    Have driven past lots of times but never been , so booked a family meal for a Friday night. Lovely atmosphere and the food was lovely especially the fresh octopus . Service was really efficient and pleasant . Would definitely go back and would recommend

    Food was good but service on this occasion was terrible. We have dined here several times before and although sometimes the service has been slow, unfortunately this time it was extremely poor. We had to ask 3 times for a jug of water to be brought to the table. When drinks glasses were empty we were never asked if we would like more drinks and not asked if everything was fine during the meal. Given the prices you pay here the least I expect is a bit of attention to detail. Disappointed with the standard of Service on this occasion but the food was still good.

    We were staying in Cheadle & booked this Italian for dinner. Great place, would highly recommend. Our waitress was lovely, not over bearing but not on top of us.Unfortunately I don’t remember her name as I would call it out. She knew the menu and gave some good recommendations. Slow cooked beef ragu rigatoni was very good as was the Carbonara. We would definitely return if in the area.

    Food and service were very good. Charged £3.30 for a medium size Soda water and lime which was extortionate, £17.00 for 2 glasses if wine. Spoilt the experience and won’t be rushing to go back, felt ripped off.

    Lovely place to eat. Everyone very helpful and professional. The food and service were excellent. Definitely in my ‘go to’ list and will recommend to friends. Only one silly trivial comment. The front door needs a coat of paint. It’s condition belies what’s inside, which is a clean well laid out and relaxing restaurant.

    Offered a set lunch menu mon-fri but no times published. When requested was told only available till 5, rather mockingly told it was a lunch menu and obviously not available after 5, I pointed out it didn’t say that anywhere, he checked and even after realising the error, he just brushed it off. The pizza was ok, but not amazing. The pasta however was awful, small amounts, very limited ingredients and watery. One meal was returned as it was that bad and a replacement was offered but declined, if you can’t get it like the first time, what’s the point of trying again. As well as the confusion with the set menu the fact that Thursday night was meant to have a live jazz band which also didn’t happen was very disappointing as it was the only reason we booked. Won’t be returning due to the staff attitude and the quality of the food.

    First time visit to Villa Verde. Thursday nights was Jazz night but unfortunately the act never turned up so that was a little disappointing. Apart from that we really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Lovely fire kept the place warm but don’t sit too close to it as it gets very uncomfortable while eating. We will be going back. Love Italian food

    Asked for table by log fire which they lit specially for us before we arrived. Two of us wear hearing aids and asked them to turn the music off so we could hear what we were saying which they did. Polite staff, food served quickly and was all delicious and not expensive. Definitely go there again and highly recommend it.
