The place was closed! I paid for a lyft to go there for no reason. they were closed!
The manager Willy went above and beyond to make our dining experience very enjoyable. It is great to be so close to the ocean and having a view of the Parachute jump in such a spacious venue is very pleasant while dining.
Practically had the place to ourselves for lunch on a sunny Tuesday afternoon on the roof top bar. Staff is very pleasant and my smashed cheese burger / brioche bun / fries and toppings as good as it can get. Right now lunch is grab and go. Moving into the neighborhood so I’ll have my lunch pow wows here. Told that when there is a concert at the Ford Amphitheater next door the place is packed, otherwise quiet in the off season which is ok w me. Lot was free that day but wish that the restaurant validated or had a discount on off season/ nights. A real treasure and the Russo’s of Garguillos who now run the place seem to be doing a good job!
Food quality was fair and rap concert next door was shopping table. Drink price was too high for quality. Need better menu selection
Service (both waiters and bar) very unexperienced, but trying hard.
Food was tasty and served in timely manner.
Interesting "Coney Island" feel ambience.
Regretfully we were not able to eat on rooftop because of the concert next to restaurant and surcharge of $20pp (!) if you eat there.
It is place to stop for lunch or early dinner if you are in Coney Island boarwalk
It was a Novas treat. I enjoyed the quality atmosphere. One big thing that was really of preference, all the beer taps were dry. They had bottles and cocktails. The Long Island they need to work on. Unfortunately it is after Labor Day so the boardwalk traffic isn’t as high. It is a gorgeous location and I highly recommend checking out after a long day on the beach or the midway. The food was exceptional and plentiful.
Was not impressed. Excepted more seeing they are owned by Gargulios. Food was just ok. Drinks were priced at concert rates and not disclosed which was also disappointing.
The staff and servers were so nice! Very friendly and made us feel right at home. Good was solid for being right next to the entrance of the show.
Thank you! My friend and I had dinner there on Sept. 13th (the night of the Foo Fighters show) and we had the BEST evening. The bar staff were fantastic, your front door security staff were incredibly patient with all the patrons and COVID-19 protocols, the hosts were fab and our waiters were so, so helpful. At the end of the night we were even treated to a ricotta cheesecake which was delicious!
I had a really good experience so THANK YOU!
Great restaurant. Food is really good and service superior.
I will say the place is beautiful
The service was off a little server was not attentive to the table wait a few time for the individual to come back drinks took a while as well
The food could be upgraded a little the wings were don’t done to our liking had to be sent back for better preparation were done well but seasoning was not
I was present for your soft opening and the food was perfect so not sure what happen from then to now
Just need a few adjustments your establishment has great potential and great location
Over all i will continue to recommend your restaurant and continue to come have a good time there now and in the future. Ms Figueroa
Food was awful
I wish zero stars was an option. From the moment we walked up to the hostess to say we had a reservation, the experience was poor. Though the decisions of management are not the fault of the hostess, her professionalism was lacking. We were told that no tables were available and the manger said not to seat anyone even if you had a reservation. When my shock wore off and I asked what could be done she said to just wait and dismissed us. What was the point of a reservation??? After complaining to the manager, we were finally seated. It took 25 minutes for waitstaff to address us! The excuse we were given is that the restaurant was short staffed. On a Saturday evening, over Labor Day when a concert is taking place next door you’d think they would have prepared. Once our food came it was subpar at best. I will never dine here again and would discourage anyone else from dining there.
I wanted to go here since it opened and unfortunately i was extremely disappointed. First, i wanted a rooftop experience and even asked for it when making my dinner reservation. Apparently they could not accommodate that, in which i wish i would have known because i ended up missing the fireworks. Then, after being seated for 15 minutes we were not approached by a server what so ever. Other parties received food while we still had not even been acknowledged. On a busy night, this would be understandable, however there were only 4 other families in the entire establishment. Finally, i reached out to a server, who ended up taking care of us, but it was clear we were not part of their section but they helped us. Our waiter was great and accommodating but since my table was kind of a last minute add we weren’t tended to as quickly. The food was great, however, and so were the drinks. Overall, this experience was disappointing, but i would still go back and hope to have a better experience the next time i attend.
Not much to say about this place. Food is just okay. The service is the problem. We waited more than 1/2 hour and no one came over. I finally had to stop a server to take our order. We ordered an appetizer that she didn’t bring but at least they didn’t charge.
Very good brick oven pizza!
Awesome old renovated building!
The other fare we ate was better then average.
Menu has lots of fried food options.
I came in to host some out of town guest. The Calamari was good, the buffalo wings were also good. We ordered a dozen Oysters however whoever shucked them just opened them and did not separate the meat from the muscle so it didn't go down smooth. the steak my boyfriend had was tough and he ordered it medium. I had shrimp and grits and it was just OK. overall the atmosphere and the appetizers were great oh and the Bloody Marys were good as well however we were all disappointed with our main course.
Wanted to try out the restaurant since it's been open. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty, nice choices. Service was great. A little too loud as a concert was going on next door @ Ford Ampitheater but other than that, nice and would definitely go back. Went up to rooftop and was nice as well.
Food and atmosphere was great. Prices were also good. Service was a little slow. Staff was attentive. Would definitely go back.
Overall, we found our dining experience to be average. Food was ok, but not awesome. Service tended to be on the slow side. Most of the time we had to wave someone down. Would go back, but not often.
First time being there I really enjoyed myself my daughter actually did to. I recommend everyone who visit Coney Island should make sure they make reservations la tombola restaurant @ opentable.
Wait staff needs to be a little more attentive. Our waitress disappeared for quite some time. We were waiting to order dessert and wrap up leftovers for a while. Other than that, food was good. I like this place.
Nice place to visit if in Coney Island. Nice touch to have the rooftop bar with seating.
What a beautiful building and restaurant, but there was so much going on that was lacking. Theirs hours online said open at 11, but we were greeted by who seemed to be manager and told us they weren’t open yet ,so we went on a walk and came back at 12. The closed sign was still up but we walked in to check and they were open, they just forgot to flip the sign. Most of the people working seemed to be nursing a hangover or something. There was also a terrible loud, echoing beeping sound that was going off for our entire visit. When we asked about it the workers told us they’ve been suffering from this beeping sound for 5 days now. It was like a fork lift was backing up incessantly (for a week straight apparently).
Good news was the Bloody Mary was strong enough to almost forget about the beeping. Fish & chips were also pretty good and I like a batter that has a vinegar bite to it.
Might come back here on a trip to Coney Island but not a priority.
We had a great time. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She checked in regularly. There was a concert going on next door so it was a bit loud but overall it was a great place to grab nice dinner before seeing the Friday night fireworks at Coney Island.
Great ambiance. Decent food. Next visit, we'll try to sit rooftop
Very nice place for drinks and just a bite. Not a very big menu. Food was good but the portions were very small.
I wish they had a DJ on the rooftop !!!! The rest was amazing kids want to go back again.
Food was good but personally overpriced. Felt out of place, we were 1 of only two groups eating there
Our daughters 10th Birthday.
We loved it! The service, food, and ambiance were so fun and delicious! We can't wait to go back!
Food was fair..rice balls and mozzarella sticks were very good. Some dishes were very dry. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The bartender was terrific would definitely come back again.
Really delicious food! The pizza and seafood pots are so good! Really cool location right in the boardwalk.
This is a must stop in Coney Island. Fantastic bar, food is excellent, and service top notch.
I feel like the menu could be expanded to more than sandwiches. The food is delicious but highly priced for the boardwalk. There wasn’t enough staff and the manager didn’t seem to be paying attention to the service. The server was very nice but they staff is young and seemed very distracted. We didn’t get water until after we received our drinks. I know the restaurant is still fairly new but it would be ideal for you to iron out the kinks as the summer will be busier and busier.
The risotto/ rice balls had no cheese inside, the tuna in the poke bowl was cut to big, we ordered 2 mojitos that tasted horrible the bartender didn't add any simple syrup to them, the sliders and wings tasted average, the place looks great but not worth th the experience to go here
Beautiful views and atmosphere! Great option as an off the beach eatery as well as for a casual night out with family/friends. Will definately visit again!
The food isn't good, the ambience is confused, and the staff isn't trained.
The apps took very long. Infact, when they finally came out they were accompanied by our main courses. The listing was extremely stark, bright, and austere. Too fluorescent. Did not set any type of evening dining mood or atmosphere.
This is the worst I’ve ever had. 1 drink menu per table; drink orders weren’t taken or delivered together. Fish tacos; fish and chips; bbq wings - nothing tasted decent. Even had a meal returned to kitchen
