awesome as always!!!!! IN Every regard!!! Thanks
Fun ambiance, we LOVED where they sat us so we could see the whole restaurant and experience the whole vibe. Excellent sangria, food, and service, though be prepared for all the tacos to have some heat (we tried 4 different varieties).
Although I'll always miss Crazy Water, it's the same owners and a new fave spot that I'll be visiting again soon!!
Food was amazing. Great drinks. Had reservation marked on OpenTable that this was a birthday reservation but nothing special was done. Although I realize I could have mentioned it to the server during the meal, that blows the surprise. So either something didn't go through the OpenTable app, or it was missed by the staff. Regardless, I highly recommend going here. I will definitely be going here again.
wonderful place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo or just have a nice dining experience.
The food here is amazing! Fresh, unique and so good!
Highly recommend this place!!
Service was too notch, margaritas were great and the food was top notch!
A must to eat here. Warm and inventive.
This was our first "real" dinner out since the COVID shutdown, and it did not disappoint! Very seldom do I want to go back to a restaurant right away, but I wish I could have gone back the next day. Highly recommend!
Best Mexican cuisine in Milwaukee!
This restaurant has been on our list since it reinvented itself from Crazy Water. It was our vaccination celebration dining out and was all we hoped it would be. LOVE a the food and the owner and staff are as hood as it gets.
This was the first time we’ve been here. The service was excellent and the food was very good and fresh! The guacamole was outstanding! The flavor combinations are very unique...but work well! There’s a lot of variety of chili’s used in various dishes. The beef tacos my mom had were too spicy for her, but had tons of good flavor! If you like heat...those are outstanding. They have milder dishes too! We will definitely go back!!!
Fantastic evening. The menu had something for everyone. it was a favorite when it was Crazy Water and I’ll be back to La Dama for sure. It’s a small space but the table dividers made me feel comfortable. The restaurant also had a good exhaust fan so air circulation was good.
Great to return to indoor dining at LA DAMA which had new plexiglass dividers in between tables. The cocktails/menu were unique. The Dama vodka cocktails was quite HOT but tasty. The octopus appetizer was our favorite but the no palito tacos a close second. The only disappointment was no coffee offered to accompany the churros dessert. I love my cafe!
Food was creative, clever and overall yummy. I should have been a bit more careful on spice level. LaDama cocktail was delicious, I’ll be back for it. Corn salad on roasted romaine another must have.
Everything we tried was amazing -- from the apps to the entrees. Drinks were great too -- but I have to say the churros were the absolute best ones any of us had ever had. Will definitely be going back.
Insanely delicious craft cocktails and authentic high-end Mexican cuisine. Easily one of our favorite places in Milwaukee!
Food was delicious! So many great looking dishes, it was hard to choose! Beans were amazing. We definitely plan to return soon.
Love, love LaDama! Delicious food, good service, nice ambiance.
Dinner was excellent! The Vegetable Tlayuda and caramelized Brussels sprouts were so delicious. and we were able to order them dairy free which was wonderful. The guacamole was fantastic as was the grilled romaine salad and side of rice with veggies - just great food!!
This place never disappoints. It’s a pleasure to go here. It’s intimate, the service is great and the food is terrific. Always impressive!
Everything we had at La Dama was delicious! Very thought out dishes really made for a wonderful experience in your mouth. The pancita taco was magnificent! Chilitos rellenos were spicy and flavorful. Will definitely be returning soon!
I had high hopes for LaDama, and overall, it was a disappointment. We were seated after our reservation time, which would have been fine had we not been asked to leave after less than 90 minutes.
The restaurant was packed and poorly ventilated. The outdoor patio is NOT HEATED AT ALL. People were dining with jackets and coats on. It was in the 30s when we went on a Saturday night.
1. The sea bass that was supposed to be deboned had plenty of bones in it.
2. We were charged for an appetizer we didn’t get, so check your bill closely.
3. Avoid the seared tuna taco.
4. The check arrived. When I mentioned dessert, the server said, “Didn’t you read the guidelines”? It wasn’t worth the argument. We paid and left.
We won’t be returning. We’ve been out a few times during the pandemic, and this is the first place we’ve been that uses the pandemic as an excuse to turn tables to maximize profit. There was little attention to detail...just a rushed experience.
This restaurant has it going on! I can’t wait to visit again!
This was our first time here since it changed from Crazy Water, and we loved every second of it. We sat at the booth at the end of the bar, and received perfect service from the bartender. I loved my Mexican Lollipop and my husband's margarita was delicious. The guacamole was so good we had a second order. Sea Bass, Rellenos, and Tacos were also fantastic. We were close to the host stand, and interacted with the servers, who were so much fun! We can't wait to come back.
I rarely give a restaurant/meal all 5 stars. But Peggy Magister and Emanuel Corona have created such a delightful space and a truly authentic, upscale Mexican menu that it is a pleasure to recognize and enjoy their efforts. Emanuel's mole and guacamole appetizers were to die for! I cannot stop thinking about going back for them. The salmon and pablano entrees were creative and delicious. Service was top-notch and the atmosphere is as upscale and modern as the food. I am more than ecstatic to finally have a really great Mexican restaurant in Milwaukee. Thank you Peggy and Emanuel!!!
Fab tacos. But the lamb shank is fantastico! The decor is not so bad either.
Very Good tasting, very small portions . Meant for Quality not volume.
It was delicious. Tried 6 different things and I honestly can’t tell you my favorite. Staff was exceptional the hostess made the effort to move us to a table I really wanted after the people left which was above and beyond. The server was personable and just fun.
We loved Crazy Water, but we love La Dama even more! The flavors were complex and creative w/o being too over the top. My husband had the bass which was delicious and I had the tacos. You get any 3 tacos of your choice, and i let our lovely waitress chose the top 3 for me. I ended up with the pulled pork, hangar steak and mahi mahi. The hangar steak had quite a bite, and I love spice. All 3 were fantastic, but I would rank them as Pork shoulder #1, mahi mahi #2, and hangar steak #3. We had the churros con chocolate and Carmel for dessert. These were also very good, and while the dough was light and airy, it was a bit too airy. I think the dough could be a tad bit denser. We had the margaritas too which were great. Lots of fresh lime and good tequila. I was big into the food scene when I lived in chicago for 14 years, and La Dama might be my fave restaurant in MKE that I’ve been to in the last 3 years I’ve lived here. Rick Bayless, watch out!
It is hard to top the experience we had at La Dama recently. The service was perfect, the food was exceptional and the ambiance was great. This place is a treasure.
Food here is terrific — fresh and different. Very special and unique.
Outstanding food. Quality ingredients with lots of flavor. Drinks were delish as well.
The flavors are truly authentic and amazing with a modern twist in presentation. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Lovely house cocktails!
Food Excellent. Only thing that was disappointing were the drinks, they were expensive and weak.
Outstanding! The starters were off the charts. Guacamole, a pair of moles and the Mexican short rib flatbread (WOW). We sampled 6 of the 9 taco offering and they were very good. The lamb shank was good but not up to the level the other dishes.
Our server was terrific!!
Amazing! Every single time! The food, the drinks, the service- everything. Can't recommend LaDama enough. You will not be disappointed!
The food is so interesting and delicious, unique flavors which come together to perfection! Our service was also outstanding! We are always excited to dine at LaDama because we know it will be fantastic!
Creative, but not over the top Mexican cuisine, with generous portions. The use of pomegranite seeds in the guacamole and other dishes added just the right amount of sparkle to the flavors. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Always love the food here and the creativity behind it all! From Crazy Water to La Dama I keep coming back.
Love this place! Ever-evolving menu that lets the chef have fun with flavor and ingredients! Great neighborhood spot that we are lucky to have in Milwaukee
One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life, shout out to our server Anna, she was fantastic. Will definitely come back.
