We went there for high tea and they had run out of many of the high tea items. I wish they would have let us know prior to trying to scrape together a poor low quality version. This location pales in comparison to NY and Europe on both ambiance and food quality. At least we had a charming French waiter...
Hope the place gets cleaner.... As time goes on, the place is becoming quite dirty...
It was very noisy, they should have a closed room for parties. Too noisy.
I had passed this trendy/touristy restaurant many times and thought it was like a pastry shop. I didn't realize it was a fantastic restaurant with adorable ambiance and culinary creativity. The restaurant section is in the back. It was terrific for Dine LA week with a fabulous fish dish, delicious cafe latte, and imaginative macarons.
The restaurant promoted the Dine LA week special menus, but it did not have the Dine LA menu available even though I made a reservation and visited during lunch hours. Very disappointing since I wanted to try the special menu.
I was so excited to go to this restaurant because I just visited Paris in the fall, unfortunately the service was very slow and the food not as good as I had anticipated. The appetizer was undercooked and my meal didn’t taste very fresh.
Overall, I would hope that they improve on service and maybe change some of the menu options . to a more Perisian style.
Do not bother to make a reservation they will NOT honor it. We drove from OC to BH we ordered our deserts and beverages and take our seating . The manager comes and says you cannot sit here, the seating is for only customers whom make reservations. Mind you the restaurant is more than 50% empty. So he forced us to get up, So I Asked him who do we make a reservation ?
You can make reservations on open table, so whilst in front of him I made a reservation for now , which was confirmed and I showed him and asked to be seated . He then responds we are sold out for the evening , I said what ! He repeated the same I said your diner is empty yes but we are sold out and as he says that 2 more tables are now being vacated . I said again you said to make a reservation with open table which I did in front of you and now you are denying me seating. He then goes onto state we are sold out and OPEN TABLE always over sells our capacity and we cannot honor those reservations. I said Man can you see your diner it’s empty and no one is here, he reply those are all reserved . Then he tells me do you not understand English.
We will never go back .
I advised that is your problem not OPen tables , he argues further not it’s not our problem
It’s open tables problem.
If I had not already paid for the over priced desserts and beverages I would have walked away, we were directed eat our snack standing whilst NO ONE ever came as sat in the back half of the diner.
This manager did a great job of being rude and loosing a customer.
The pastries and tea are almost as good as their Paris locations. Their food, however, is less than memorable.
Laduree Beverly Hills needs to up their game if they want to stay in business.
It was empty when I arrived except for one other table. No one greeted me so I finally sat myself at a table. After 5 minutes I got up to get the menu as no one brought one to me. I noticed the waiter was standing outside on the curb with his cell phone for 10 minutes. When I finally ordered it took 20 minutes to arrive during an empty seating. I also had to get up from my table to ask for the check.
No matter how cute Laduree may look, or how good its macaroons, if they don't put their customers high on the scale of service, it will close. Sad but true.
We had to ask for ice tea refills twice. Empty glasses at the start of the meal should be observed be the staff.
Went there for brunch on Saturday and the restaurant was empty. While i was waiting for my guest to join me, i asked for some water and coffee and was told they didn't have coffee because their coffee machine was broken! When i go out to brunch on the weekend, i want coffee as I'm sure many others do as well. when my friend arrived, we left and went someplace else. They were very apologetic, however, the first time i went there for brunch, they didn't have croissants or jam!!! For such a pretty place and food that is actually pretty good, they sure don't have their act together. this is one of my favorite places in Paris. Unfortunately, the Beverly Hills location doesn't hold a candle!
I took my 6 year old granddaughter to Lasiter for brunch before going to see The Nutcracker. It was one of the best possible choices for a special treat. Walking in to the restaurant, you pass a counter with the most beautiful pastries and macaroons. The decor is very whimsical and the menu had a wide choice of fooods. The manager/Waiter was charming. Everything was delicious. My granddaughter ordered hot chocolate (her favorite). It is super rich and the best that I’ve ever tasted and so rich, my granddaughter couldn’t finish it! Although everyone had more than enough to eat, I’d told my granddaughter she could have dessert. She went to the counter and picked probably the most beautiful pastry she saw. She enjoyed a little bit and was so happy that she could take the rest home. We’ll (or at least I’ll) be back!
Great presentation, great service & great food! Loved everything about this place! So Beautiful inside as well.
Excellent Service and authentic French cuisine. The macaroons are incredibly delicious and you can’t go wrong with Pistachio flavor ice cream. We are long waiting Ladurée open its first Toronto location.
We only came for tea & dessert, but it was delicious! The service was delightful, everyone was friendly & really made us feel welcome even at the end of the day. The atmosphere is unique too & so fun to go with my daughter.
Lovely place for a ladies lunch!
LAduree never disappoints. The food is the highest quality. And their deserts are world renown
Service is terrific and the fun ambience means always having a great dining experience.
We went o celebrate our friend's birthday but need up having Horrible service. Our waiter went on break before our food came out and after that no one checked on our table. We didn't get our drinks, and dessert and had to hunt down the manager to get our bill. When we told him what was going on he just said 'I'll get you your bill' no sympathy or apology was given. Never going back, Ladurée should have stayed in Paris LA is giving it a bad reputation.
It wasn't open. Open table should not have made a reservation.
Bright and cheery atmosphere. Wonderful teas and pastries. Expected better service considering the restaurant was not very busy.
We are souxj to have a Laduree in LA now! The service was great, they were very accommodating to our small children, and the food/treats were worth the hype.
Food was OK - just average and expensive. Desserts, of course, are amazing.
The dearest people- sweet- helpful
The food was lovely in this charming spot-- felt we were away somewhere else
Great assortment of teas as well
The tea was great and the food even better but the main attraction is definitely the desserts. Absolutely delish. Adam was our server and he was amazing and so attentive. We enjoyed some of the foods he suggested and were very happy. This place is a great addition to the area!!!
It is so nice to have a Laduree to go and sit down and enjoy a great breakfast or fine dessert. I have always visited Laduree in NYC and they do have a few tables to have tea but it is a bit cramped. This is lovely, the service is commendable and it was a very enjoyable experience. Try the rose croissant. It's heavenly.
People there wasn't friendly, restroom door broken
A little overpriced. Service was good but food was OK. Macarons are probably the best thing there.
Service is terrible and the actual food was lukewarm; however, pasteries are always delicious and just as authentic as the ambiance.
Oh, this little place is so cute and quaint. I took my daughter, aunt, Mom before my daughter's high school graduation. She had the french toast with the raspberry coulli on the side and we had the goat cheese egg white omelettes. Everything was very tasty and came out quickly. The coffee was divine as well. We shared a couple desserts that were just heavenly. They gave my daughter a free macaroon as a congratulations for graduating high school. We had a really nice experience.
The ambiance and the service was good but the food was too salty and the vegetables were not fresh at all. So disappointing. But the dessert was very good.
