Food wasn’t good last time I went there
This is our new place for brunch in Long Beach. The food is delicious. You must try the lemon pancakes, they are a mouth watering masterpiece 😋
They have live music during brunch on Sunday’s. It is such a awesome vibe. It gives off the feel of the east coast with all the historical brick buildings around it. The patio is our favor spot.
Make a reservation!
Compliments to the chef: food was good. Otherwise it was a disaster. Service was so-so; they couldn't find the 1st 2 bottles of wine we ordered; manager was rude and helped himself to some of the wine we had brought. Live music was so loud we had trouble carrying on conversation. Will not return.
Father’s Day 2021
Always the best time and best food!
Amazing!!! We will be back
My steak was over cooked and dry
First time and the breakfast carbonara for brunch was a hit! Great atmosphere and great vibe. Will be coming back to try the dinner menu!
We had a very nice time catching up!!
Outstanding service, food and ambiance. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Prices are very reasonable too!
Always delicious, great service, great ambiance the owner is amazing! This restaurant never disappoints
Ba k yo Bank with in Of our favorite restaurant in our city, thank you Mary and stuff for such a wonderful atmosphere as service
Great place AWSOME food
It was just ok.
From drinks to entrees, Traviata was simply amazing. The RISOTTO AI PORCINI E MANZO was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The band & ambiance made for a great date night.
Had a great time like always, celebrated my birthday by having brunch there.
The brunch menu is fantastic with so many choices and hard to narrow it down. I went with a group of girls and we all did a family style meal in order to try as many items as possible. I've always gone for dinner for their unreal sea bass...but brunch is AWESOME! A couple across from us had been there 2 weekends in a row! Live music...mimosas...beautiful outdoors...can't wait to visit again! Good Job!
Food was delicious, musical performers were very pleasant to the ear.
The food was amazing, musicians wonderful, host gracious, and staff spectacular.
This restaurant is wonderful, the atmosphere is beautiful. The service was fantastic- our server (Hope) was top notch. The owner took the time to come and visit with our party of 2 tables. All of the dishes we had were absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be back again.
I would NOT go there as there is absolutely NO parking around the place. The restaurant is good, but it is NOT worth the stress of attempting to find a parking place. There are many other good restaurants with available public parking thus I would recommend many others before La Traviata.
Don't know why we waited so long to try this neighborhood restaurant. We had a delightful evening sitting outdoors the sidewalk enjoying the good food and drink. Very relaxing and we appreciate how well Mario and staff have adapted to the pandemic restrictions. Hope to return soon.
Fabulous food and great outdoor dining. Food well worth the visit
Amazing from start to finish!
Best waitress ever!
Samantha was an amazing wait person in every way. Food, service, everything a true 5 star!!!
We had reservations late on a Friday in this COVID-19 world. All of the seating was outside - and we were seated immediately upon arrival with our reservation.
All of the staff was following increased safety measures: keeping as much distance as possible, wearing gloves, wearing face masks/coverings, etc.
Our waiter, Sam, was very friendly and upbeat, as well as attentive and extremely efficient. He had several tables and did not slack on his attention to any of us; even though he also was his own bartender and was called away to refill drinks multiple times. He was excellent - and 10/10 would ask to be in his section if I ever visited again.
The restaurant offered multiple samples for folks to try, as well - which is quite nice. The dinner rolls were nice and warm as they were served. We started with the brussel sprouts - one of the best we've had in our trip. The sprouts had a nice kick and were a welcome break from the standard fried approach. I had the lobster tortelli and my date had the vegetable lasagna - we both had leftovers, as the servings were generous.
There was a bit of a scene while we were there, as another diner chose to leave without paying and then threw his high top table to the ground when confronted. The owner quickly made rounds to apologize for the scene and also offered a complimentary dessert for the trouble - which was very considerate and nice.
Would love to visit again when the world returns to normal, as the interior offers nice ambiance and atmosphere (at least by design and decoration!) As it stands, with the only available seating outside, the ambiance and noise are a little out of the restaurant's control due to the street noise/traffic.
Great experience as usual
I loved the fact that the music in the background fit the sunset and the outdoor seating overall it was quite a nice experience. Although the price of the food was a bit overpriced. It was well worth it.
Absolutely amazing experience! Mario, the owner is a delight! We went for our anniversary and everything was perfect! Rose petals on the table, a bottle of champagne, and beautiful white tablecloths. The calamari was crispy and perfectly cooked. The lamb was succulent; cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the chocolate dessert that we had melted in your mouth! Mario even sang to us at the end of our meal. It was an absolute 100% perfect setting, meal, and staff for our one year anniversary. We will return!
Food was all amazing. We got the lobster Mac n cheese. My man got the filet mignon and shrimp and I got the salmon. They were very accommodating with us wanting to change our sides as well. Our waitress was very attentive( she was a blonde not sure of her name but thank you !) and it was cool that the owner came out to speak with us. Definitely will return.
Definitely stay away for Valentine's Day. They overcharge for 3 very ordinary courses. They serve pulled beef and call it fillet mignon. Absolutely no Valentine ambiance.
Great food and beverage. Nice restaurant and feel. Greeted by Mario at the table who was very engaging and offered suggestions on the menu.
The piano player was good but a bit too loud to have conversation at the dining room table. Fortunately, he stopped playing by 7:30 pm or so and we were able to converse without shouting.
Overall, very pleased and will go back soon!
Three of us went to La Traviata for Christmas dinner. When we arrived, there was no hostess, and the phone at the front desk was ringing off the hook. After waiting several minutes in the crowded bar area, we were finally shown to our table. Our server was very friendly and took our drink orders and appetizer orders right away. We ordered pumpkin soup, calamari and Brussels sprouts as appetizers. All were good, but the Brussels sprouts were unnecessarily spicy. For entrees, we ordered lasagna, rack of lamb and a traditional turkey dinner. The lamb and lasagna we're fine, but the turkey was inedible. There were three thick slices on the plate. When I cut into the first piece, I discovered it was mostly fat and skin. In fact, all if the turkey was mostly fat. I took one bite and spit it out. It made me sick. I've never seen such fatty turkey before. There was no breast meat at all, it looked like they served me the cast-off's from the bird. I called our server back to the table and said I couldn't eat what I was served. She asked if I wanted another plate, but I said I didn't trust the turkey, and decided to order spaghetti and meatballs instead. It is an Italian restaurant, so I thought it would be a safer bet. Well, my dinner companions finished their meals while I waited for spaghetti. And I waited and waited. The spaghetti never came. So, we paid our bill and left. The manager, who visited our table before any food was served, never returned to apologise or make any consolations for us. Our server was very apologetic, and comped our drinks. Unfortunately, that wasn't sufficient to encourage me to ever return.
We were dining with a 5-month old baby and were made to feel extremely welcome. We were also happy to find such a good place open on Christmas Day.
This was our first visit to La Traviata though I had wanted to try it for a long time. So when I saw they were open for Christmas I decided to bring a party of six for Christmas dinner. First the good news. We were seated promptly, the restaurant was pretty, the service was good and they even acceded to my request that we not have a round table because I hate round tables. For starters, we had brussels sprouts, lobster Mac and cheese and salad all of which were excellent. We had a bottle of Chianti which was a good value at $38. We would’ve liked to have cocktails but we asked twice for the cocktail menu and never got it. Water was refilled often. Food was good but not memorable. I had a turkey special menu which was OK but it had a slightly odd sweetness to the sauce that I didn’t like. My niece had branzino she liked and other people liked the pasta. The main reason I am not rating this restaurant higher is because of my sons filet mignon. He ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. We flagged down the server and sent it back I will say that she immediately took it off the bill without us asking her. A few minutes later a new plate came out but this time the filet was blue. It looked like it had only been waved over the flame. My son would not eat it. But he also refused to let me send it back as well. So he basically had no Christmas dinner. After our meal we were not offered any coffee or anything and it took us a while to flag down the server to get the check. Again no aperitifs. So I wouldn’t say it was a terrible meal but it was definitely disappointing after years of walking by and looking in and thinking how pretty the restaurant was. I probably would not be back. Oh I might mention that they did have someone playing the piano which was very nice during the service. And I saw someone who I presume was the owner walking around talking to people but he never came over to our table.
We walked in and the owner, Mario, introduced himself. We were seated immediately at a table by a window. The waitress was very polite and attentive. The food was superb and very reasonably priced.
Excellent atmosphere, friendly and delicious - I will go again.
