La ZaZa Trattoria - St. Charles
Owned by Dino Sisto, ZaZa’s Italian Steakhouse is featured in the Chicago Sun Times and the Kane County Chronicle. It has a sizable bar that serves an array of libations, including international wine and beer selections. This eatery has an outdoor patio for guests to enjoy the weather during the summer months. Catering services are also available.
Food was great but the menu could use a few additions. (Anything Parmesan, lasagna, Alfredo )
I had a meeting in St. Charles and asked a friend who is from there where to go and she suggested La ZaZa. It was awesome, simply put!
We had a wonderful dinner. Service was excellent and food was fantastic. No waiting. Everything came out in a timely manner. Loved it!
We were celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary with our Best Man and his wife.
He and I tasted the Weigu Steak and women had halibut.
Waiter Jimmie was informative and fun.
Our server was a professional and provided service that surpassed our expectations.
Great Italian food, nicely served.
Food is always solid. I have never had a dish I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Literally. Service was a little brusque on a busy Saturday night, but to be expected. Can't wait to eat the leftovers!
Great experience for our anniversary. Ample food portions. Great time overall.
The good was divine and the service spectacular. We ordered the salads, the wagyu New York strip and swordfish specials, and the sorbetto desserts. Everything was delicious, seasoned and cooked perfectly.
Jimmy welcomed us very warmly and made us feel like old friends. The restaurant was very crowded but he was incredibly attentive and made each table feel special. We rarely find that level of service unless it's a 5 star in downtown Chicago.
We enjoyed our time dining at La ZaZa's even more than the concert we attended after dinner. Fantastic experience start to finish.
Fantastic food and service at a reasonable price for an outstanding experience. A great addition to our dining rotation.
Jimmy is a great waiter with good recommendations and great knowledge of the kitchen. Service was brisk, food was good, and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Great food - we got our food and were out in time for the show at the Arcada. Great server and service. Will return when in St Charles! Wish there was valet parking, though!
We were glad we revisited Zaza’s...salmon was nicely prepared and the Italian sausage was great, friendly service...we’ll be back.
Great food and service. Good for friends and family partys. Not so much the quite place for private conversation.
Traveling to Chicago on business and glad we did not go downtown. Food was outstanding and service even better. There was 3 of us and not one of us got an entree directly off the menu. We could not decide so the waitress asked us what we liked and she suggested tweaks to menu items to customize our dishes. they were all excellent! We ordered the home made Italian sausage appetizer and it was amazing. They have a good wine list and great desert options as well. The location is very nice with easy parking options. The inside is welcoming and quiet. Great for a romantic dinner or business associates able to have a conversation without yelling at each other.
Valerie was amazing. Food outstanding!
The food was outstanding. The acoustics were deplorable. We won’t return simply because of the high sound level. Too bad. So sad.
Love ZaZas!!! Very happy to see them on Open Table to make reservations that much easier!
Great, freshly prepared food, as always. Service was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. The host came to our table as well, reinforcing the commitment to an excellent dining experience.
Excellent service. The special with peppers and Mozzarella balsamic starter was excellent. Hope it makes it to the menu
We have had the joy of coming to ZaZa's since it opened. We have never been disappointed. Last Friday was my Wife's Birthday, and we lose to go there instead of a steakhouse. usually we get the whitefish. (It is fabulous. However, they had their braised short ribs of beef as a special. We had had it before and it is just as fabulous as the fish. The service was great, and Bonnie, our waitress was unobtrusive, but there when we needed her. All I can say is for an outstandingt meal among people who become your friends, go to ZaZa.
The food was delicious and even though they were full, I never felt rushed. Our server Valerie was outstanding !
Excellent food and service. Decent wine list. Nice outdoor patio.
Six of us (old college roomies) met before dancing at the arcada speakeasy. Our service was fine.
Italian is never my favorite choice for dining out.
I found the menu somewhat limited. I ordered a tri-colored pasta rolled with a lasagna type filling with prosciutto with marinara and a four cheese sauce. It sounded but came out cold.
The other ordered meals were fine as well. Nothing amazing.
Excellent food and service. A little noisy, buy the friendly, helpful staff make up for it. I recommend it.
Food was great as always, but service was unusually slow and uninspired.
Food and service always 100% great! Lemon butter whitefish is the best I ever tasted!!!
I have been recommending ZaZa. We were very happy with everything and will be back.
We had never been to Zaza’s until recently. Now, we’ve been there twice in three weeks. Food is really good. The staff is great, especially our server Saturday, 8/24/19. She was so good, we will ask for her by name when we make reservations with the terrific app Open Table. Because of the three women at the table next to us - one trying to be louder than the other two - it was a bit noisy, but there’s not much Zaza’s could do about them. We will continue to frequent Zaza’s, and we will definitely ask for our wonderful server. Her name? You’re going to have to find out on your own.
Very good experience. Attentive service. Food tasted good and was hot. Will definitely go back.
We had not been here for a couple of years but we we pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious however, the portion on their signature white fish entree was smaller.
We were there at 6p on a Sunday evening and they had already run out of their specials. They only had 6pcs of the white fish to start the shift and we took the last two and had one more person who lost out.
I would like to see more seafood offerings as part of the regular menu.
Beautiful night sitting outside at Zaza facing the river and downtown St Charles. I had the baked clams, which were delicious. I decided to go with the lasagna app because none of my favorite pastas were on the menu. The addition of goat cheese added to its yumminess! My friend had the veal medallions which she thought was wonderful and perfectly paired with the accompaniments.
The host, could use a refresher course on being as pleasant as Jimmy (the waiter) was to your clientele. She was an older woman (blonde-ish shorter hair) and very snotty/rude. First impression is the lasting impression and I think if we were not meeting people there, we may have decided to go to one of the other fine establishments in right there on the corner. Saved by the waiter, Jimmy, he was very knowledgeable and pleasant! The food was wonderful, the chefs were on point! The drinks were tasty too, a tad over priced for the size of the margaritas. Regular 8oz glass $12.00 a glass for a margarita and a lot of ice. IF, if there was a choice in Tequila, it wasn't offered. The food, the food was very tasty.
We gathered together to welcome a family friend who is in town visiting.
Short menu means great food
The white fish is always awesome! All the food is excellent. A local gem!!
Great food, always good to excellent service, have been there many times and have never been disappointed.
Wonderful food, great server Valerie.
As a first timer to La ZaZa I chose this restaurant for my anniversary and couldn’t be more impressed all-around . My wife and me were amazed with the service and atmosphere but mostly how delicious the food was . We will absolutely be going back and plan to make it a tradition for every anniversary to celebrate dinner there!
