Took 20mins to be recognized by staff then seated. Left after another 20mins of being ignored.
Great location. We were headed to a Blue Jays game and it was the perfect spot. It was not too crowded and the service was great. Nice drinks as well!
We had never been and are definitely going back. Beautiful place, excellent food and the parking was very close and inexpensive. We had a great time!
Beer great, food ok
We had a pretty large group of people, they were very accommodating and patient. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very welcoming.
Service was fantastic as well as the food!
Following an event downtown my wife an I were looking for a simple but good sit down lunch. We found the Lafayette Brewing Company after a quick search of restaurants nearby. We were quickly greeted and seated at our choice of tables adjacent to the bar. Our server was also the bartender and managed to juggle both duties while remaining friendly and helpful. We started with a cheesy lobster dip. We both found it to be very good. It came with pita points and veggies. For entrees I chose a turkey wrap and my wife a venison burger. Both of these were very good. The burger came with homemade chips that were excellent. I chose to add fries instead of the chips. Our server kept our beverages full without being asked and was helpful with descriptions of our menu choices. If your looking for decent pub food in a friendly setting this is the place to go.
Food lacked flavor, employee that seated us did not greet us and was rude.
The service was excellent... our waitress was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. If I had to give one suggestion it would be to have some music playing after the upstairs festivities end...it was all of a sudden very quiet which was odd. Otherwise, amazing!
The food was actually really good. The space is amazing. I wish more of the place was open because the parts that are closed off are cooler than the part that’s open.
Made reservations for brunch. Checked open table and website. It seems all is good. We get there at 11 am and they are just opening the place. It was empty. They had one printed copy of the brunch menu. No problem we shared. They had three items. When the waitress came, we asked if this was the menu since we had checked the website, literally the day before, and it showed a much more enhanced menu. She said "Yep that is what they have but they also added French toast." When she was told about the discrepancy, she thought it might be related to COVID19. Wow. Many, Many places have been impacted by the pandemic. However, they either list a scaled back menu or place a clear notice on their website. Not these guys. I pray that they can get it together, after all it is a great location and a beautiful building.
When we got there they were closed
Great service and food
We went there for Sunday brunch and we were told they haven’t served Sunday brunch since Covid started but their website was not updated with that tidbit of info. We were handed disposable menus that had their regular lunch selections. Service was very friendly/fast. We ate outside on Washington street at a wobbly table telling random homeless people we were not giving them $5. Food was ok. We both had salads. Drinks were ok (BM and screwdriver) no mimosas served. Price was ok. Probably won’t be back.
Although no one was there took forever to get any service or drinks or apps. We left after and went somewhere else
Good food and service, absolutely beautiful architecture inside. Wish there were a few more beer selections, but enjoyed overall.
Beer was very good and the appetizers and soup were yummy but the pizza wasn’t that good unfortunately and I wouldn’t recommend getting onions on it either they were basically burnt and nonexistent but overall not bad
The food was very good, although I went there to try the pancake lasagna and it was not available this day. Very upsetting. Enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. My husband had the brunch burger and said it was the best brunch burger he has ever had. Would definitely return if they had the pancake lasagna!
We went to hang out and relax Great food nd drink Bar had great atmosphere
Great location! Decent on tap offerings! Just wasn't overjoyed about the food. I had the pulled pork nachos and there weren't enough chip to eat with the toppings. It ended up being a salad. Thank goodness we made a reservation as it was very lively and busy when we arrived. The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Our server seemed very blasé but otherwise no complaints on her service. Not sure I'd come back.
When arriving at Lafayette Brewing Co there was no host available for at least 5 minutes. Finally an employee acknowledged we were looking for help getting a table (though we made prior reservations and they did not even ask for a name). It was very chaotic seemed like employees couldn't handle a busy Saturday night. Food was mediocre. Place for getting beer as it is a brewery but would not recommended when looking for a nice sit down place to eat.
Menu was not updated, some items had been discontinued. Mimosas were warm and watered down. Our meal was finished before condiments arrived. Our bill was picked up by other staff member and our waitress questioned us about it, which made me question who took my money. Cheap brunch but not worth it.
We ate here for a Sunday Brunch. Service and food were great but it is definitely more of a bar feel to it. Looks like a great set up and we would return for an evening if we are in the area again.
The cajun chicken wings were out of this world good, like top 5 I've ever had in my life. I booked this place for a party of 6 for my boyfriend's birthday and the service was great, good beer, great ambiance, and easy to park location (street parking and lots around). I've also gone here for work happy hours in the past and they were always awesome service.
Everything very good - service excellent
The food was absolutely AMAZING!! Definitely would dine here again.
Our server was very patient and kind with our party, as we had a few of us arrive late.
Prices were very reasonable as well!
Second time there. Both times asked for high top. Even requested online. Waitress was slightly dismiss of me. Will not be back
The food was good. The service was even better. That was my first time at this restaurant so I didn’t realize that it was part of what appeared to be an older hotel. Good overall dining experience.
food great, beer great great wooden bar atmosphere
We went for brunch as a party of 6. Reservation was 11am. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant (which is not her fault) but she absolutely could not handle us plus the three other tables (all parties of 3 or 4). It took a long time for her to bring our drinks (which were very good) and then even longer to take our orders. We waited for over 45 minutes for our food to come out and 3 of the 6 peoples orders were wrong. One person ordered eggs over hard and they came out over easy and they were sent back and she waited close to 15 minutes for her food to come back and the eggs were exactly the same. My breakfast burger was ordered medium and came out well done. Another person's poached eggs were raw and inedible. The home fries had no flavor at all. They were just cut up potatoes. We absolutely do not recommend dining there but the drinks were great.
I do not feel that I would highly recommend Lafayette Brewing Company to a friend. The ambiance and space was very nice but the service and food were lack-luster. My husband had inquired on 2 separate beers, how dark they were and what the server would recommend, the server could only respond to both questions with, "I'm not much of a beer drinker." My husband followed it up with, "Are there any beers you could recommend?" and our server responded with, "I recommend the vodka." Obviously this was not helpful. When it came to ordering food I asked whether she would recommend the fish fry, she replied, "it's ok." I don't know whether she was just unfamiliar with the menu and the food itself or whether she was just lacking in any and all enthusiasm. However, she was in no way encouraging or helpful when it came to our questions.
We were one of three tables on our side of the restaurant and both other tables had walked their bills up to her (assuming that was protocol since she had not been back in 15+ minutes to pick them up) and she reacted by saying, "You can take those back to the table, I was going to come over in a minute." The food wasn't bad but because of the poor service we received, compared to many of the other restaurants in the area, I do not see us returning here for a meal.
WE were disappointed in our experience at Lafayette Brewing Company. The hostess was rude when we arrived for our reservation, repeatedly telling us it would be an hour wait. Once seated we are not approached by any wait staff for 15 minutes. The only highlight was our waitress once she was informed of our table, she was very friendly and polite and apologized for the delay. Overall the food was good but the menu is limited for vegetarians.
Food and service was great. A little too dark (could barely read the menus).
We went for the thanksgiving buffet. It was very good. Hubby and son loved the prime rib. Sides were very good. Desserts were just okay.
Was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful old Building, with a lot of character. Food was very good, beef on weck was outstanding, chicken wings or perfectly crispy. Beer and cider were delicious. We definitely go back again.
We were greeted warmly by the Hostess and seated immediately. We had reservations. The waitress was very friendly and readily offered some suggestions when asked about menu items. She was attentive without being intrusive. I had the steak and stuffed pepper medium pizza- very tasty with just the right amount of zip. Across the table was the fish and chips, tasty but nothing overly memorable.
We loved the look of the restaurant and the food was amazing. Our server was very attentive to our needs. We definitely look forward to returning.
Birthday brunch. Our waitress was super sweet. The mimosas were perfect and she gave me a delicious slice of their chocolate cake.
Great dinner before Phil Collins concert!
Great server. Excellent beer. Beef on Weck sandwiches were great!
