La Torretta Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
On Spring Break with extended family. Took a chance on this restaurant due to the cuisine offered and proximity to our resort. Food was outstanding and our waiter Chaz made us feel like we were in his home. We did not check but we were sure there was an Italian grandma involved in that kitchen!
This was our first time eating here, and we were very pleased with everything. The food, service and atmosphere were way beyond most of the Italian restaurants in the area, particularly the big higher priced chains. As an added benefit, the portions were huge so we had enough for dinner the next night.
The restaurant was great, great easy location with plenty of parking. Very good Italian food, homemade sausages, my husband is a beer drinker not wine and the beer was very cold. Service was very good, very attentive, did not wait long for anything. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and will definitely go back.
I don't usually post a bad review but this time I will make an exception. Based on the write ups from other diners on Open Table my friends and I were expecting a really good meal. We were disappointed. Our waitress left us waiting for long periods of time. She took the coupon I had brought with me and then promptly forgot to deduct it and then when she did deduct it (with an attitude) the sales tax was not adjusted. Our meals were all just OK. We are not planning on ever going back.
Although the restaurant was less than half full, it took a long time for anyone to come to our table once we were seated, and a long time before our drink order was taken, and a long time before our dinner order was taken, and a long time for . . . well, you get the picture. Our bill was wrong - two expensive dishes were substituted for two moderately priced ones . . . good thing we checked the tab! The food was good, but similar quality and better ambiance can be found at other less expensive sites, and I've never had that kind of error on a bill before.
La Torretta Ristorante is simply a great dining experience. It is our "go to" restaurant when we want a quiet, pleasant dinner that is based on traditional Italian fare. We visit it on special occasions when we are seeking high quality food, great service, and pleasant atmosphere. La Torretta does not cater to "foodies" and people seeking a "wow" experience based on the latest trendy food and entertainment concepts. It just does a fine job of serving good Italian food in a pleasant environment.
This restaurant is our go to restaurant whenever (which is often) the mood for really good italian cuisine strikes our fancy. The service is always top notch and the food absolutely yummy. This is one restaurant we love to return to time after time as we know we will never be disappointed. We've been loyal clients for over seven years.
Our office of 5 went there for our holiday lunch. It was the first time there for all of us. It was not very busy for lunch so the service we received was outstanding. They make their own pasta, sauces, sausages, etc. The bread and oil dip was delicious! We all really enjoyed our meal there. Lunch portions were very filling. The cost was around $15 - $20 per person with tip. They have a nice bar area next to the dining. I defiantly would visit again, maybe in the evening to check out their wine selection.
The waiter tells us the specials. I ask the cost. e tells us he doesn't know exactly but
they are all around $20-$22 . My girlfriend orders one , it is $35. Not cool... hey have pasta with sausage and meatballs. I ask if I can get all meatballs , if it cost a little more that is fine. I am told NO......cmon now
