Our server, Jameson, was fantastic. Food was excellent and the ambience is great. Only complaint may be is that although the wine list is very extensive, there are limitations on affordable wine.
Saturday March 30 6 pm reservation . First time here and a special night with an old friend. Special ambience, food was superb and wine menu spectacular. Best was our friend who looked after us, he made it wonderful, fun and heart warming. Will remember it for a long time for many many reasons. Thank You
A proper Italian restaurant . Good service. I loved my meal. Very crazy wines $$$.
Very tasty courses with excellent services! I would highly recommend the cheesecake dessert.
Exceptional service and food.
a long overdue return visit. really good to once again enjoy a meal in a confortable environment, tables sensibly spaced so conversation possible, sensible volume for old school background music- no boom boom boom bass. service impeccable. wine list extensive but note that focus is on higher end wines. then to top it all food was great both as regards quality and quantity. will return soon
Food was yummy. Service fantastic. We had a great dinner and stayed for hours because it was so relaxing. No one rushing us it was really nice.
We had not been there in ages and were excited to go back. What an amazing night. Service by Sam and his colleagues was outstanding, as were the food and beverages. And the owner took some interest in us as well so it made for a truly wonderful experience. We went in as patrons but left as friends. Can't beat that.
Delicious! Food is amazing, we got a seat near the fireplace. It was so romantic! Thank you for making our night so special!
Ho Hum.... certainly not a top 10 restaurant, in my view9op
Food was good, but i found it a bit overpriced, you can find same quality food in Vancouver for third of the cost at La Terraza. Service very good and decor very nice. Huge wine list.
My spouse and I came on Feb. 14th which was not only Valentine’s Day, but my birthday.
Our host was wonderful and guided us to our table - excited to dine at a restaurant with great reviews. We waited 20 minutes to be greeted (not by server), at which point we ordered a glass of bubbles. The person who delivered our drinks was our server, but never once guided our requests. Even when I asked for input, the responses were bleakly stated: “get the lamb”. At this point my spouse and I knew there was no insights to the menu to come from our server, and quickly made of desicions.
Our first course came, and we were pleasantly pleased with the taste of the items although for a three course $100 menu, was nothing exceptional. Our second course was very bad. My spouse had leaned over to try my dish (the gnocchi) and pulled out a long thick black hair - it took 5-10min to get someone’s attention. We stopped an SA and he took the dish back as I requested to change to the lamb. Post dish return, our server came to quality check (way too late) to realize we only had one dish, and I had to tell him what had happened. I received my replacement dish promptly and enjoyed it.
Dessert was next, we enjoyed the cheesecake and macaroons - 3 macaroons to which I had no idea of flavours and was left guessing what my pallet experienced. Again, very disappointed with portions size and quality. We ordered some mascato with dessert which was on the house thanks to the hair-in-food, and were thankful for this.
Finally, our plates were taken and we waited for our server to check in with us - which he never did. We had to go to the bar, ask the hostess who was wishing us a good night at this point, and received a check that was incorrect. When we did see the accurate check, my spouse paid and the bill was taken away from us - we didn’t even review the $330 that was paid.
Extremely disappointed in our experience and would not recommend or be prompt to visit again.
Came here for Valentine's with my wife. It was a set 3 course menu and we ordered 3 drinks total. They automatically added 18% gratuity with which personally I do not agree - I do feel overall the service was slow and it was not too busy in our section. Total bill was close to $300.
I had carpaccio to start which was a little bit bland and my wife had the crab salad which she enjoyed. She had beef tenderloin which she also enjoyed but it was very small. I had the lamb rack which although moist and tasty (and paired well with Cabernet franc from the okanagan), there was very little meat and a cube of potato. My wife had the Peart Tart and we both liked that. I ordered the white cheesecake and that was great - I was surprised to see a flaky pastry looking dessert but it was awesome.
I felt for what I paid, a high end steakhouse provides better value and more than a morsel of food.
Very pleasant
Excellent - family of 8 dinner prior to theatre and staff went out of their way to meet our timing and the food was excellent...we all left saying we will definitely be coming back very soon...highly recommend!
Beautiful room. Great food. Perfect for large parties.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the best beef carpaccio I have ever tasted !
Service was excellent!
Went to La Terrazza for a dine out dinner date with 3 other girlfriends. We chose this restaurant cause they offered both a gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly restaurant option.
I was impressed with the starters and desserts options, but the entree’s were not as appetizing as I would have expected it to be. Although, it was the dine out menu, so I will most likely go back to give the restaurant another shot.
Our service was mediocre (and not over and beyond as you would expect for a fine dining place like this, nonetheless he was still a friendly guy).
It was great. Incredible food!!
Great food and service we would recommend to anyone
The perfect place for date night💕
The maitre d and decor gave us the first impression that this is an upscale restaurant... but the dining experience didn't live up to the introduction. The seemingly endless list of cocktails and wines were presented to us on an electronic tablet but after 10 mins of searching we were unable to find a wine for under $500. We asked our waiter for some help. He played with the tablet for a couple of minutes and went to ask for help. Another waiter returned with a couple of Californian wines for $85 each. We asked if there were other choices under $100 and we didn't get a straight answer. So we went with one of the Californians. Looking around the large dinning room, we only saw one table with an open bottle. No surprise.
That set the tone for the evening and didn't help our impressions of the service; not very responsive and needed reminding on occasions.
Won't be going back to try again unless they receive some reliable fresh reviews and make the wine selection easier + more transparent.
We had never been here before and thought we would try it for Dine Out. We would definitely come back. Great food and great service.
Our appetizers were really delayed because they said the kitchen messed up the first attempt at mussels but when the food finally came it was very good. The Lamb and Filet were cooked perfectly and the suggested wine was outstanding
We went and had the Dine Out Vancouver menu. To start the table wasn’t fully set, cutlery was missing without wine glasses. There were a lot of servers but they seemed poorly coordinated. Our appetizer came out before our wine had even come to the table which took a while. Our server brought us over a couple of glasses of wine because our wine was late which was nice-except we ended up being charged for them at the end of the meal. (The waiter paid for them out of his own pocket it appeared.) Overall the food is very good. The wine list is extensive but it is also very overpriced. What makes a great dining experience is attention to small details. We weren’t even offered a coffee or digestive when our dessert arrived. 4 stars... we don’t think so.
Best Italian food I have ever had! Great friendly helpful staff as well!
The food was mediocre to say the least. The service was slow and not very attentive. Our table went on fire since the guy put the brad basket inside of the candle. I was quick enough to take care of it with water glasses. No one apologised or anything.
This place is good for tourist, and people who don't know what the good Italian food is. The room is nice, that's the only bonus.
The bread is delicious with two variations of olive oil dips. Each course takes 40 minutes to serve and different dishes vary in sizes. The food was cooked perfectly and the server is caring about the taste of the food. Very nice ambiance and nothing feels rushed.
It was ok if I was having dinner at local pub or family restaurant, but with this price range I think I deserved a better service and food.
The service was good. The food was good except for a chicken dish that looked and tasted like schnitzel...it was suppose to be something else.
Still a good evening
Very nice ambiance and service is great! Food was amazing. I enjoyed my dinner with friends!
New Years Eve - very good meal and value but very busy
I brought my girlfriend here after seeing the Nutcracker. Despite the fact we are both 19 and clearly on a budget, the staff made us feel like we were royalty. It was easily the most magical date night I have ever had.
From the amazing wine to our delicious main course, there isn't a single thing I would change.
Thank you for an amazing night. I'll be saving up for another one as soon as I can
Biggest disappointment for us was that for a supposed quality Italian restaurant, the children’s menu offered nothing more than burgers and chicken nuggets! No spagetti, no lasanga. Pretty poor really
This was the best restaurant we found in Vancouver. Both the food and the service were spectacular.
Love coming
Limited menu, wine list was cumbersome to navigate (iPad). Interesting vintages on the wine but very expensive. Regarding the food, other pasta portions were generous yet the cioppino portion was very small and overpriced ($37 for a cup).
Good food. Nice ambiance. Good service. Good location. A nice night out.
The food was good, ambience was nice, and service was okay. They were very accommodating to our big group and dietary restrictions but definitely not running back for “good” when there’s so many unbelievable restaurants in the city. Still, nothing bad to say.
