Truth be told I find the overall food scene wildly overrated in NYC. Sure, lots of choices and lots of good food, some very good. Rarely do I find really superb food. Well, it is À L’Accolade: superb. Went two nights in a row. I’m sure we’ll go again within the week. Excellent wine choices and delicious food. Great service. Highly recommended.
Great foods and service, but salty a bit
I went for a birthday in a Tuesday night. I found the hosts to be gracious and attentive. My partner and I enjoyed the food very much after deciding to get the 2 courses. I had the gnocchi and the roast chicken. Plated in an attractive manner and skillfully prepared, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back
The food was shockingly good. I was surprised, as were we all.
The food was top notch. We got 8 different dishes and each one was met with a “Wow!” Service was really attentive. Wine pairings were great. It was really a special dinner.
Valentines Day dinner. Crowded and lively but not too noisy, excellent service and delicious small plates and duck breast main.
Excellent array of natural wines, some familiar and some new to us, which is always exciting. Chose the lovely, delicate Crudo appetizer and generous and well-prepared duck entree and monkfish in green curry. Busy Saturday night was bustling but not too loud, fun spot and happy to find a place that does such well-thought-out food pairings with their natural wine selection.
Love this very special restaurant! The gougeres , chicken liver , monkfish curry, and duck all wonderful!
Do try the new sweet potato dessert, unique and really good!
Second time at the restaurant and it tends to be noise as there’s no sound absorption.
We've dined here twice and had a fine experience both times. The presumably French staff is genial and attentive, and the cuisine is lovely. I look forward to my next visit!
Had an outstanding meal at L’Accolade. The staff is incredibly dedicated to making sure that the diners have a great experience: they made sure to explain the different types of wines, each wine’s tasting profile, and they seemed genuinely concerned about whether or not we liked each glass that they poured before we committed to it. Moreover, the food was excellent, as it was creative and well-suited to the wines. You could order as much or as little to eat as you wanted, and the happy hour deals were quite good. The owners are quite amicable and loved to speak French with us! Overall I would give this restaurant 5 stars and I can’t wait to return
This was our first time here and we were delighted with the place. The food was terrific - wonderful braised endive and then delicious duck. The service was a bit sloppy and very informal but certainly friendly. The décor is simple but welcoming and the noise level was very reasonable, always much appreciated.
Loved the restaurant. It was great trying different wines. The food choice was different than anything I had and was delicious. Jacques and Benjamin were accommodating, helpful and for them being the owners there, they made you feel like family. I sill keep coming because there are tons of natural wines I need to try and everything on the menu looked great. We had the duck and chicken. It was made to perfection, it was juicy and tasty.
We've been going to L'Accolade for sometime now and they have remained consistent in terms of the quality of their food and attentive service. The natural wine list is superb and fairly priced.
Tremendous wine experience. Knowledgeable, friendly, and energetic staff. Loved every minute.
The food was fresh and flavorful, good for the price, and they have an interesting selection of natural wines that are fun to try. But we were given poor seating, at a table off on its own by the kitchen and bathrooms, and the service was haphazard, which detracted from the experience.
This place is the grownup restaurant you’ve been looking for. Everything we ordered was first-rate. And no loud music, just a cool sophisticated vibe.
The menu and food is exciting and beautifully conceived. The service is ok but wish front of the house offered more knowledge of wine and unique L’Accolade’s wine selections.
We have now been to L'Accolade three times, and the food has been outstanding each time. We particularly like the way the menu has changed slightly with each visit--so there are some consistent favorites but also new options to try. The intimate scale of the restaurant is very nice, and the staff are always very friendly. Definitely one of our favorite new places.
L’Accolade is an ideal restaurant. The food is outstanding. The wine selection is excellent. The prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and superb. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable.
This is really a lovely restaurant! We have dined here three times and each meal has been terrific.
We started with the crushed potatoes which are delicious and the creme fraiche adds a great burst of flavor.
The gougeres are very cheesy and truly memorable. The hamachi crudo was refreshingly fresh and nicely seasoned
Next we had the moist and flavorful chicken and imaginatively prepared cod with tasty accompaniments.
The desserts are also worth saving room for. Especially enjoyed the chocolate dessert , with cranberry as well as the pear
with meringue. The staff is warm and friendly and very attentive. Kudos to Jacque and his team for this creating this very special restaurant !
We had an 8pm reservation but were not seated until 8:20. Service was soooo slow. Pork chop was cold. Portions were tiny. We won’t be going back.
Had a reservation for 8; didn’t get seated until 8:40. Main courses didn’t arrive until 10 and when they did, two of the four dishes were cold. Portions were small. “Raclette” was a plate of five mozzarella sticks. Bread and butter came after the cold dishes were sent back to be reheated. Overall, very disappointing.
This would b our 3rd time visiting L'accolade and it won't b our last
Fabulous food and amazing service. Special thanks to Jacques :)
Local happy place, good food and very enthusiastic service. Owner operators make this a good spot
Pleasant comfortable setting with very good bistro fare and passionate, friendly sommelier. A great and comfortable way to spend an evening, casual, but serious about food and wine.
The food and personalities of the waiters are great, but the service is a little slow. Overall would gladly go back.
As always, bien!
Food and ambiance were excellent. Every item we ordered was very good.
Friendly, professional service, inventive and satisfying food and a list full of quirky wines to sample. My definition of a perfect combination.
Service, food and wine were disappointing. Service was particularly inattentive and somewhat unprofessional.
Service has dropped a notch. Everyone seemed pretty distracted. Still very good, but should be great.
A great addition to the neighborhood, with charming, enthusiastic hosts. The food is delicious as well. Ny second time here.
Limited menu but everything we ate was delicious. Can’t beat the value-$38 for 2 courses. Wine list has many interesting choices
This restaurant was everything I could have asked for, and more!!! The service is unparalleled, with everyone on staff being attentive and incredibly kind. The food is out of this world (get the tasting menu...you won’t regret it!) and the wine list is impeccably curated. I’ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world, and there is a special place in my heart for this place and the team.
The food was good, the service was not. It seemed like we were more of a bother than a guest. The staff however did take special care of certain tables more than others. We witnessed a Waiter asking a table of two to move from a 4 top to a two top to finish their meal because they need to seat 3 people that were friends of the chef. That was odd. We won’t be returning.
Waited nearly 1/2 hr for dessert...did not come until we asked about it... otherwise everything was great
This is an exceptionally good restaurant with excellent, warm and welcoming service, superb food and wine and a relaxed ambiance.
