   Beautiful setting with a view of Marigot harbor. Excellent food and outstanding service. One of our “must visits” when we are on the island.

   My wife and I had a magnificent anniversary dinner at La Terrasse. The food, service, and ambiance were first rate and among the best I have ever experienced.

   Our food took more than an hour and twenty minutes to get to us, and I was a server at a restaurant for years. Food was getting to tables around us. Something wasn't adding up, and when I finally asked about our food, it was at our table within minutes. So all in all, it was an okay experience, but we were never checked on. Not somewhere I'd return to. Music was great though.

   La Terrasse was recommended by our hotel's concierge. While the food was good-interesting choices, and the service was great-all the waiters were very friendly and attentive, the ambience was not quite what I had in mind. Yes the views for sunset were very nice- we had a great table for the view . But I was under the impression that it was fancier/dressier than it was. It is literally on the top of a shopping mall-very ordinary not much decor- I felt a little silly in a long dress as if I was going to a fancy dinner. Its definitely more casual and its fine if that's what you expect.

   Tasty drinks, delicious food, and fantastic service! We started with Espresso Martinis, had Burrata to share, and for our mains we had the Specialty Roasted Chicken and Black Angus Steak. Everything was fabulous, and we were consistently checked up on by waitstaff (Especially Ben, shoutout to him!). The views over the water were lovely as well with the sunset. Highly recommend!

   La Terrasse was disappointing. We heard this was the #2 spot in all of Saint Martin so booked a dinner there for New Year’s Eve. We weren’t informed at time of booking that there would be a fixed menu and no à la carte menu. Thé fixed menu had decent options with a choice of duck confit or monkfish for the mains. Typically duck confit is served with the leg of the bird. This dish came out with a pulled/braised duck inside of mash. A bit odd but tasty. The monkfish was accompanied by risotto both which were flavourful. Appetizer was wahoo tayaki. Presentation was excellent and artistic. Service is where this restaurant scores a 1. The restaurant was surprisingly not busy given it was New Year’s Eve. Perhaps maybe five tables were occupied. Nevertheless the service was lacking. Our appetizers and amuse bouche arrived before our drinks did and we had to remind the server we had ordered wine. We did not receive bread for the table and the servers had to be reminded of that as well. There were no napkins at the table so we had to flag the servers down again. We had asked for sauce to be put on the side of the dish but that was also not done. Zero quality checks throughout the evening with no one to top up water or drinks. We had to wave our server down for second order of drinks. We needed salt and gave up waiting for the server and walked over to another table to grab it ourselves. We also had to go up to the bar to pay because they forgot about our table. For a fine dining restaurant that charges 180€ per head, they should be meeting basic needs and some level of customer service expectations.

   Atrocious service and the food was just as terrible. It seemed like they cared more about the in house entertainment (Hawaiian dancers) than they actually cared about serving their customers and being polite. One server was extremely rude to everyone. Understand they might’ve been understaffed but at least be honest and provide that clarity to guests instead of being rude and sarcastic. Don’t recommend can’t believe we even wasted our time and money going here.

    Open Table made a reservation for me before the restaurant actually opened but it’s an outdoor restaurant and we just sat down. Once the staff arrived, they were very nice and helpful. Food was good. Ambiance was lovely - quiet, great views. A light rain started and the staff was quick to adjust our table. Rain passed and we returned to our original table at our request and they moved everything again. Food was good - not great - but really good. A lovely evening.

    I wish I could give this a 4.5 star. The food was fantastic (we had the red snapper and the chicken Cordon Bleu, which was especially delicious). The service was very attentive and the owner came by to check on us. It is a beautiful open concept layout atop a shopping mall. Felt European. The only reason I cannot give this a five star is because of the logistics. At first, we were seated outside on the rooftop, which is lovely and would have a good view of the sunset if it were clear. Unfortunately, and of course not the fault of the restaurant, there came a pop-up rain shower. The other tables seated outside had to do a mad scramble inside. The staff did their best to get everyone reseated, but it is a much smaller space inside. Our problem was that it was very HOT inside, to the point that I lost my appetite. I realize there was no point running the a/c for a 10 minute shower, but it definitely took away from the ambience. We would definitely return, if nothing else, or the chicken cordon bleu. Go on a clear night.
