La Unica De Nuevo Laredo Restaurant is a casual Mexican eatery with all kinds of different dishes to try. The restaurant itself is intimate and cozy, but the large floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the restaurant work to brighten the dining room by letting in plenty of natural light.La Unica is known for its delicious cuisine, but more specifically it's flautas, which have been called the best flautas in all of Laredo. There are also miniature versions called flautitas which are covered in guacamole, salsa and sour cream then served with fried beans, freshly sliced tomato and some jalapeño slices. La Unica also makes fantastic street tacos which can be purchased in groups of three or a la carte. Diners can pick from several different variations of taco, including a chicken, shrimp, steak and mushroom option.
