Established in 1979, La Trattoria is one of Bermuda’s longest standing restaurants and a favourite of locals and visitors alike. Located in the heart of Hamilton, it is a place to savour hearty Italian food in an unpretentious, laid-back atmosphere.     Food and service are quite good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a Caprese salad made with Bermuda tomatoes, veal Marsala and steak with mushroom sauce, and shared a nice almond chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. We have been here twice, and preferred the seating in the back area, as it has more ambience and seemed quieter than the front area.

    The staff is superb. The food was great and they were very accommodating. If you have celiacs there are also plenty of options, the cook it separately and in its own area of the kitchen. They were very knowledgeable. Second time here when in Bermuda and will be back again im sure. :-)

    What a hidden gem. Tremendous homemade Italian food served by friendly and conscientious staff. Egg plant patm was out of this world

    Delicious dinner here during a recent visit to Bermuda. The service was top notch - multiple servers waiting on us. Highly recommend!

    We had a 12:15 reservation, but arrived early. We were seated right away. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was fabulous. It was freshly made just for me. My companion had the ravioli Mona Lisa with cream sauce. The ravioli was freshly made & excellent. We each had a glass of the house wine. Also, excellent. We were very pleased with our dining experience. We have a friend who will be visiting Hamilton & we recommended The Trattoria to him & his family.

    The restaurant is located in an alley. Thankfully, our taxi driver pointed it out. This is our first visit, so we would not have found the location. The food was good, and the service was quick. We ordered still and sparkling water for the table. The bottles came in unmarked/unlabeled bottles, and we were charged $9.00 per bottle, 500mls each. It made me question if the still water was tap water. Due to the presentation and delivery of the water. Overall good
