Outdoor seating only. Was not expecting that. Everything was good but nothing to make this exceptional.
Lovely location - great food and even better desserts and hot chocolate!
Experience was great. We were really taken care of for my daughter's 13th birthday breakfast celebration!
I love this place, service was kind of slow , food was delicious, it was so beautiful inside.
The actual food menu was pretty basic, I wanted to experience MACARONS. The selection was small, but most were very tasty. Chocolate was the flavor of a fudge brownie, rose, lavender and orange blossom were expectedly floral but pleasing. Stawberry Marshmallow was deliciously fruity. Good experience.
Afternoon tea at Lauderee The Grove was an underwhelming, disappointing experience. Instead of being seated in the cute dining room for afternoon tea, we got the "dining in a mall" experience outside. The tea sandwiches were unappetizing, the madeleine was oily and flavorless, and the other pastries were mediocre. We had better macarons in the airport that morning. The only thing we *really* enjoyed was the tea, so we will not be back.
Salmon was ok but steak is not flavorful. Good portions for dieters. Dinner seating is limited to outdoors. It’s a nice setting.
The setting, under shade trees next to a pond, was spectacular on a sunny Southern California day. Great place to take out-of-towners for a taste of life in L.A. at its best. The menu works for
me as a glimpse of French food, but the Crouque Monsieur was not fully cooked, and lukewarm when served, and the salad dressing was tasteless. Loved having a glass of Sancerre with my
lunch. The decor of the shop was elegant, and the pastries beautiful to look at. After Jonathan Gold's article on the best pastry chef in the world, I was disappointed that there was not more
variety, although mine was very good. I think the owners of Laduree are taking it global, and
they'll probably make a pot of money, but the elegance is only skin deep. Paris it's not. But a
great place to celebrate good living in SouthernCalifornia.
Great experience overall. Very attentive staff. Really nice manager. Burgers overcooked a bit but the were mini sliders so we understood.
Loved this place! The ambiance was fantastic and the traditional french food was refined and sublime.
The staff was so kind and accommodating for my birthday party. Wonderful menu with gorgeous desserts. We loved our brunch and can’t wait to go back!
Disappointed is all that I can say about my first visit to Laduree. From lack of service to mediocre food, we were disappointed and underwhelmed with what we had imagined dining experience would be at Laduree. It took at least ten minutes for anyone to come by the table to take order and even then, they got the order wrong. And they don’t even validate for parking for dinner dining! So disappointed to have driven almost two hours to eat dinner here. What a wasted excitement it was for my friends and I...
What a charming spot at The Grove. I have wanted to go to the original Laduree in Paris so when I found this location in LA I was excited to bring my mom and my daughter to celebrate my mom's birthday on our girls' day out. When I made the reservation I commented that it was for a birthday and even during the reservation confirmation the gentleman I spoke with mentioned that it was for a birthday. I was a bit disappointed that our server made no mention of a birthday during our lunch. There was nothing said or done to make the experience special for my mom to celebrate her day. Our server was not very service oriented or attentive, which was too bad, but our overall experience was wonderful. The food was delicious and just the right portions so the lunch plates did not feel overwhelming with too much food. We had the Avocado Toast, Lobster Rolls and Burger Sliders and they were all delicious. The Laduree Kir Royal with rose petals were stunning and tasted as good as they looked. The true test was in the macarons we ordered to take home....they did not disappoint.
Service was atrocious. Coffee came out cold. They never refilled water. I had to get up to get check and get up to give check back. Server was super slow. Food was ok but nothing great. If I am spending $200 on lunch I would hope service to be decent. We asked for umbrella to be put up. It never happened. Not enough menus to begin with. No one was standing at host stand. Staff looked disillusioned. Will never return. I never minded price point but I can certainly spend $200 at a more deserving place.
Very disappointed with the service and waste of money , not the same as in Paris,
I’ve been to other Ladurée before and this experience has been my least favorite. The service was lacking and there was no consistency in their branding for lack of a better word. I probably wouldn’t return to this location. Ladurée is one of my favorite places to go on vacation whether it be in Europe or in the United States. This location slacks that je ne sais quoi that draws me to Ladurée.
Loved every minute of our anniversary dinner there. The chef took good care of us and the wait-staff was incredibly polite. Best mac-n-cheese I've ever had was there, as well.
When we arrived Laduree on time and we wait to be seated. And noreceiption around for more than 5 minutes. And the waiter came and try to sit us said can't find our reservation.I'm annoying. At last the receptionist finally was there and sat us down. And that night was windy, request to sit in.The answer is they had private event. And sat under the heat light. After dinner mynface got red, the next morning my face is puffy and red had allergy.Don't know is fro the food or the heat light.Anyway is not a pleasant dinner, will not consider to go back.
As many people I have encountered great managers over the years. However Dennis went over and beyond his duties to make my Mother and my day extra special. The service we received was like nothing we have ever encountered in year!!!!
We can't stress enough how much his service toward us is appreciated. WE will be back and we are already telling others to visit.
Food was overpriced and bland. The service was terrible. Most of the time you don't know who and where your waiter is, as they also work the counters inside the bakery. This is far from the standard of Laduree. Also pastries are shipped from France so they're not fresh. Also, many flavors of macarons where out when we were there for lunch.
Food was very delicious and the seating was quick. But the service was slow and the waitresses were kind of rude.
Food quite good - dessert delicious- service horrible -
I arrived 15 minutes late and I had already made an OpenTable reservation. The waiter still took my reservation even though it was busy being Christmas and all. I really appreciated that. The food was impeccable. They had a good variety of food from appetizers to desserts. I recommend asking the waiters if you aren't familiar with the food.
The food is a little on the pricey side, but it has quality. A great place to go with your friends or to celebrate a birthday. The macaroons are from Paris and they are famous for it. I highly recommend trying them. They are he absolute best. I would recommend to reserve a table. You avoid the lines and get to sit comfortably. The service was 5 star; waiters coming around to ask if you need anything. I really had no complaints. It was nice that they opened the outside on Christmas. I can't wait to visit again and sit inside.
OpenTable made it easy to reserve a table from choosing a variety of times.
Way better than Dominique Ansel next door - if you don't believe me just try their canele and walk next door to try Dominique's canele. Laduree's pastries are stunning with well-developed flavors that aren't too sweet compared to Dominique who has made desserts with good (and creative) flavor combinations but are just tooooo sweet.
Come here for the best macarons you'll ever have.
Food was good. Champagne was good. Marie Antoinette tea was fragrantly floral and uplifting. Service was very very slow.
Delicious food and truly magical during the holidays at The Grove. Highly recommend getting a reservation because it's always very busy!
Lovely. Almost like being in Paris The macaroons were fresh delicious as they are at their shop on the Rue Royale.
I was excited about this place, but maybe it's better in Europe. It's sad when European restaurants become "americanized". Overpriced for such average tasting food. For the price I paid (which was alot), I would of had a much better experience eating at Bottega Louie, downtown LA. I would NOT recommend this place if you're a foodie.
Food was excellent. Even received free macaroons for my birthday!
This was our second visit to the Laduree LA Grove location. This visit was very festive as the dining area is near the fountain and the Grove decorates that entire area for Christmas. The service was good and our waiter was very interest in us.
We ordered tea and dessert which was very good.
Food was really dry and cold
Amazing pastries and hot chocolate! Beautiful spot. Incredibly Parisian. Staff particularly unfriendly, even when I smiled at them. No smiles, no warmth. Probably a hard area to work in as far as customers, but still. That was the only thing missing.
Food was delicious! Service was HORRIBLE!
A very lovely experience. Wait staff was excellent and food was excellent.
Loved the rose petal tea
Nice view, great food. Very good experiment.
I was very disappointed in the service with this restaurant. The food was BAD and VERY expensive. I only recommend coming here for the tea, macaroons, and ambiance. I called 3 days later after dining at the restaurant to see why I never received my points from open table. I spoke to Louis who gave me some bogus answer why the points were never applied and could care less about helping me. He even gave me an attitude!! To this day the points still haven't been applied to me account. I was VERY disappointed considering how much money I spent on my meal. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE LADUREE. Save your money and eat at another restaurant at the Grove.
Friendly service. The food came in a timely manner and was quite acceptable. I ordered the sliders and they were too dry (I should have ordered medium, instead of medium well).
I will come again and try the breakfast/brunch menu.
Overall very nice!
Amazing deserts and teas, good wines and entrees, small portions.
