Food was delicious. Everything tasted wonderful from the appetizers to the dessert. We celebrated my son's birthday and it was nice and intimate for our family. Full bar but the house cocktails were refreshing & a delight.

We drove to Long Beach to meet our in-laws at this beautiful restaurant in an old classic building downtown. The service was excellent and friendly. There is a good wine list for by the glass or a bottle…we did both! There was a good variety on the menu. The house salad was delicious. I had scampi with fettuccine and my wife who is vegan had a delicious penne with vegetables. The bread was also quite good. Our in-laws also enjoyed there meals(Caesar salads, ravioli, scampi). We all decided that we would be back to meet for dinner at this excellent restaurant. We all highly recommend La Traviata!

It was a very good dinner time. We loved the cocktails, and the food. We had a couple of appetizers and each of us tried a plate. The restaurant itself is really cute. The owner was very nice to us.

La Traviata is one of our favorite restaurants, it never disappoints! We took friends who had never been there and they loved it. The food is excellent, the ambiance and piano/singer was perfect and Mario’s presence and amazing hospitality was an extra bonus, to an already perfect evening. I highly recommend for any occasion.

Celebrating my 12 yr old birthday. She loves Italian food . The service was fantastic, the food delish and Mario the owner came by to say hello and wish my daughter a happy bday. I have food allergies and the waitress was so attentive and secured the food It was such a great experience. They even hot the guitarist who were wonderful serenade her. My daughter said it was the best bday dinner she has had ever ! Thank you for making her night special - we will be back !

An absolute gem with superior old-wold cooking of a diverse menu, a well-chosen wine list, and divine desserts. The live music is tasteful and further adds to the ambiance. I make a point of dining here every time we're in Long Beach.

We loved our experience at La Traviata. The food was terrific. The service was great. The atmosphere was enjoyable. We made our reservation the time it opened on a holiday weekend. It took a few minutes for them to get everything turned on and get the place up and running but I loved that part of it too. I wish we had made our reservation a little later so we could have enjoyed the live music that started as we were leaving. I would recommend going.

Thanksgiving dinner. I will be upfront about my preference, no live music during a meal. If I want to listen to music, I will go to a bar or turn on the radio. Restaurants can be very noisy and then adding music on top of it… Makes it very difficult for people to hear each other. Food was delicious, apple tart, and apple strudel for dessert were less than inspired. The pumpkin cheesecake was good. I enjoy the ambience here.

We really enjoyed La Traviata. We are from NYC and had just arrived in Long Beach for a wedding. We found the restaurant on Open Table and decided to try it. Our server, Bobbi, was outstanding and the food was as well. My wife had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and I had the sausage fettuccine. I told the server, and then Mario the owner, that the pasta dish was as good as our favorite Italian restaurants in NYC. Highly recommend.

I ate here with my boyfriend for our 3 year anniversary and it was amazing. From start to finish everything about it was perfect. We were sat very quickly on a Wednesday evening (me made a reservation but it didn’t really make a difference). Shortly after being taken to our table we were brought bread and waters. We had the honor of having the owner of the restaurant check on us periodically throughout the night. The cocktails and the food alike were amazing. I filled up on bread and appetizers and wasn’t able to finish my entree because the portions were well sized. You definitely get what you pay for here and we will be back to for our next celebration!

Friday night at 5pm. Seated immediately. Nice size place. Very inviting décor. High ceilings and chandeliers. Hope was my waitress. Very attentive. Bread was delicious. Went with the Mozzarella Caprese salad. Just enough balsamic. I just felt like pasta and asked to go off the menu and she said "Of course." Just like that. A dish of spaghetti that was cooked perfectly al dente. A glass of Chianti Classico and Prosecco and the night was complete. Very impressed with the restaurant and would not hesitate to go back. Highly recommend.

Not that impressed. The booth bench needs replacing— I felt like I was sitting in a bucket and even my date who is 10” shorter than me was looking down at me. The ravioli was flavorless and the bread was old. Our waitress was very nice.

This was an outing for my daughter’s birthday and she chose the restaurant. I hadn’t been here for awhile and had forgotten how much I like this special place! Not only is the setting quite pleasant but there was a jazz trio to enjoy. As usual, the owner Mario, was present to be sure everything was running smoothly.

I went here last night with my boyfriend, and the whole experience was amazing. It was my first time there, and Mario is such a kind person and greeted me and took care of me the minute I walked in. He deserves 5 stars along with my server Hope she was also so lovely and very attentive. The atmosphere is very beautiful and the food was delicious. 10/10 recommend this place if you love Italian food definitely come to this place. I will be back! Thank you so much!
