We dined at 6 restaurants during a recent NYC stay and La Viletta was our favorite by far. I give this restaurant high marks in all categories. The service was spot on, the food fresh and flavorful (INCLUDING HOUSE MADE DESSERT!...such a welcome change from a restaurant that tries to pass of a frozen cake as their own), and a well balanced wine list with very fair pricing. This is my trifecta of a favorite spot.
It is always a pleasant experience to dine here. The staff is well trained and very focused on service. The menu choices with numerous specials please everyone.
Consistently superb food and wine in the best Italian tradition.
Consistently good food! Busy even on July 4th as great neighborhood restaurant for those of us still in NYC!
one of my favorite neighborhood places. never disappointed,
Hit and Miss. locals fill the place up quickly by 6:30. And tables very close together. Fish is Excellent and priced averaged. Chicken dishes have a lot of ingredients piled on them the
Pasta is very good but avoid any with tomatoes. Always over sauced and it drowns out the nicely al dente pasta
Wine list average. Desserts the same
For s local place not necessarily good $ value
Party of 6 and 4 of our entrees were unacceptable. Service was slow and 1 entree came out 10 minutes later. Check presented in a very rude and aggressive manner.
Excellent Food, Fast Service. The owner welcomes you at the door. Comfortable and Cozy atmosphere. Looking forward to go back
Great restaurant, delicious food.
Been there many times and will definitely return!
As usual very good food. Friendly service and good value.
Service and environment were nice. Their special list was longer than the regular menu and that should have been a sign of the problem. I think if you order off the main menu things will be fine. For example, their gnocchi was pretty good. Nice sauce and good texture; could have been pan seared a bit but overall good food for the price. Many got main dishes off the specials. Across the table, the osso bucco was off the special list and clearly was something that had been cooked days earlier (reheated, dry, overcooked, too salty and no bone marrow).
Fabulous neighborhood gem! Excellent food, service, and wine list. Can’t wait to go back.
Food consistently excellent!
Very reasonable lunch prix fix.
The food was excellent the staff very attentive and the restaurant is very small but nice ambiance.
Wonderful neighborhood gem
Neighborhood eatery that is usually laid back and not rushed This time I felt as if the waitress was rushing us. We were there for a reunion and it felt as though she was a breathing down our necks.
Always wonderful... casual... excellent service and really good food
Loved our meal! We will definitely return on our next trip to NYC!
We had an outstanding dinner at La Villetta. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. The wait staff did an excellent job of pacing and being attentive to our needs. Great dining experience!
We enjoyed the evening. Food was good. I did have to ask for bread 3 times before they brought it but that was the only negative. Very friendly, nice atmosphere.
Consistently outstanding neighborhood Italian fare
I had been to the restaurant before and enjoyed it, and returned with family last night. This time they rushed us through our meal. We sat down before 6 PM and had 3 courses in about 45 minutes. The salads were very good, but the chicken was salty. The restaurant was not crowded.
Lovely local restaurant on a small neighborhood street in a quieter area of Manhattan. A nice oasis. Great value for lunch. Very good 3 course menu. Good wine selections. Friendly wait staff. Would definitely return and also recommend to others.
Very tasty food. Not too „noisy“..
Had a table outside. Very good service.
The veal parmigiana is my favorite! so delicious! The fig appetizer is also unbelieveable
As always, La Villetta did not disappoint. Food is great as well as the wine. Luigi and his staff are exceptional and the restaurant is a treasure tucked in Beekman Hill.
Food was excellent as usual! Very busy place on a Wednesday night.
Awesome to sit outside enjoy some great food and wine... spring has sprung
Bona Pasqua! Easter dinner was superb in all respects. Our family (most of the 11 at least) had a festive celebration at Villetta. Antonio and his team made us right at home. Buon Gusto. Gracie.
Outstanding, as always.
Fantastic food and service
Gets really crowded. Pastas wonderful. Tables too close together
We moved into the neighborhood in Aug and have been looking for a great neighborhood Italian resturant. A friend of my wife told her about La Villetta. We stopped in for dinner and are hooked. Fantastic food. Amazing Service. Plus I love to sit at a bar and eat.
Busy night, but with good service and food provided the experience was superb.
Absolutely wonderful!! and the food and service amazing. Highly recommended without a doubt.
The pastas are wonderful and the fish is pristine and delicious .. excellent wine list..does get crowded, but its a neighborhood gem
My daughters birthday celebration..it was great..nice staff...delicious food wine and desserts...cozy atmosphere..we were there in the afternoon so it wasnt too crowded and therefore quiet..great place!
Food and service here is always top shelf. Full to capacity crowd so space is a bit tight and noise level is a bit high. A great place to go!
As always, La Villetta is a neighborhood treasure. Thank you, Luigi and your great staff.
