We had a good time at dinner before a Genesis show and after for a nightcap. Schyler and the other bartender were courteous, prompt and of good humor on busy night! Much appreciated.
Good food and beverage selection. Mona, ours food server, was excellent
Really nice vintage place. Bottomless mimosas are dangerous haha. Food was good and so was the scenery
Food was okay, but nothing that would make me excited to really want to go back. Pizzas were average, seemed like the dough wasn’t homemade or needed something. Service was slow.
Attracted by the grandeur and history of the Lafayette, we expected something more than an exhausted waitress (1 for the whole restaurant, 2 big groups and us) and some middle of the road food. Nothing special on the menu. The french fries accompanying the burger (we asked double fried and crispy) were only double fried but not crispy. Fried at the wrong temperature and/or wrong potato. The rucola on the burger was wilted and dropped on it as a heavy blanket. My salad came with chicken, which I ordered without (some one else ordered same salad with chicken, so it must have been mixed up was the lame excuse).
The noise level was ok but when this place fills up it really needs measurements in place to get the Decibels down. The music was mostly not appropriate for dining, hard rock is nice for the bar section next door (same door) but not for dinner.
I hope that staffing and cooks get better, the menu more interesting, and more people will find this awesome place. (Ramsey help!!) Good luck!
Cici was a great server. Fun time!
We were sat at our table and waited over 20 minutes for someone to come over which they never did. The waitress went to a table behind us twice and didn’t even acknowledge us. They only had 3 tables in the whole place. It was not busy one bit. We could understand if it was busy but to have the waitress take care of the other tables and not even be acknowledged once was very uncalled for. Very disappointing because we looked forward to coming here since it was our first time. I would never recommend it to anyone.
The restaurant is beautiful. The hostess was very efficient and friendly. We had 5 pm reservations. Now the bad, after 55 minutes of waiting for a server we left. Unfortunately no one ever came over to our table to get drink or food orders. We waited patiently since it was busy and there was a concert that evening. At one point said something to hostess and still no one appeared. We understand being busy and short staffed however 55 minutes was unacceptable. We have eaten there before and food was good. That’s why we went back. Can’t say we won’t try it again but before we do I will call and ask if anything else is going on In the area,
Pricey for finger food.. food poor drinks good architecture beautiful
Went to Lafayette before Shea’s. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. We had the pizza with Brie. It was amazing. The building is gorgeous. All the old wood is beautiful. Highly recommend. Will definitely go again.
Would not recommend. Limited menu, food not great
Beautiful Building, hot night could have used more air conditioning.
Some of the food ordered by the party of 5 I was with was inedible. They did comp the inedible food though & apologized.
It was fine.
Great time with friends @ Lafayette Brewing! Food was outstanding & the building is stunning! Highly recommended!
Sat outside for brunch. Bottomless mimosas!!
Took 20mins to be recognized by staff then seated. Left after another 20mins of being ignored.
Great location. We were headed to a Blue Jays game and it was the perfect spot. It was not too crowded and the service was great. Nice drinks as well!
We had never been and are definitely going back. Beautiful place, excellent food and the parking was very close and inexpensive. We had a great time!
Beer great, food ok
We had a pretty large group of people, they were very accommodating and patient. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very welcoming.
Service was fantastic as well as the food!
Following an event downtown my wife an I were looking for a simple but good sit down lunch. We found the Lafayette Brewing Company after a quick search of restaurants nearby. We were quickly greeted and seated at our choice of tables adjacent to the bar. Our server was also the bartender and managed to juggle both duties while remaining friendly and helpful. We started with a cheesy lobster dip. We both found it to be very good. It came with pita points and veggies. For entrees I chose a turkey wrap and my wife a venison burger. Both of these were very good. The burger came with homemade chips that were excellent. I chose to add fries instead of the chips. Our server kept our beverages full without being asked and was helpful with descriptions of our menu choices. If your looking for decent pub food in a friendly setting this is the place to go.
Food lacked flavor, employee that seated us did not greet us and was rude.
The service was excellent... our waitress was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. If I had to give one suggestion it would be to have some music playing after the upstairs festivities end...it was all of a sudden very quiet which was odd. Otherwise, amazing!
The food was actually really good. The space is amazing. I wish more of the place was open because the parts that are closed off are cooler than the part that’s open.
Made reservations for brunch. Checked open table and website. It seems all is good. We get there at 11 am and they are just opening the place. It was empty. They had one printed copy of the brunch menu. No problem we shared. They had three items. When the waitress came, we asked if this was the menu since we had checked the website, literally the day before, and it showed a much more enhanced menu. She said "Yep that is what they have but they also added French toast." When she was told about the discrepancy, she thought it might be related to COVID19. Wow. Many, Many places have been impacted by the pandemic. However, they either list a scaled back menu or place a clear notice on their website. Not these guys. I pray that they can get it together, after all it is a great location and a beautiful building.
When we got there they were closed
Great service and food
We went there for Sunday brunch and we were told they haven’t served Sunday brunch since Covid started but their website was not updated with that tidbit of info. We were handed disposable menus that had their regular lunch selections. Service was very friendly/fast. We ate outside on Washington street at a wobbly table telling random homeless people we were not giving them $5. Food was ok. We both had salads. Drinks were ok (BM and screwdriver) no mimosas served. Price was ok. Probably won’t be back.
Although no one was there took forever to get any service or drinks or apps. We left after and went somewhere else
Good food and service, absolutely beautiful architecture inside. Wish there were a few more beer selections, but enjoyed overall.
Beer was very good and the appetizers and soup were yummy but the pizza wasn’t that good unfortunately and I wouldn’t recommend getting onions on it either they were basically burnt and nonexistent but overall not bad
The food was very good, although I went there to try the pancake lasagna and it was not available this day. Very upsetting. Enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. My husband had the brunch burger and said it was the best brunch burger he has ever had. Would definitely return if they had the pancake lasagna!
We went to hang out and relax Great food nd drink Bar had great atmosphere
Great location! Decent on tap offerings! Just wasn't overjoyed about the food. I had the pulled pork nachos and there weren't enough chip to eat with the toppings. It ended up being a salad. Thank goodness we made a reservation as it was very lively and busy when we arrived. The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Our server seemed very blasé but otherwise no complaints on her service. Not sure I'd come back.
When arriving at Lafayette Brewing Co there was no host available for at least 5 minutes. Finally an employee acknowledged we were looking for help getting a table (though we made prior reservations and they did not even ask for a name). It was very chaotic seemed like employees couldn't handle a busy Saturday night. Food was mediocre. Place for getting beer as it is a brewery but would not recommended when looking for a nice sit down place to eat.
Menu was not updated, some items had been discontinued. Mimosas were warm and watered down. Our meal was finished before condiments arrived. Our bill was picked up by other staff member and our waitress questioned us about it, which made me question who took my money. Cheap brunch but not worth it.
We ate here for a Sunday Brunch. Service and food were great but it is definitely more of a bar feel to it. Looks like a great set up and we would return for an evening if we are in the area again.
The cajun chicken wings were out of this world good, like top 5 I've ever had in my life. I booked this place for a party of 6 for my boyfriend's birthday and the service was great, good beer, great ambiance, and easy to park location (street parking and lots around). I've also gone here for work happy hours in the past and they were always awesome service.
