What a beautiful building and restaurant, but there was so much going on that was lacking. Theirs hours online said open at 11, but we were greeted by who seemed to be manager and told us they weren’t open yet ,so we went on a walk and came back at 12. The closed sign was still up but we walked in to check and they were open, they just forgot to flip the sign. Most of the people working seemed to be nursing a hangover or something. There was also a terrible loud, echoing beeping sound that was going off for our entire visit. When we asked about it the workers told us they’ve been suffering from this beeping sound for 5 days now. It was like a fork lift was backing up incessantly (for a week straight apparently).
Good news was the Bloody Mary was strong enough to almost forget about the beeping. Fish & chips were also pretty good and I like a batter that has a vinegar bite to it.
Might come back here on a trip to Coney Island but not a priority.
We had a great time. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She checked in regularly. There was a concert going on next door so it was a bit loud but overall it was a great place to grab nice dinner before seeing the Friday night fireworks at Coney Island.
Great ambiance. Decent food. Next visit, we'll try to sit rooftop
Very nice place for drinks and just a bite. Not a very big menu. Food was good but the portions were very small.
I wish they had a DJ on the rooftop !!!! The rest was amazing kids want to go back again.
Food was good but personally overpriced. Felt out of place, we were 1 of only two groups eating there
Our daughters 10th Birthday.
We loved it! The service, food, and ambiance were so fun and delicious! We can't wait to go back!
Food was fair..rice balls and mozzarella sticks were very good. Some dishes were very dry. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The bartender was terrific would definitely come back again.
Really delicious food! The pizza and seafood pots are so good! Really cool location right in the boardwalk.
This is a must stop in Coney Island. Fantastic bar, food is excellent, and service top notch.
I feel like the menu could be expanded to more than sandwiches. The food is delicious but highly priced for the boardwalk. There wasn’t enough staff and the manager didn’t seem to be paying attention to the service. The server was very nice but they staff is young and seemed very distracted. We didn’t get water until after we received our drinks. I know the restaurant is still fairly new but it would be ideal for you to iron out the kinks as the summer will be busier and busier.
The risotto/ rice balls had no cheese inside, the tuna in the poke bowl was cut to big, we ordered 2 mojitos that tasted horrible the bartender didn't add any simple syrup to them, the sliders and wings tasted average, the place looks great but not worth th the experience to go here
Beautiful views and atmosphere! Great option as an off the beach eatery as well as for a casual night out with family/friends. Will definately visit again!
The food isn't good, the ambience is confused, and the staff isn't trained.
The apps took very long. Infact, when they finally came out they were accompanied by our main courses. The listing was extremely stark, bright, and austere. Too fluorescent. Did not set any type of evening dining mood or atmosphere.
This is the worst I’ve ever had. 1 drink menu per table; drink orders weren’t taken or delivered together. Fish tacos; fish and chips; bbq wings - nothing tasted decent. Even had a meal returned to kitchen
The food was very good, tasted fresh. I really liked my drink a lot also, rum and mango! The waitress was very friendly and very good service. Nice atmosphere. I had reservations to be outside on the rooftop but it wasn’t open and that was okay the inside was very nice. I will come back again.
Good food, nice selection, relaxing atmosphere. Wait staff congenial.
Great location and great food ! Prices are very reasonable. Staff is helpful, courteous and pleasant. Will recommend to friends and family.
So excited to be eating at this historic location. However it was just ehhh. Nothing more then glorified bar food and it was just ok. Pizza taste was ehh. We had a reservation and we were running late, called and told them. When we showed up they said it was going to be another half hour and restaurant was empty. We asked to sit at bar and they said ok- thought they would be more attentive. They weren’t- we love sitting at a bar and clearly they may have been short staffed, however felt since we had a reservation there should have been some level
Really wanted this to be better.
The space for the restaurant is great. We just finished a photoshoot for our company Grateful Dead Jewelry Designs on the Boardwalk and ended having Lunch at La Tombola. All in the crew and models loved the place and the food.
Not bad , but we are not impressed.
Nice place- it's right on the beach.
Waited over half hour for mac and cheese and the waiter totally forgot to place my order
Love love love this place. Food was amazing and fresh and service was great. Literally worth every penny. Rooftop views and feel is amazing ! I’m so glad I live kinda close by to this gem! If you are doing a Coney Island day or live close by it’s def the spot to be this summer !
Had a great night good food nice place can’t wait until it’s fully opened nice to have a classy restaurant so close to home within walking distance
Service was horrendous. Waiter kept getting everyone’s order wrong in both English and Spanish. Everything was extremely slow as well.
We went on a rainy Friday evening the atmosphere and vibe was awesome but then we sat down and waited for our waitress and waited for our drinks and waited and waited for our appetizer which were not tasteful at all and waited and waited for our meal which had no flavor and the pull pork was dry and waited some more for our pizza which they stated would cook in less than 5 minutes due to the high heat although the atmosphere was great we will not be returning
The menu was restrained due to a special graduation event so the crab pot was not available but the food was still delicious!
The servers and bartenders were so kind!
My husband and I really wanted to like this place. This was our second time and the second time we had a number of issues, biggest being wait time of an hour for the food and the quality of the food. The first time we went was the first week they were open, and they had issues with service as well and some of the food was unavailable since they "ran out". This time around, the service was even worse that we had to speak with a manager and the food was just OK. Beer battered fish was just so bad, I would never eat something like that. Calamari was good the second time around and chicken parm sandwich was mediocre. The place is beautiful, and we really wanted to like it. I think we will give it one more try when they open the rooftop and have calamari since we know they are good and a drink. I do not recommend the food based on our two experiences.
Worst service I ever experienced and I dine out at least 3-5 times a week and I’m pretty easy going. Very disappointed as we hoped to support this new restaurant. Food was ok, probably would have tasted better if we were not having such a horrible service experience. Ambiance has its charm with the beach view and other features but it’s too big for its own good and felt like a gigantic cafeteria ....we will never dine there again.
Place is nice and kind of unique for Coney Island. A little bit pricey but worth to go once or twice a year. Food was very good and the place itself is nice, high ceilings, big bar and overall very spacious.
Foods great, especially that pizza and Riceballs.!!! Food took almost 50 minutes to be served... I’d like to think the kitchen staff is new and they are still ironing out the beginning kinks of what can become a great Coney Island restaurant! Also very affordable!
This was our first visit the food varied in choices. We had some shared dishes as starters cheese platter, mozzarella sticks, rice balls, clams...we loved them all. Bar food at an amped up level. Our server Zoe was friendly, professional and helpful. She had great energy and was attentive. She was training two other staff members ...follow Zoe's lead she did a great job! Amazing atmosphere and a beautiful space. Every Brooklynite should make there way to this location. And anyone who wants to be transported into the Coney Island Brooklyn experience should make this a destination to visit. Will be back soon!
Cute place and nice location have a quiet drinks or for young kids to roam around, and if you want to be away from the boardwalk crowds. I think they are still working out some kinks with their services and food. Definitely has potential but hope when I go back next will be much improved. Like the retro vintage vibes!
New place so def will go back to check but it took 30 min to get service and the seafood mix bowl was the dryest I've ever had.
Staff was great. The security guard greeted us at the door.
Overall it was place.
Really lovely experience. They are just getting started so some of the menu is limited, but everything was delicious and the staff was super attentive. Definitely going back
