Great Birthday meal. When we arrived there was no booking even though I had booked through Open Table but it was no issue - shown straight to a table in the conservatory ( which I had booked for). Food was lovely. Set price menu also good value & good choices. They also acknowledged it was my birthday with a birthday ice cream & Singing which was lovely. We use the restaurant at least twice a year, however have used it for lunch and have to say it never disappoints. My son and his girlfriend were home from Australia and we wanted somewhere special for lunch . The food was amazing as usual, the staff were so welcoming and attentive throughout. Yes it’s slightly expensive but it’s quality food along with quality service. Can’t wait to return in December for our annual Christmas trip . X請問這對你有幫助嗎？

Wonderful service. The staff were so nice especially Cleo. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was so nice and the piano player just made the ambience even better. I rang the Manager to say how much we enjoyed this Restaurant.請 問這對你有幫助嗎？

My sister in law and I booked the restaurant while visiting York. It was such a lovely welcoming restaurant, seated in the conservatory. The service was fantastic with the waiting staff sp helpful and friendly. A relaxing atmosphere. The food was amazing we both had the steak and its was beautiful. We have visited this restaurant for many years and it never fails to impress. The restaurant is located in old York and was once a school - we remember it when it was!! The restaurant celebrates the history of the school throughout the building which adds to the experience. We were seated promptly in a nice part of the restaurant with a good view of the garden. Now onto the food! One word - Excellent!! Good portion sizes and very tasty. The staff are also helpful and friendly. Glad to see the toilets have had a major refurbishment! Met my friends of nearly 40 years here in York we had asked to be sat in Conservatory and was delighted to have a table there. The service and the food was excellent. The Staff was excellent- there to help but not overpowering. We ate from the Set Lunch Menu - something for everyone - very nicely presented - delicious The Four Ladies who Lunch had a great get together Will definitely return Thankyou請問這對你有幫助嗎？

I wasn't offered the vegan menu (did state one vegan attending on booking) but the waitress was very knowledgeable about what was on offer when asked. My friend's choice of the belly pork looked outstanding and she said it was totally delicious. We've been coming in for years and years and the food is the best it's ever been .
