Sergio Suarez Sr. was born in Jalisco, Mexico; where tequila originates from. His son David Suarez, lead the efforts in creating La Tequileria Premium Tequila Lounge and Mexican Tapas. David saw the need for a place that captured the essence of their Mexican heritage and its sophistication. In thinking through La Tequileria's concept, he realized that the Chicago drink scene and nightlife didn't offer a place that focused on tequila. Chicago needed a place where people can learn, taste, and experience tequila as if you were in Jalisco, Mexico yourself. Through that vision, La Tequileria was born and opened its doors in late April 2017. In November 2017, the services extended to serve modern twist on Mexican Tapas!
Great Music!
Great food. Great drinks. Great music! Will surely come back for more!
Such a fun atmosphere, great food & drinks as well!
I wish there would be more variety in appetizers and food wise.
We have been here a few times for dinner and brunch. We always come away with a smile on our face and satisfaction with our taste buds! The drinks are magnificent and the new menu is wonderful!
The ambiance is very nice. The menu that is posted online is not what is offered at the restaurant. The menu in the restaurant is much smaller, so that was disappointing. The Ceviche was delicious, but I didn't like my entree. My husband's entree was okay. Their cocktails are creative and delicious. It may have been our server's first night because she didn't know the answer to any of our questions. She was very pleasant, though. I also thought it was a bit pricey.
Great place, outstanding service and ambiance and the food and drinks were amazing.
Wonderful evening great food and great music!
We had a wonderful meal and time
I highly recommend it.
The service it's excellent 👌, food and drink delicious. I love.
Music fantastic...
Always a FUN night at this place, Madera Once is awesome!
Fue la primera vez que fuimos a comer un domingo para probar el brunch menu.
Todo estuvo riquísimo.
Food was nasty and expensive. They had a very small selection and they didn’t have the avocado toast I asked for had to get the green baked chilaquiles that were nasty my friend had. Red chilaquiles super Spicy couldn’t even bite into then. My daughter had a French toast with the something that looked like whip cream nicely shaped in a nice swirl. Realize it was butter once she put it on her mouth and not whip cream like they made it look. Overall it was over priced for the crappy food they offer
Fantastic food and drinks! Love this place. Best Mexican food in the suburbs by far!
Good food, good service, and great music! Will visit again
The food, service and especially the tequila were amazing!!! Beautiful decor and attentive wait staff. Listen to their recommendations they will not lead you wrong!
What a gem! Picked up our daughter that lives in Europe from O’Hare and she wanted some Mexican food. La Tequileria is only a 20 minute drive and looked amazing. It didn’t disappoint! Bonus was Ozzie’s service and disposition. The food was amazing and weren’t we lucky for Ladies’ Night drink specials of delicious margaritas! Let me not forgot to add the live music was incredible too! Thank you so much!
Food, drinks, live music and service were great! Definitely going back
Everything we ordered was outstanding.
We had guacamole, shrimp ceviche, chips and salsa, and street style corn. Omg!! Delicious!!!!!
I had the mushroom tacos and my husband had skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. Both were very good.
You will not be disappointed.
The service here is phenomenal!! A big thank you to Fernanda and David for making this and my first visit so wonderful with their attention to detail. Also, a big thank you to Mr. Jesus Ramos for making the recommendation to this place and providing the best entertainment ever along with his fellow musicians. This was my second time visiting and I brought my work friends who enjoyed themselves very much. Will definitely be coming back for more! Almost forgot to mention, a very nice lady and gentleman whose roles I'm not familiar with yet, but assisted with a small beverage issue....they were both SO great!!!
I didn’t know the restaurant was not serving food after 9pm (the time of my reservation). The drinks were pricey, but overall the service was nice.
Absolutely loved it here! Background music volume was perfect for having great conversations. The food was delicious and the decor was warm, inviting, cozy, chic, and upscale. Great place to have a date, celebrate a momentous occasion, or simply hang out. Also, live performance was superb, as was the staff. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. Definitely a bit on the pricey side for my budget, but definitely worth every penny. I’m already saving up to go back!
About an hour into our dinner, I was outraged that the restaurant was not packed to the gills! This hidden gem in Melrose Park is amazing; the food was so fresh & innovative, and the staff was really fun & warm. My father-in-law in town from Arizona initially did not want to go get Mexican food, because he can get so much authentic stuff where he lives. At the end of the dinner, he thanked me for overruling him!
The place the food the drinks and the people that work there are amazing!! I highly reccomend this place!!!!
Great location . Drinks and food were delicious.
Very nice atmosphere, excellent drinks but a little bit expensive
My sister and I had early dinner
The cocktails were outstanding !! We tried the Jesus Maria, Paloma and and the Pina
The food was also fabulous !!
I do believe we tried every appetizer that was available.
Also the steak dinner was well prepared.
(We brought steak dinners home for her spouse and our brother) !!
I staff was extremely attentive and Elliott was very kind and extremely knowledgeable.
We made reservations for Mother's Day Brunch !!
thank you,
Lisa Cordero
Excellent place, we are planning to come back
Food & drinks were excellent. Service was very good. Love the casual atmosphere. Family friendly too.
Great drinks...I would recommend the mango and cucumber. music was mellow
Delicious food and drinks. Had a great time listening to Calaveras LD
The live music was great, went great with my drinks.
Would not recommend this place, the food is not very good nor the value for your money. Honestly I think its quite overpriced, would not return.
I loved the live music! The cucumber margarita was AMAZING!!
Excellent upscale Mexican food. A new favorite of mine.
It was pricey felt like I paid downtown Chicago prices not worth it for me sorry not sorry.
The food was amazing and they have the best tequila selection I have ever seen. I highly recommend!
This place was great! I always like to try new places and this one makes the list of places to go again. A group of friends and family went to celebrate my birthday and we all had a great time. The band started setting up while we were their and they played very well. The music fit the environment. The drinks are unique and are full of flavor. I guarantee you wont taste these drinks anywhere else. I don't know how many different tequilas they have but it had to be about 200 different types on the list. Food portion is kinda small, but still good. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. (A+ for that). I definitely recommended going at least once if you want to try some good drinks and upbeat atmosphere.
As soon as we get there staff is really nice really good service!! The food is DELICIOUS!!
More Latin music, don’t offer to the people a expensive tequila shots without say it the prices first and maybe they need to put a security guard in the place just in case!
