the restaurant was out of many dishes. I would have expected a more complete menu at 7:30. The Low Country Boil was pretty bland and the Humming Bird cake was stale.
In all it was not the best example ... let's hope our next visit will be better.
Excellent food. The Blackened Redfish was superb. Only complaint we had was the waitress was unhappy & it showed in her service. Maybe just a bad day for her.
The server was excellent and made a few suggestions for our meal. We enjoyed the cocktails and enjoyed a leisurely dinner. The food was outstanding my husband loved the scallops said they were the best he had in a long time. Cooked to perfection with a yummy sauce. I had catch of the day which was also fabulous. We will return!
The ambience was really nice inside (didn’t see outdoor patio). It was humid and warm so we opted to dine indoors. Plus, it’s in a shopping center so the outside didn’t seem appealing. Food was good but we waited a very long time for our entrees and they all came out cold! We were hungry so we didn’t complain to our waitress who was just okay and not very friendly. Drinks were slow to be replenished as well. However, the food was tasty so I’d give it another try. But for the location and prices service needs to improve and food needs to be served warm at a minimum!
Took some clients out and was impressed as they were too.
Truly amazing food and service! Highly recommend!!
Wonderful service matched only by the quality of the food
Pretty mediocre for the price point. If I were to return I would stick with the apps and sandwiches. My blackened redfish might have been good, but it was so heavily doused with sauce that I couldn’t tell. The calamari came in a large portion, but also heavily doused is sauce. I prefer to dip my own. On the flip side of the sauce dousing was the broiled crab cake, which was dry and in need of a sauce. The side of asparagus had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The waitress was positive and energetic, but too stretched to provide attentive service. The men’s restroom needed attention at 6:00 pm. They were out of two menu entrees at 6:00. also. Maybe a good lunch get dinner spot after golfing, but not fine dining.
Best meal in years. Highly recommend!
Delicious! Will definitely go back
It started when our server told us she was not allowed to tell us what was on the charcuterie board....who would purchase something if they aren’t sure if they would like it? Then the drink I ordered was more peach than described so she told me if I didn’t like it she would bring me something different. She admitted the drink shouldn’t be so peach tasting. She returned a few minutes later To tell us the bar manager said she could not take the drink off the bill. Not very customer friendly. My husbands glass of wine sat empty throughout dinner but she never returned to ask if he wanted more. It is unfortunate as the food was great but the service and hospitality completely lacking
Hip vibe with traditional care. Very creative and delicious food; great variety of menu items. Chicken fried oysters were large, plump and tasted fresh and light even fried. Fried green tomatoes were out of this world. Trout special was light and melt in your mouth. The blue corn crusted catfish was crisp on the outside and moist inside. It was a considerably-sized portion and the fish was fresh and firm. The salad with sweet potatoes and a Tupelo honey vinaigrette with added shrimp was perfect for someone wanting a lighter fare. The meal was excellent and we'd recommend it to any foodie. Restaurant is dark and the light fixtures feel too galactical, but we weren't there for the light fixtures.
We had a birthday dinner there for 7 of us. It was really nice to have a booth, cozier so we could talk to each other better. Our waiter, Chris, was great.....sometimes 7 ladies can be a bit much! Everyone loved their food. Thought the Fried Green Tomatoes were just a tiny bit over-breaded.
Great service and very prompt food. Great seafood options and big portions.
We enjoyed our dinner and the group was seated quickly. Service was great, we had 10 people and everything came out perfect!
Lovely restaurant staff are great, professional and very pleasant.
Everything I asked for was perfect.
Restaurant is very nicely decorated and not too many patrons if one dines earliesh.
Reservations are recommended especially during the holiday season and over the weekend.
Food was great.
Have been quite a few times and have never been disappointed.
Thank you for a lovely evening.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Laniappe. Maybe the best mussels I ever had! The Caesar salad could use some improvement other than that a great little restaurant.
I was referred to this restaurant by a friend who had never eaten there but heard good things about it. Food and service were both outsanding.
The food, ambience and service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Nice for a vaca dinner
Outstanding service, food & ambiance. Great evening...
Food was outstanding. Our server Ken was very attentive, and did an excellent job.
We had an excellent meal. We were a party of 8 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I had the catfish and my husband had the pork chop. I would recommend both items. The homemade cakes and pies topped off the evening. The service was great. I definitely recommend but be sure to book a reservation.
Had the best honeymoon vacation dinner we could have ever imagined.
We ate here twice. Lunch options were really good. Nice sandwiches and salads. Dinner entrees were mediocre. Steaks were supposed to be prime but were not prime caliber. Scallops undercook. Wine list mediocre.
We love our server, Becky!
Good food, nice ambience. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
This was our first restaurant experience in the 14 months since onset of our pandemic. Beautiful restaurant. This could be a stellar restaurant with just a bit more effort. Granted after all this time our expectations could have been unrealistic.
They took the smoked wings off.. the best ever...
