The staff was sweet
The food and the prices on the app is different than in the real menu. There are no tapas.
They put as in an awful table next to the toilets.
The heating was not working and when I asked to turn it on they told me they were out of gas because the provider didn’t send it. It was Sunday so I think they had freezing customers for 3 days.
Not worth the money. The food was good but the portions are small.
Chicken was raw. Staff not friendly. Overpriced. Wont return
The location and ambience was lovely. However our food didn’t all come out together, and when it did it was very salty, the chicken was tiny and didn’t have much meat on it. We also had difficulty when it came to paying and it seemed like the staff were actively trying to ignore us. Such a shame and definitely not worth the money it cost us.
Pleasant ambience, staff, service & above all, quality food...
Food and service were amazing. I’ll be back for sure.
Absolutely wonderful, start to finish. The service was perfect, food delicious and prompt, the experience evoked those wonderful evening meals one has when on holiday, somehow right in the middle of the soulless steel jungle that is Canary Wharf they have created something warming and joyous. Would not hesitate to recommend and will return for sure.
Great location but they only want to give you an hour to dine and the waiters are hard to get hold of despite them being nice. Good food very tasty and fresh but small plates
If you charge £9 for a 125 of wine you should make sure you don't take 10 minutes to serve it to the table that's next to the bar.
Atmos nice. Location nice but cold bc of the wind. But that's nature.
Food was amazing, service was even better. The setting and atmosphere was just perfect. I've recommend this place to my friends, will defo be back.
Lovely food and great service.
Would definitely recommend a visit and will return soon.
Limited menu. No tea and coffee. Expensive for food
Really disappointed. Area I was sat in was freezing with no heaters in the upper terrace. Got given the wrong side and I had finished my main dish before the correct side had come back out. Won’t return to be honest.
Our visit did not get off to a good start when problems clearing other guests meant that we were 25 minutes late getting to our table. Standing around on a chilly night was not great especially after I had been sent away for being too early and asked to return when the booking was due.
After that it was all much better. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were given a glass of Cava as an apology for being kept waiting, or it might just have been that everyone who booked through OpenTable was getting one since I spotted later that there was some kind of offer.
The menus were downloaded using a QR code and there had been no attempt to make them 'mobile friendly'. It is really unforgivable when you will have to use a mobile to have the menus as large PDFs that you need to scroll around. It actually makes working out what is available difficult.
We ordered some wine, a bit overpriced for what it was, and some of the wonderful ham. From that point things got better and better. The bread and ham was a great starter. The selection of vegetable accompaniments for the main course included many not usually seen, such as artichoke. The steaks were good and the ribs very tender. The sauce on the ribs was a bit too vinegary for my taste but it was as advertised.
We were close to the speakers which meant the base was intrusive but not so loud we couldn't talk.
As the evening wore on the place became quieter with fewer people around.
Overall, a good experience in the restaurant even if we had got off to a bad start standing outside.
Finally, a quick word about COVID. Temperatures were taken as we entered and people were asked to wear masks while they m oved about. There seemed to be a lot of, mainly men, standing around with drinks at times. I assume that the staff were asking them to sit down or move because they tended not to there for long. All the staff wore masks so once seated it felt quite safe.
Amazing!! Thank you Marco and Daniele for a special evening !
Always a favourite place
Service a little slow and some forgotten orders, but all resolved in end
Great idea ! food was good but small portions for the price so overall a bit expensive for what you get
Always a wonderful experience to eat at Iberica La Terraza but today was extra special especially after months of lockdown. Such a warm welcome, terrific atmosphere, great food and superb service. Really great to see the place so busy and so many people enjoying themselves as we head back to normality. Thank you.
Lovely atmosphere and great service. Only downside was the food. We were all vegetarian and the options were limited and not very enjoyable. Just baked potato and baked sweet potato as far as I could see? But I’d definitely return for drinks and atmosphere
Me and a girlfriend went for dinner, the outside dining area was beautiful and was in keeping with the current government guidelines. The food was amazing and our waiter Jack was lovely, taking the time to talk us through the menu and make recommendations. We booked a table for later in the month as soon as we left, great evening.
Great service and delicious food. However the outdoor seating that was outside of the main restaurant terrace area was absolutely freezing! Would have been nice to have had space heaters or something for that area.
Aweful!! We requested next to a heater, request ignored. They put us at the top area where ir was more windy. We were soo cold that had to leave without finishing my drink. The waitress ignored us when we mentioned we had booked on the condition of being next to a heater.
Great food, lots of vegan options, tables were socially distanced and staff were lovely. Will definitely go back.
❤❤❤ Wonderful experience, can't wait to go again.
Food is good, albeit not what I expected, was disappointed there was no children’s menu, although child friendly. Our service was good, table was low to the ground so a little difficult to eat (suited more drinks only)but almost better for the children to relax. We had good weather so it made it a pleasurable experience.
Great setting and service. Unfortunately menu is quite different and restrictive compared with normal restaurant. Main courses were only ok, no tapas really. None of the usual favourites.
Had the most amazing night having drinks there, best ambiance, best service and the best espresso Martin I’ve tried, would defo recommend!!
It felt like being in a proper Spanish terraza. Environment, service and food were outstanding. It went a little bit cold so some hearers coukd have been even better, but great experience
Hola! Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. Now you know where to go whenever you want to escape the city! In regards to the heaters, the management team is already taking care of it, hopefully, it will be sorted out soon. We look forward to seeing you once again! Warm regards, Ana María Mosquera Customer Relations Team
They left us freezing far from any heater and they didn't care about that when we complained. Never anymore.
Lovely place to have a drink, friendly staff... but my key piece of advice would be to avoid the food at all costs. Overpriced and uncreative, very disappointing compared to Iberica's restaurants before the pandemic. I appreciate the past 13 months have been ridiculously challenging for restaurants, but lowering the quality and increasing the prices certainly isn't the answer. We had:
- Octopus: we got a plate with 2 sad tentacles sitting on it. No garnish. No additional bells and whistles like mash or boiled potatoes, for example, which are cheap and go really well with octopus. Cost: £20, or £10 per tentacle. It was nice enough but not outstanding.
- Red prawns: 5 tiny prawns, shell-on, sitting on a bed of salt. Really hard to shell, which suggests they were not particularly fresh. Cost: £17.
- Pluma Ibérica: I reckon about 100 grams of grilled meat all by its lonesome sitting on a plate way too big for its contents. Just the meat. Cost: £18.
The best element of that meal was the bread and olive oil, which is quite telling.
So... go have a drink in the lovely terrace by all means. But unless you're about to die of starvation, I'd suggest avoiding the food.
Very nice sunny evening date night... felt staff could have been a little more attentive as they were with other tables
The service charge was shocking, they added about £18 on top of the meal. The plates weren’t big, the sides were cold which was a little surprising. If it wasn’t for me being excited to eat out it would have felt like a wasted night SMH
Amazing as always!
A special thank you to Marco and Daniele who gave us a five star customer service.
Great location and nice setting outdoors.
Food is nice but rather pricey given the small platters.
Lovely outside terrace with fabulous ambiance. Service staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
The food was amazing - no way I have had anything this lovely in lockdown !
The food is great, however the chicken is tiny and will probably avoid it next time.
Great atmosphere in the evening.
Felt very European! Loved it. I will be back soon.
Hola Abbey! Since the current situations do not allow us to travel, you know where to go whenever your soul craves some Spanish vibes. We look forward to seeing you once again, Gracias, Ana María Mosquera Customer Relations Team
Awesome drinks, ambience and service. A must to try after work in Canary Wharf!
Great to be back there, one of the nicest spots to sit outside. Of course, the menu is a bit restricted, but still a treat to be there.
Tables are well spaced, bio- security looks good, staff very welcoming.
