Clam pasta had lots of empty shells and 6 wafer thin clams, maybe they dissolved in the sauce?

Tasty food, quick and courteous service. Nothing to complain about.

The staff were attentive without being in your face. The food was excellent and well presented. An excellent dining experience.

Good food and service. Tables very small for 4 people.

Went for lunch and ate off the set menu. All 3 courses excellent and great value for money.

Excellent service by very friendly staff. The food was exceptional, and good value for money. Two 3 course meals and a nice bottle of red for less than £60.

Food was very good, the food was delayed due to a kitchen problem. We were given free desserts to make up for this an the waitress was very helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for coffee at the end.

Lovely atmosphere and decor, prompt friendly service and excellent food..

Having been a huge fans of this restaurant, my daughter and I stopped in for lunch on yet another pilgrimage to Newcastle to visit my son. I ordered my favourite chicken liver pate, it was delicious as usual. Followed by chicken and mushroom risotto, which whilst just as tasty as usual, was unfortunately Luke warm and had half a wishbone in it. It was the lucky half, so I can't be too harsh. We didn't have time to wait for the dish to be sent back for correction as we were wanting to get pitch side before kick off. The guy front of house has said he will speak to the kitchen and "sort something for our next visit". We will visit again, we like the place and would still recommend it.

Food was very cold … coffee was cold…. Forgot things. Cinnamon toast was cold and awful. The salmon was freezing, so fishy and made the thin toast cold.

Warm friendly greeting on arrival. We had booked in advance. Clean table in the naughty corner. Prompt efficient service. Lunch special menu excellent value,great choice, perfect food. Good vibe, quite busy but nothing too much trouble for the staff. Would genuinely recommend.

Lovely food and good service. Rang first to book a table and was told it was fully booked - meanwhile my wife was on the app and managed to book a table no problem.

Booked for 5.15 pm, Seated to the table straight away , service for drinks and menus immediately!
Ordered Bread and olives
One Vegetable pizza and a child’s carbonara and a pepperoni pizza! We can’t fault the food or service at all !
The total surrounding were wonderful and didn’t feel rushed, even with a toddler, they came with a smaller spoon!
Kids 2 courses £6 with a drink , who can complain at that , especially when your child eats well and loves Italian food .
Pizzas were outstanding,

Excellent service from our waitress. Food, Arancini, Pizza and Chocolate Brownie all superb. Great wine list, comfortable surroundings.

Our meal last night was so good just like it always is

As near to real Italian as you will get in UK. Loved it.

Nothing the same sadly - this was a favourite eatery for us pre lockdown. However, not the same quality or “Italian” feel as we knew before. We cannot comment on the Pizza as we chose pasta dishes. My husband had the meatballs with linguine ; the meatballs were nice but the sauce was totally tasteless and bland without any “Italian” flavour. I had linguine vongole which had an ok flavour but the pasta had been tossed with the liquor and was full of tiny pieces of smashed up clam shell which was quite unpleasant to eat - I was very hungry as hadn’t eaten since breakfast in anticipation of usual good meal, so I persevered picking shell out of my mouth - ugh. We paid and left without commenting to host as place was buzzing - perhaps that is the problem, too much easy custom, or perhaps just a bad day; sadly we will not be rushing to book again. (The morning croissants and coffee are excellent)

I did book even though it was Thursday lunch time, and it was quite busy. The food was very nice, and the lunch time menu is good value. Nice efficient staff, all good.😁
