The gnocchi was a bit too salty and The prosciutto wrapped shrimp was clever but alas again too salty. Sat outside, but music was a bit loud. Very pleasant and upscale atmosphere.
Adorable, delicious food, service was fantastic. Outdoor seating can be loud if there is live music.
We ate dinner at La Volpe while in Austin for a conference. The food was fresh and delicious, the portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable. Our server, Barbara, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I would eat at La Volpe on a regular basis if I lived in Austin.
Both the ravioli and risotto were very authentic. Enjoyed the Classico Chianti. They were happy to have us share the dishes
Very good food at a reasonable price. Attentive and helpful waitstaff.
Cool building and the food was good but it took a really long time to get our first drink and even longer to get appetizers (over an hour for bread). The kitchen was super slow and it wasn’t that crowded. I won’t rush back.
The vibe was super cool. Outdoor seating. Great champagne. Etc. we placed our order (3 sides of vegetables and 1 pasta entree) they COMPLETELY FORGOT about us. Every table around us got their food, it took so long we had to request the food to go. It started off great and ended pretty bad, especially due to the hefty price tag.
Great spot! Lots of character. Our service was excellent and the food was fabulous! We sat outside and listened to the live music, which was a blast! Great time all around!
Not impressed, my server, Michael was great, saved the evening
The service was exceptional!! Bing was our waiter and he was so knowledgeable and helpful!! We will definitely come back! The dessert was great but way too small... carrots and mushroom parpadelle was delicious.
Our second time - we sat outside again because the patio is quaint. The brisket flatbread is delicious. My husband loved the shrimp squid ink pasta while I ordered the lamb - both weee wonderful. Attentive wait staff!
We went here for my birthday. We were excited about the menu. The fried calamari and meatball mozzarella was good. Flavor was there and quality was there. The pig ravioli was also good. The Caprese salad’s tomatoes were not firm and there was very little oil or vinegar on the dish. The mushroom pappardelle took over 30 min to arrive. The dish was very bland and not very flavorful
Sat in the courtyard with my girlfriends and we shared appetizers roasted cauliflower, fried calamari and salmon carpaccio along with the grilled romaine. There was a nice breeze and live music which made for a relaxed evening. Dalton was great and gave us an impromptu tequila tasting which was quite interesting and fun for our table.
We went for Mother's Day and it was beautiful. We picked a middle of the afternoon time and the restaurant was not crowded at all. The food was simply outstanding! The lobster eggs benedict was amazong, the shrimp grits was fantastic, and the french toast was really great as well. Our waiter was nice but slow, especially when it came to getting the check. Its a pet peeve, but I really hate to wait on my check! Food was superb!
Beautiful place. Mixture of old with new. Service was great and the food was fantastic !
great time, lovely restaurant
Our waiter was amazing! Food was phenomenal, drinks were outstanding and I would recommend 10/10.
New favorite date spot in Austin!
Great date night location. Simple menu with great items and fantastic service. Cheers!
Brandon G delivered one of the most memorable, and informative, and enjoyable dinners I’ve ever had. We sat outside and everything was perfect. Try the meatball appetizer and the Brussels!! We finished with a goat cheese cake that was perfection. Can’t recommend highly wnough
First time at Volpe and we were very impressed. The menu was varied but not providing so many choices you had difficulty ordering. The quality of ingredients was excellent and nicely presented. It helps when the staff are friendly, attentive and enthusiastic and our server (Michael) was all of those with a good sense of fun. The dining and bar spaces are very pleasant and while they have high ceilings there was no echo, in fact it created for the right ambience. Definitely coming back soon.
The have a great gluten free pasta!
The staff was great and the bartender made us some killer dirty martini's with blue cheese olives, but our entree was just ok the pasta dish was just very bland. We might go back for happy hour because the mushroom appetizer and drinks were wonderful.
Had caprese salad. Very good. Mushroom paperdelle. Huge portion. Excellent.
Worth going again.
Great Food. Good service. Quiet. Will go back. Thanks.
La Volpe was great! Dalton, our server described menu items we asked about with a lot of detail and allowed us to order the items that we would most like. All the food was excellent. Will definitely return.
The lamb was insanely delicious and our server was really great!
We knew that dining out on Saturday night of SXSW might not be a perfect experience but we were pleasantly surprised with a mostly empty restaurant and really attentive service. Everything tasted great, no issues, but when our bill came, there was an extra $10.30 “to go” fee. The waiter tried to brush it off that it was because someone else had our brought our bill when we requested it but that’s a hard sell for us, the other waiter simply hit total and brought us the bill.
It was a fantastic dinner and we had the fee removed but we were disappointed that we had to go to that trouble on an otherwise pleasant and yummy dining experience.
Actually walked here after I proposed. It was crazy SXSW outside and quite and private inside. The waitstaff was wonderful. They couldn’t open a special bottle of wine that I brought because of their alcohol license. Overall a nice private
dinner with my special lady.
This restaurant was really great. I got the duck risotto and it was incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Italian food.
Wanted to try it because it is newer to Austin. Love the location -the building is beautiful. We sat upstairs, overlooking the restaurant/bar which was nice. We like some of the entree options, but ended up doing a few starters and a few sides - and everything turned out great. Loved the Parmesan risotto. Also had the ravioli - very good. Calamari was really good - I usually don't even eat it. Meatballs were good - not great, but we finished them.
Thought the prices were good too.
TBH-did not start off so great, host was fine, but ordered from a bartender and it felt like we were bothering her.
But, then we were seated and treated to some of the best service in town. Dalton was charming and made us feel right at home. Food was excellent, wine perfect, not too loud, outdoor patio was awesome. Will be back!
Food was just ok. Went to this restaurant because of the reviews but they were deceiving.
Christian, our server, gave us all the right recommendations on food & drinks. Everything was beyond delicious. The restaurant is beautiful as well. We will definitely be back!
Place looks great. Cool atmosphere. Food was good but not great. Wine suggestion was great. Overall for the cost it wasn't what we expected.
All in all it was good, a few dishes super yummy and a few were just ok... our waiter was awesome!
Our server was great - explained all of the dishes- friendly and cool. Antica sweet vermouth for my negroni was a plus. Meals were great. Risotto was properly prepared and not mush- The roasted pepper side was not really my favorite however. All in all great little place downtown - great bar and solid menu
Excellent service. However, it was a little inside and in my opinion the food was overpriced
Everything was great. The high top chairs were uncomfortable though. Definitely a great experience for the first time here. Will definitely be coming back!
