A very enjoyable dinner as always.
Excellant food! Our waiter, Damarius, was spectacular...he was very knowledgeable about the food, wine. He had a great sence of humour, making us laugh the whole evening.
Tried this for the first time last weekend. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and drinks. Good value, not overpriced. Our waiter was super- funny and very attentive. He even kept our to-go boxes in the refrigerator until after our movie. Picked them up on the way home. Will definately go back.
Skip it. Waiter pretended he was a NY Italian..he's a Floridian. Hostess was rude. food was solid but over priced for the lack of ambience and being so far from resorts.
The food and service were outstanding. One of the best small, local, non chain places to go when in Scottsdale.
Excellent professional, courteous and quality service
Food is served to order, and delicious
Everything was excellent from the crab stuffed mushrooms to the carbonara to the chocolate lava cake. We will definitely be back.
Food was excellent! Staff very friendly. I would have liked to have a little background music though.
The service and the food were both outstanding, they will modify or may whatever you like.
Found this gem on groupon, but will be back for the amazing food and Superb service. The restaurant had an excellent atmosphere and we felt extremely welcomed from the time we walked through the door. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and attentive and clearly had fine dining expertise down to a science. The restaurant offered and accommodated any substitutions we wanted to make as if it was a pleasure to do so. I am not easily impressed, but damn was I. Veal Marsala- to die for.
We were disappointed in the service. It appears they were short staffed. The food was great!!!
This wonderful Italian restaurant has always provided excellent food plus great customer service for the past 20 years. Definitely our first idea when out of town guests desire Italian cuisine. Friendly comfortable casual define the ambiance as well as Chef's flexibility to satisfy off menu dishes on our special anniversary night.
In town on spring break. Know it’s a great and special place.
Food, drinks and wine wonderful. Wait staff a bitt overwhelmed keeping up, but got there eventually on a Sunday night. I would go again, maybe not 630 on a Sunday.
We wanted to try something different, and decided to give La Torretta a try. We had seen the reviews on Open Table, and decided it was something we might like. Its our new favorite in Scottsdale! The service was outstanding, the food amazing, and the atmosphere was quite to our liking! The music was in the background, not so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation. Osso Buco was melt in your mouth tender and flavorful. My husband's eggplant parm was the best he'd ever had! Can't wait to go back!
This is our “go to” neighborhood gem — love the food, the service, the ambiance .... always consistently great.
It was just absolutely perfect! Darius was knowledgeable, attentive and overall excellent
Really liked our waiter Darius. He knows his menu and wines and he knows how to wait on people. He was excellent. The food was delicious too. The escargot made our night. The Ceasar's salad delightful. The pasta was tasty and perfect. Wine was good too. We will go back for sure.
Thursday Lunch time with reservation - sadly disappointing. Only one man running the show. I was grateful to be accommodated with seating away from the other diners, but that entailed us being overlooked in the scheme of things. Food was delicious, but exactly what you'd expect off of the menu. Had to keep requesting service, which doesn't bode well for someone on their lunch break.
We enjoyed our second meal there and will be back. Darius was great!
Our first time here but it won't be our last. Service friendly and attentive, enthusiastic. Food was excellent, great salad and the butternut ravioli was amazing. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.
Love this place. LocalDines makes the price nice. My daughter thinks it’s fancy!
Wonderful dinner as usual. Martini nice and cold. Food nice and hot
Our waiter was surely seemed overwhelmed but we could tell he was a seasoned waiter. Maybe this was his way but not very comfortable.
Food was very good! Love the meatballs and the veal picatta was fabulous. Disappointed in that I made reservations 2 weeks in advance. We were going there before a concert and the 4 of us were seated by the door by the bar in front of a window. You look out on cars, parking lot, ...I should have asked to be moved. I did not think the service was that great. We love to cook, so when we go out, we are fairly picky about service.
Large portions and good service as usual. The meals were a bit salty especially the pancette cream sauce on pena pasta. Probably would not order that again. Need to have a lighter menu.
We came out for a date night and made reservations. The restaurant was a little over half full and we arrived early. We were seated immediately. The server was great. I'm guessing there were no daily specials as he didn't mention any. Their bread is SO delicious, as is the oil combo to dip it in. We ordered a filet and a plate of crab ravioli. The portions were big, the veggies on the side were cooked well (not raw and not soggy). We had the tiramisu for dessert and it was good, different from other tiramisus we've had before.
The location is good with plenty of parking, the drinks were good the food was fair but was served too much on the luke warm side when a meal should be warmer than it was swerved.
Our waiter was very attentive the noise level was good and overall it was a pleasant evening.
We had 5:30 reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered and waited a long time for food. Stuffed mushrooms had a salty brown sauce on top. Main courses were good, but rushed because we had to leave for another event. When our bread basket was empty, and we asked for more, waiter told us they threw away 78 rolls the night before, and he wanted to know exactly how many rolls our party of 4 wanted. Asked for 2. Brought 1. Ridiculous.
Food is overall Delicious...Definatly one of our favorite places for date night or special occasion
Had very nice lunch. Hope lunch service continues. Best value
When you step in the door, you feel like you have stepped into Italy. The beautiful mural on the wall and the exceptional food aroma lets you know you are home.
We experienced excellent customer service, and the food was beyond measure. I had the lasagna, and it was just like my grandmother used to make. The food was hot and delicious.
My pal had the Ceasar salad and commented more than once the chicken wasn't dry and the salad was fresh and crunchy.
You can feel the love and time it took to prepare the sauce and these meals. I can't say enough good things about it.
Why go to that chain Italian restaurant across the street when you can eat at this gem that is locally owned and enjoy a fantastic authentic meal just like your grandmother made in her kitchen.
Once again, excellent food and outstanding service!
We had an excellent experience at La Toretta. Chaz was our server and he was amazing. The food was authentic, homemade and delicious. We loved the whole feel of the restaurant. As we live in the neighborhood , we will definetly be back. One of our new favorites!!!
Worst attempt at Italian food ever. One would be better off getting a jar of Ragu and some frozen entrees at Safeway than paying to eat here.
Another Delicious Meal at La Torretta. Darius was our server and once again he did not disappoint in giving us his full attention and making us smile with his humor. We started off with calamari fried it was so tender and fried to perfection. We then had a garden salad that was
fresh and delicious. My Brother had the cioppino and he didn't come up for air. My other Brother had the Grouper and it was made with artichokes in a white wine sauce accompanied by vegetables and he had a side of angel hair pasta with olive oil. He ate everything on his plate.
I had the eggplant and pasta and vegetables it was a generous portion and so good. We were so full we couldn't order dessert. The entire restaurant filled up by 7:30 pm so I was so happy to see that LaTorretta was doing so well. It deserves too because it is clearly one of the better Italian restaurants in Scottsdale.
The chicken Genovese was spectacularly good. We had leftovers the next day and great the second time as well. Caesar salad wonderful, sauteed calamare wonderful and the wine list filled with many Italian choices. A great evening.
Very pleased with the service and quality of the food. Our desserts were delicious, too. The owner checked on us twice during our meal. I would return without hesitation.
