2nd time here and loved it again. Tried the skinny deep dish and this will be my go to pizza going forward. Minestrone soup was solid

Great time spent at Labriola! Ambiance was a busy Italian restaurant. You could tell they had good food by the amount of people they drew. Got seated right at our reservation time, attentive with water and drinks. Waiter was timely. The food was good! I’m biased because Italian food is always good. For this meal, the appetizers outshined the entrees. The sausage and peppers, straciatella, and garlic knots were a great start. For entree, I got the skirt steak with a side of pea ricotta gnocchi. The gnocchi wasn’t what I expected, it came out as just cheese balls…

The deep dish pizza here has a phenomenal cheesy crust. It takes about 40-45 minutes for the 12” deep dish pizza to come out, so we also tried the meatballs as our appetizer. They were bomb! The cocktails were fine—not that extravagant, but well-balanced. It was super packed on a Thursday night, so I’d imagine you would want a reservation most nights of the week here.

I thought it was going to be a little nicer. It should be described differently. Known for pizza, not Italian.

The happy hour offerings are spectacular! We had the half price champagne by the bottle. It was excellent! Then, we ordered the tart cherry sangria. We used the skewered cherries in our champagne, WOW! Fried cauliflower and a meatball slider were delicious and also on the happy hour menu. We ordered a skinny deep dish pizza. The reason it is considered "skinny" is that it is made with half the crust of the deep dish regular pizza. The service was excellent. We met a manager who came by to be sure that everything was delicious!
